Pusha T (@PUSHA_T) Says “New God Flow” Fired Shots At Birdman

Pusha T sat down with HHW and he admits some of his lines from  his single New God Flow from Cruel Summer were directed at Birdman. Check out what he had to say below.

“Claim they 5 stars but sell you dreams, they say death multiplies by 3, lines them all up and let’s just see”.

PT: I don’t know man. Like I said I have no issue with them man. I just refuse to be talked about. I will not be disrespected and anyone I stand next to wont be disrespected. I know the good intentions of my crew. They ain’t nothing like me. They ain’t like that they really just about their s**t. They really just about their music.

I take things a certain way. I take interviews in magazines personal and s**t, when you say G.O.O.D Music ain’t nothing. Like I take s**t like that sensitive. That’s how I made “New God Flow” that’s what that Isht is about. Like I take all of that personal. But never so personal that I send “F**k yous” out to anybody.

HHW: So “New God Flow” was directed at Wayne and Drake?

PT: “New God Flow” was about, in my view, something I read in a Birdman interview that I didn’t like. He said something like “G.O.O.D. Music isn’t nothing” and it had nothing to do with Wayne or Drake per se. That was Birdman saying whatever he wanted to say and that was the basis of where all of my lines came from. Everybody else was on their love of Hip-Hop s**t.

Adele (@OfficialAdele) Brings Huge Profits To Independent Label

From NME:

The success of Adele’s album ’21’ helped boost her label XL Recordings’ profits to £41.7million in 2011.

The massively popular album, which features the hit singles ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Rolling In The Deep’, sold over 10million copies in the UK after its release. The record profits have seen label boss Richard Russell paid an £8.5million dividend while parent company Beggars Banquet chief Martin Mills received a similar amount.

The huge sum is put into context by the fact the label saw its bank balance go from £3million to £32million in the space of 12 months. The label’s financial figures were revealed by the Sunday Times Business supplement.

Leona Lewis (@LeonaLewisMusic) Claims Rihanna (@Rihanna) Hit Was Originally For Her

Not like it really matters at this point, but….from the Daily Star:

The X Factor superstar was originally chosen to sing the Calvin Harris hit but ended up losing out to RiRi.

Although LeLe’s version has been relegated to the trash can she reckons it’s better than the Bajan babe’s.

Leona told me: “I worked with Calvin and we recorded We Found Love. But he went touring with Rihanna and she ended up releasing it.

“I didn’t commit to it because I wanted Trouble to be my first single so I think that was another reason they went with Rihanna. It was the same version and production but mine’s better.”

Example (@Example) Slams Nicki Minaj (@NickiMinaj) In ‘The Sun’

First Labrinth let’s his feelings known, and now Example goes in on the American artist after her tiff with Mariah Carey…from The Sun:

Nicki Minaj’s rant at Mariah Carey on American Idol didn’t impress Example.

He said: “I’ve met Minaj. I’m not a fan. I don’t think you can be that much of a diva unless you’ve had loads of massive tunes.

“In ten years, people are going to be struggling to remember anything Minaj has done except her verse on Monster.”

The-Dream(@MrTeriusNash) Appointed Def Jam VP of A&R

Today R & B thug The-Dream was named Vice President of A&R. Mr Nash spoke on his new position below:

“I am committed as I have been previously to bringing the power of belief in the artist back to the forefront. I share a unique view of an artist and as well as the business of music. I, with the help of many others, have ran a successful business for the last five years in the midst of the “Digital Change.”

My concentration and effort will be to the artist to succeed in their dreams and goals. I’ve been a part of watching and participating in the success of many great women and men including Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion to name a few. Music means more than just a download, it’s life to the culture and also the people who listen. This is a new exciting yet critical time for music – ‘You Meet Change with Change!’”
