Dean Atta (@DeanAtta) – Love or Money (EP)

Saw this on SoulCulture and enjoyed it:

London based writer, performer and poet Dean Atta reveals his new poetry EP project Love or Money. Following his last EP Missing Piece, released two years ago, the BEFFTA award winning poet puts together the new five-track EP as a free download.

Atta’s poems are backed by a soundbed provided by Michael Antoniou, Kareem and Yussef Dayes, Chantelle Nandi, Renell Shaw and Ayanna Witter-Johnson.

The Love or Money EP, which touches on the topics of race, love and other social issues, also includes the thought-provoking poem “I Am Nobody’s Nigger,” released in response to the Stephen Lawrence murder trial.

The X-Factor (@TheXFactor) Reveals Trailer For Upcoming Season

X-Factor is giving fans a taste of the upcoming ninth (I think?) season, featuring the very reminiscent Alexandra Burke, One Direction, Little Mix & JLS. What’s interesting is that Shayne Ward is completely non-existent from the above trailer, and he’s not to happy about it:

I can’t help but wonder what reason Simon Cowell could have for not including the X-Factor winner…..

Chavis Chandler (@CHAVISCHANDLER) is given advice by Whoo Kid (@DJWhooKid) for MTV Rapfix (@RealSway)

Chavis Chandler, a member of Danny Brown’s Bruiser Brigade was on Rapfix recently and spoke with Sway and DJ Whoo Kid about the rap game. Give me a latepass on this, I was supposed to post it a while ago so here it is.

Here is the video they’re speaking about on Rapfix

Thaddeus David (@thaddeusdavid) – Sir Lancelot Feat. Nacho Picasso (@nachopicasso) & AV Young Blaze (@AVYOUNGBLAZE)

Seattle’s Thaddeus David links up with fellow Northwest homies Nacho Picasso and Young Blaze for this new chilled out jam.  I can’t say I’ve heard much from Davis but Nacho Picasso has been putting out heat for minute. Hopefully more to come soon.
