Singer Class Actress from NYC releases a video for her single “More Than You.” The opening shots contain some definite Lynchian references, and the video is surprisingly-well shot. The song itself is very catchy and poppy, a stylistic leap from her older stuff as well as being more accessible and club-friendly. The video presents some sex-filled (or implied) debauchery which looks like more fun than it should be, sultry and alluring.
Memory Tapes – House On Fire
Carpark Records artist Memory Tapes come chill and contemplative with “House On Fire.” Things start off vaguely Radiohead-esque with Brian Eno synths that lead to a heavenly-spun guitar. This leads into distant singing that sounds hopeful but a bit sad.
Yast – When You’re Around
A lovely dreamy and kind of jammy track by Yast of Adrian Recordings in Sweden. “When You’re Around” is reminsicent of The Cure and early 90s dream pop (ie Dinosaur Jr and Jesus and Mary Chain?). It’s a great track that will make your head swoon.
