From TMZ:
Toni Braxton may still have a song in her heart after filing for bankruptcy, but she just lost more than 2 dozen tunes that made her famous — because some dude bought them right out from under her … TMZ has learned.
TMZ broke the story … Braxton struck a deal in her bankruptcy case, in which she settled with her various debtors. Part of the deal — Toni could buy back 27 songs from her music catalog for $20K — with one BIG string attached … she could be outbid.
Enter a guy named Ross M. Klein, who doubled Toni’s price and nabbed the tunes.
Among the 27 are a few hits, including “You’re Making Me High,” “How Many Ways,” and “Always.”
“Un-Break My Heart” is not among the 27, and we don’t know its fate … although it looks like it’s still hers.

It’s not just the fact that he was falling in and out of sleep that makes this so damning, either. From TMZ:
[DMX] was popped in South Carolina around 3AM Friday after police determined he had been driving under the influence.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether X was busted for alcohol or some other substance — but based on the dash cam footage, it appears to have been for alcohol … and not just because X was a little sleepy.
In the footage, the cop asks X if he’s been boozing, and X says he had one drink — but later it sounds like he admits to drinking “4 or 5” (the audio is pretty bad). Despite the drinks, X insists he’s not too drunk to drive. The cop doesn’t buy it.
X was booked for DUI and hauled to a nearby station. He was released from custody roughly an hour later.
The Weeknd’s next single is set to drop this week (July 30th)…..Kiss Land will be arriving September 10th.
If you’ve been hiding under a rock and haven’t seen the video, you can head here. From TMZ:
A couple of Tyga’s video vixens believe their exposed boobies in his “Make it Nasty” video are worth $10 million (per set) … because that’s the price they just named in their ongoing lawsuit.
TMZ broke the story … Elizabeth Velasquez and Azia Davies sued Tyga last year, claiming shots of their nipples ended up in his music video … without their permission. They say they were promised NO nudity.
Now, the ladies have decided on a dollar amount for the alleged xxx-up … they filed new legal docs in July asking for $10 MILLION EACH (that’s $5 MILLION per boob) in punitive damages.
Bruno Mars is currently on a world tour that will be making its stop in Kansas City, MO….and so will the hickory-smoked group Westboro Baptist Church. According to the above message, they’ll be hitting up the Sprint Centre to picket Mars for their usual fair of Clayton Bigsby-style hate-mongering….check it out for yourself.
Solange has announced that she will be canceling all of the international dates on her tour so that she can prepare for both the process of her upcoming new album as well as her sons upcoming school year:
“I am completely devastated to announce that I will be canceling my international festival dates for the Summer. I wish I could put in words how much of a difficult decision this was…but between moving part time to a new city, starting my son in a new school, and writing/ recording my new record…I really had to make the best decision for my mental/physical health and provide some stability for my family. I am so so sooooo sorry if I’ve disappointed…… and really hope to make it out to those special cities soon enough!”
She is still keeping her American dates, which are below.
08-24 Los Angeles, CA – FYF Fest
08-31 Philadelphia, PA – Made In America Festival
09-07 Boston, MA – Boston Calling
09-14 Rochester Hills, MI – Laneway Festival
09-20 Brooklyn, NY – Barclays Center *
You can see CCTV footage of the crash as it happened on the next page. From Reuters:
The driver of a Spanish train that derailed, killing at least 80 people, was under police guard in hospital on Thursday after the dramatic accident which an official source said was caused by excessive speed.
The eight-carriage train came off the tracks, hit a wall and caught fire just outside the pilgrimage destination Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain on Wednesday night. It was one of Europe’s worst rail disasters.
The source had knowledge of the official investigation into a crash which brought misery to Santiago on Thursday, the day when it should have celebrated one of Europe’s biggest Christian festivals. Authorities canceled festivities as the city went into mourning.
The Galicia regional supreme court said in a statement the judge investigating the accident had ordered police to take a statement from the driver.
He was being formally investigated and under police guard but not under arrest, the court said. He was in hospital but it was not clear what kind of injuries he had suffered.

From NBC News, where you can read the full story:
At least 100 people were killed early Saturday when riot police fired on protesters supporting deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in Cairo, activists said.
The Anti-Coup Alliance, an umbrella coalition of Morsi supporters, also said at least 5,000 people were injured near the clash in the Nasr City neighborhood of the capital.
Many of the bodies of those killed were still at a field hospital near the pro-Morsi protest site and were not officially registered with health officials. The official death toll was based only on bodies tallied at government morgues, so that figure was only at 21.
Hundreds of thousands of people took part in rival political rallies in various Egyptian cities on Friday and the violence continued into the night.
Both supporters of the army and Morsi backers had announced they would be protesting Friday and warned there could be bloodshed. Army chief Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged Egyptians earlier in the week to hold rallies to give the military a “mandate” to confront weeks of violence caused by his July 3 overthrow of Morsi, Reuters reported.
Am I the only one that’s just waiting for the moment that Diddy steps in and shuts this whole thing down? Knowing him, he’ll probably wait until they’ve put in all that hard work and finish the album. I bet that’s exactly what D. Woods is thinking.

UPDATE: From MTV:
DMX was arrested early Friday morning (July 26), but the rapper insists that the press has it all wrong.
“Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false. He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it,” the MC’s rep told MTV News in a written statement, adding that the rapper was charged with driving without a license.
MTV News reached out to the Greenville Police Department in South Carolina for confirmation, but had not heard back at press time.
“He is back at his home in South Carolina and we are continuing our focus on his upcoming album and acting roles,” his rep told MTV News.

Damn. From USA Today:
The South Carolina Highway Patrol has confirmed that DMX was charged with driving under the influence.
Earlier Friday, DMX’s publicist, Domenick Nati, had denied the charge. “Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false,” Nati’s statement read. “He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it.”
Nati told USA TODAY that the rapper was pulled over because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
The rapper was seen driving “erratically” Thursday night at about 11:30 p.m. when he was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Sgt. Bob Beres of the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s media relations department.
After failing a field sobriety test, he was transported to the Greenville Detention Center and charged with driving under the influence, not having a driver’s license and not wearing a seat belt, Beres says.
Ouch. You can check out a clip from the first and only show on that tour above (I’ve added an additional clip below as well). From Billboard:
Frank Ocean has canceled his sold-out Australian tour after suffering with throat problems on opening night. A trip to the doctors has revealed he has a tear to one of his vocal chords.
The rising R&B star had launched his inaugural tour Down Under with a concert Thursday night at Melbourne’s Festival Hall. But he didn’t pull up well.
Ocean’s Friday night show at the same venue has been shelved, and two shows next week (July 29 and July 30) at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion have also been axed, tour promoter Live Nation said today. His planned performance at Splendour in the Grass this Sunday now won’t go ahead.
“After last night’s concert… it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show,” the promoter comments in a statement. “It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.”
The artwork for Big Sean’s upcoming album Hall Of Fame was designed by Kanye West’s DONDA group. The album drops August 27th; the Deluxe Edition cover is below (as well as some Instagram commentary from Big Sean himself).
I’m down for a new project from Lil’ Kim, with a couple of reservations:
With that said, I’m interested to hear what she has to offer with her latest.
“@UnofficialRVRB: @ducidni CuDi, any chance of doing MOTM 3 with Plain Pat & Emile?” Def happening! The Real Broski's Of Manhattan return!
— Scott Mescudi (@ducidni) July 25, 2013
Definitely the right formula that made the original Man On The Moon a future classic. I definitely can’t wait for the 3rd in the series now….especially since, Pat & Emile hopefully won’t let Cudi produce the whole thing a la Indicud. I’m not saying that it was necessarily bad; I definitely want to hear his steadily progressive production on the project as well.
From The Guardian:
Greek police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old British tourist on Crete have charged a man with the killing.
Myles Litchmore-Dunbar,19, has been charged with the murder of Tyrell Matthews-Burton as well as possession of a weapon.
Police attributed the murder to gang violence between rival groups in Britain. As 19 other Britons arrested in connection with the crime appeared before a public prosecutor on Wednesday, police said they had begun to assemble a picture of two gangs “bent on destroying one another”.
“They had scores to settle long before they arrived here,” said a police officer, Yannis Phillipakis, in Heraklion, the island’s capital. “Unofficially, what we are hearing is that they brought their gang warfare to Crete.”
The murder on Tuesday of Matthews-Burton, a shop assistant, in the island resort of Malia sent shockwaves through Greece.
The young Londoner, described by neighbours as a “little gentleman”, was stabbed in the back and chest as a drunken row quickly turned into a brawl with other British holidaymakers. The ferocity of the attack caused the local coroner, Manolis Michalodimitrakis, who examined the body, to liken the assault to an execution.
With his lung and heart punctured by knife wounds, Matthews-Burton would have died within minutes, he said. The Briton was celebrating his 19th birthday at the time.
“From all the evidence, we have a prime suspect,” said Hara Didaki, another police officer on the island. “And it seems that he knew the victim.”
Another Briton also allegedly confessed on Wednesdayto participating in the killing, deepening speculation that two knives were used in the attack and prompting the public prosecutor to order that he appear before an investigating magistrate before all 19 are formally charged on Friday.”He is a member of the chief suspect’s gang,” said another police source.
Britons, after Germans, are the most frequent visitors to Greece, with party destinations such as Malia depending on young revellers.
Until the stabbing, officials had managed, with reinforced policing and help from Scotland Yard, to rein in the bad behaviour of British youngsters often travelling abroad for the first time.
“From what I am told by other tourists, these kids were at war,” sighed Giorgos Xedakis, a local shopkeeper. “It was just a matter of time before one of them died. And, in the end, it happened here.”
