A 34-year-old rapper and mother of ten known as “Ms. Atlanta” was shot and killed in East Atlanta while trying to break up a fight outside of a restaurant between two women. The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m., and two of her children were outside of the restaurant when their mother was hit.

X-Men producer John Palermo went on a racist rant on his Facebook page, and exclusively called out Kanye West after learning that the “Blood on the Leaves” rapper bought a house with Kim Kardashian in Bel-Air. The producer, who was once co-owner of Seed Productions with Hugh Jackman, seemed to knock Kim and Kanye’s style, calling their home a “poor Persian palace.”
“There goes the neighborhood!!! It looks like a Poor Persian Palace, where’s Kris Jenner when you need her?! #MoneyCantBuyADumbN****Class.”
Palermo had previously made shocking statements on his Facebook page, slinging gay slurs at Anderson Cooper and making other racist remarks about Julie Chen. He has since taken down the offensive messages, but claims he was only trying to raise awarness of the racism in Hollywood.

A Chicago woman has sued the Village of Skokie and one of its police officers, alleging she was seriously injured after being shoved headfirst into a concrete jail cell bench last spring. Part of the incident was recorded on a jailhouse video camera.
Big K.R.I.T. sat down with XXL to give them the explanation behind his album title for his sophomore album, Cadillactica. Read the except below.
Cadillactica—how did you come up with that name?
It’s just one of those things that I was thinking about, ’cause in my first cover Live From The Underground, it’s a Cadillac that has crash landed on planet earth. Just the whole storyline of being able to take you in reverse of where the Cadillac comes from. It’s creating this planet called Cadillactica where the soul and the funk comes from and being able to transcend my music with that idea. Diving deeper into what else can I do, how far can I take this record. How I can change these instruments and manipulate my voice; and make my voice an instrument. All these things to me are extremely important to really draw you in, to creatively try to do something totally different with this album. And I think it starts with the base of Cadillactica, you know, the planet of all this.“I feel like it’s important that I get out of my comfort zone for the sake of growth and my creativity and work with other people.”

After months of speculation, Birdman makes the official announcement tonight of The Game signing to Cash Money Records.

Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) has a suggestion for any of the hundreds of thousands of furloughed government workers worried about being able to pay their bills: take out a loan!
In a post on his personal Facebook page that was later deleted, Pearce urged government workers to call their banks and take out a short-term loan if money is tight.
“If you are a furloughed government employee, we encourage you to reach out to your financial institution as soon as you worry you may miss a paycheck,” read the post. “Don’t wait until you are behind on a bill; call now and explore your options.”
ProgressNow New Mexico, a nonprofit group that advocates progressive principles in the state, circulated a screenshot of Pearce’s Facebook post on Friday, before it was taken down.

A group of men has begun charging $5 apiece for photos of the new Banksy piece in East New York today, according to the Instagram account streetartjamz. This development is the most compelling thing about Banksy’s latest work, which before had just been a stencil painting of a beaver gnawing on a felled parking sign.
These men, heroes that they are, have elevated the original work, turning it into a performance piece about the commodification and hipster-fication of people’s homes. If you’re going to treat a neighborhood like an art museum, why shouldn’t the residents of that neighborhood charge admission like an art museum, particularly when many New Yorkers would never come to that patch of the city but to take a picture of a stencil painting of a beaver?

Dr. Ben Carson didn’t mince words: Obamacare is “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.”
Dr. Carson made the declaration about President Obama’s sweeping health care mandate Friday during a speech at the Values Voter Summit.
“It is slavery because it aims to make all of us subservient to the government,” he said. “It was never about health care. It was about control.”
Dr. Carson further compared the new health care reform to policies envisioned by Vladimir Lenin, one of the fathers of socialism and communism.
“Socialized medicine is the keystone in the establishment of a socialist state,” Dr. Carson told the audience of some 2,000 supporters of traditional values.
Such a comment may seem paranoid to some, he said, “but I would say if you know anything about history, how could you not bring it up?”
When people in the executive and legislative branch don’t have to participate, but everybody else has to, “that’s not America, that’s Russia,” he added.

A serving UK soldier has been charged with sex offences – including two counts of rape – against 11 females, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Edwin Robert Mee, 44, of Croydon, south London was charged on Thursday.
The Army sergeant faces two counts of rape, and 17 other sexual offences. The attacks allegedly took place at Army bases in Croydon and Cheam, Surrey, on two occasions in 2011.
His alleged victims were aged between 15 and 25 at the time of the assaults.
Sgt Mee is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 24 October.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said: “Any individual who is found to have fallen short of the Services’ high standards will be dealt with administratively or through the military discipline process, as appropriate.”
Yea….instead of actually running the process to actually end the government shutdown that’s currently in effect, the Democrats and Republicans, headed by their current leaders, should “keep talking”. From CNN, where you can read a lot more of nothing:
President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner agreed in a phone call Friday that talks should continue on ending the partial government shutdown and avoiding a possible default, spokesmen for the two leaders said.
However, Obama “has some concerns” with the latest House GOP proposal considered an opening gambit in the budget brinksmanship, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters.
A day of talks at the White House and in Congress produced various ideas for elements of an agreement, including changes to Obama’s signature health care reforms and a way to raise revenue to prevent forced cuts in government spending.
But there was little tangible progress toward an immediate breakthrough acceptable to the President, the GOP-led House and the Democratic-led Senate.
Carney and Boehner spokesman Michael Steel issued identical statements that the two leaders spoke by phone and called for talks to continue among all parties.
UPDATE: The alleged killer and boyfriend to the mother of Peterson’s now-deceased 2-year-old, Joseph Robert Patterson, is now charged with two felonies: aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault. After the death, South Dakota State’s Attorney Thomas Wollman told the Daily News that his office will be “looking at additional charges” now that the child has died.
Patterson is currently being held in Minnehaha County Jail. Bond was set at $750,000 cash during a hearing on Friday morning. He is next scheduled to appear in court October 23rd, but Wollman expects a grand jury to return an indictment before then.

Adrian Peterson’s 2-year-old son has died … cops have confirmed.
Cops believe Peterson’s son was severely beaten by 27-year-old Joseph Patterson, the man who was dating the mother of the NFL star’s child.
As we reported, the mother of the child has decided to donate the child’s organs to people in need.
The boy was on life support since 5:30 PM Thursday … but his condition never improved … so family members made the decision to take the child off the ventilator.
Sources tell TMZ .. Adrian was informed about the situation before the news went public.
We’re told Peterson will be planning the funeral with other members of the boy’s family.
Patterson was initially arrested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for assault and battery of an infant — and now, it’s almost certain the charges will be elevated to murder.
The details surrounding the beating are unclear — but cops say medical responders were called to the apartment where the child was living on Wednesday evening … and he was unresponsive when help arrived.
It looks like Mariah wanted to take to Facebook to let everyone know how things are going regarding her upcoming album (and the various things that have happened in between). The open letter can be found on the next page.
A few days ago, it had been reported that, sadly, Kings Of The City frontman Danny Wilder had passed on….we would like to send our condolences to his friends and family on their loss. Above, Charlie Sloth spun a mix in tribute to the fallen artist; below is an official statement from the bandmember Ali Bla Bla:
Yesterday I buried one of my best friends. There was an extremely large turn out and a lot of lovely words shared about him.
I met Danny 10 years ago by chance and since then we had been making music together. We formed our band in ‘09 and have had an honourable journey ever since.
The real struggle began last October. I remember the day Zane Lowe premiered our song on his BBC Radio 1 show. It was a new peak for us, a great, glorious moment. Spirits were high and we were unified by our new sense of hope. Two days later everything changed.
I remember being with my girlfriend late at night, talking about all the great things we were going to do as a band, and then receiving a group email from Danny to the band.
It was the worse news I had ever received.
My brother, my friend and my inspiration had been diagnosed with cancer. It felt like the world, that had finally opened its arms to me, calling me over, telling me everything was going to be ok, had suddenly turned around and done the opposite. None the less, we were ready to support our friend, and were genuinely as positive as him. We felt that this was a test from life and that he would come through winning, in a sort of true underdog sense.
In the last year we managed to record an album with Danny, which we plan to release soon. He stayed strong and positive through out the whole time, and did his best to lay down the law in the studio. Nothing was getting in his way of doing what he had to do. Something I will always respect.
His last music video filmed was for the song entitled ‘Grave Digger’. I remember it was an extremely cold winter’s day in an abandoned warehouse. It was still an amazing performance.
We played the Jazz Café on May 10th 2013. It was a very different vibe compared to our previous live shows. I was told by people after that Danny had sung the best he ever had in his life and that it was a very humbled performance from the band. All previous delusions of self righteousness and egotistical cliches had fallen out of the window. It was the last show he ever played.
Danny loved Jim Morrison and The Doors. He’d often refer to his ordeal as “Riding the Snake”, a reference to The Doors classic “The End”. Whenever there were times of despair, I would tell him: “Keep riding the snake, you’re nearly there man, keep riding.”
During the year of his cancer, we had managed to gain new management and suddenly had some new hope again. Right towards the end of his life, we were given 3 months of high end professional studio time to finish the album in by the management.
We were there for two weeks, in which Danny was only able to come once, before realising we wouldn’t be able to record again, so had to give it up. That one time he visited was his last ever recording session, which I’m glad was recorded visually.
There was nothing more heart breaking then coming to terms with accepting the possibility that he wouldn’t make it and that this was it. Whatever he had given me the honour of recording was final, and I could no longer say “Hey man why don’t you chuck this harmony on?” or, “I can’t wait till you lay that tune, let’s do that today”. This guy had songs coming out of everywhere. I still have a big bunch of demos he recorded and sent to me on his phone that we never got to finish. I hope to get them out somehow one day.
The last few weeks will always be a time that I will never be able to forget. I think is something I can only really talk about on a song or some lyrics, it takes a lot out of a man to describe the pain in his brother’s eyes.
The week before he passed, he had asked me to come and visit him, so I went and judging by his state, I knew it was the last time I was going to see him. Memari (KOTC Bassist) and myself sat with him in his room for a couple of hours and reminisced about good times. We spoke of all the stupid antics that had happened on stage over the years and had a little laugh. It was a very emotional time but we said our good byes and walked out, broken men.
The last thing Danny said to me via text was “Thanks for coming”. The last thing I replied to him was “Anytime brother”, and I stick to my word Dan.

Adrian Peterson’s 2-year-old son is currently in critical condition in a South Dakota hospital … after he was allegedly severely beaten by the man dating the mother of his child, TMZ has learned.
The Minnesota Vikings running back immediately left his team to be with his son.
Officials tell us they’ve arrested the suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Patterson … who’s been charged with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant.
According to law enforcement, emergency responders arrived to the apartment where Peterson’s son was living at 5:46 PM on Wednesday … and found the child unresponsive.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse.
Law enforcement sources tell us … the child suffered severe head injuries.

Robin Thicke has revealed he’s spent more than £320,000 on marijuana because he ‘smokes like a chimney’.
The Blurred Lines hitmaker revealed his expensive habit as he confessed he even gets medical marijuana from a friend of his.
‘I do smoke. I do everything I’m not supposed to do,’ the 36-year-old said.
‘Weed is my crutch, my muse, the lesser of all evil. I’ve spent a good $500,000 on pot. I’ve tried to quit smoking. I’ve quit everything once.
He told The Sun: ‘My buddy runs a store, I can get medical marijuana. When I’m at home, I’m a non-stop chimney.’
Thicke was detained by police last year after he was caught smoking a joint in his car in Manhattan, New York.
A police source said at the time that the singer was not driving and only a small amount of weed was found on him.
According to CBS News, he was given a desk appearance and released, but there was no comment on the situation from Thicke’s reps.

“Grand Theft Auto V” attempted to lowball rapper Daz Dillinger, then jacked his music without paying him a cent … this according to a cease and desist letter Daz fired off to the makers of GTA V.
In the letter to Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games, Daz and his attorney say “C-Walk” and “Nothin’ But the Cavi Hit” are used in the record-setting game, even though Daz turned down the company’s “offensively low offer of $4,271.00 for both songs.”
Now, the ex-member of the legendary Dogg Pound is demanding they make him a better offer or — and this is a biggie — recall and destroy ALL unsold copies of the game.
Keep in mind … more than 15 million copies of GTA V have already sold — and there are probably just as many, if not more, sitting on store shelves right now.
Not to mention the riot such a recall would cause in the gaming community.
Daz tells TMZ this case is about “respecting an artist’s work. Rockstar didn’t do that here and I can’t let them get away with it.”
Daz and his attorneys at Kushner Carlson are giving the GTA V makers 14 days to comply with their demands … or strike a deal.
With the many hits in this man’s career (if you don’t know, Google it), seeing the news that Kenneth Edmonds now has a star on Hollywood’s infamous walk is no surprise to the writer. According to Larry Brown Sports, this chick was scheming on a lot more than Ray J. We’ve recently posted about 50 Cent airing Floyd’s ex out regarding an apparent affair with Money Team custodian Ray J (more on that later), but it appears that she also managed to set up Mayweather for a quick robbery as well.
A connected source tells Larry Brown Sports that one of Mayweather’s homes was robbed the night of his Sept. 14 fight against Canelo Alvarez. Our source says about eight Rolex watches, close to $10,000 cash, and some other items were stolen from the home. Mayweather owns multiple properties in the Las Vegas area, and we’re told the home that was robbed is where Princess Love was staying.
Princess Love apparently tried pinning the burglary on one of her friends, but Floyd got in contact with that woman. The woman spilled to Floyd that Princess organized the robbery. She also apparently told Floyd that Princess was having an affair with Ray J, which is the first Mayweather learned of the relationship.
Speaking of that “relationship”, there are also a few pics that corroborate with the revelation that, while Princess was in Miami hanging with friends, it was there where she was found (by the aforementioned friend) to be screwing Brandy’s little brother.
