The first I’m hearing of Charlotte OC. …for obvious reasons. “Hangover” is off her recently released debut EP [Colour My Heart]. …But a NICE introduction! She kinda sounds like singer Elle Varner a little bit. At least on this song she does. The rest of her material is a little different. But still good.
“Hangover” is my favorite of hers so far, and by all means the standout track on her [Colour My Heart] EP. …Although the EP’s title track is arguably another. Either way, you need to listen to Charlotte OC. I lost sleep on this track last night. The chick can sing, and “Hangover” has such a cool element of badass throwback soul that’s undeniably addictive. Wtf?! I can’t get over how good this is! I literally just posted on this song last week, but I had NO idea there was a video, nor that the video was this good! Like no joke, I almost teared up. #dontjudgeme …I’ll still whoop your ass.
haha. No but seriously. This is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, and the video just made it amazing. …A good reminder of how powerful the art of music can be when done right. …Especially when matched with a just as powerful visual.
“Cavalier” is a musical/visual masterpiece. And maybe it was just the right timing… Or maybe I was just in the right frame of mind…. But something about “Cavalier” had my emotions running wild.
It felt like someone was pulling at every string in my heart connected to love, pain, and regret. ….And I was completely connected to main character’s lost sense of hopelessness.
A damn good music video, and a crazy beautiful experience. One that I certainly had to share.
