Sean Price (@SeanMandela) & Dru Ha On The Combat Jack Show

Sean Price and Duck Down Co-Founder Dru Ha  stopped by The Combat Jack Show. If ya missed out, here’s what was covered.

A week before the release of his highly anticipated album Mic Tyson, Sean Price and his Duck Down label’s president and co-founder Dru Ha stopped by the Combat Jack Show. Sean had an emergency and had to bounce as Dru walked us through close to 20 years of Boot Camp history, their alliance with Tupac, beef with The Notorious B.I.G., the definition of a truly independent record company, how Eminem got away and more. As he ran a real life one last year, Dru breaks down how his music run isn’t a race but a marathon. “Mic Tyson” hits the street October 30, 2012.

Jabb (@onetakejabb) – Pen & Paper (Mixtape)

Jabb’s Pen & Paper is finally here.  One of Alexandria, Virginia’s most promising artists has been preparing his latest mixtape for months.  The project goes back to the roots of hip-hop with a soulful take on music, one of a few reasons why Pen & Paper sounds more like an album.  A majority of the golden-age influenced production was handled by “Jake” and Jay Cornell.  Jabb also got his homies Rambo and Black Cobain as features on Pen & Paper, but aside from that its all the man himself.   Anyways, give this project a listen, you can stream and download the banger of a mixtape below. #PXP

UMG takes down Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire’s (@MRMFNeXquire) Latest Mixtape

I totally missed when eXquire dropped The Man in the High Castle tape two days ago.  There has been some controversy surrounding it, looks like Universal keeps taking it down.  The man himself said; “So I had this tape I wanted to drop but my label fighting me cuz they hate me to rap but y’all could find that shit if u smart…they keep taking it down, Ima keep putting it up… I love my label btw. Even tho they hate when I rap…”  I would post the tape but…it keeps getting take down.  eXquire has a 6-track EP on UMG coming out later this year…
