Drake Scores An Andre 3000 Collab For Take Care

Now the pushback makes sense. Spotted on Soul Culture:

The highly-anticipated sophomore effort Take Care from Drake suffered a three-week push-back due to sample clearance issues. However, with the album totaling 14 tracks, with an additional two bonus songs, not many fans are upset about the new date of November 15th. Fans can continue to rejoice knowing that Drake has also secured a feature from the now-mystical Andre 3000.

News has arrived that in an interview with The Fader to be featured in their 76th Issue, Drizzy’s right-hand producer Noah “40″ Shebib revealed that Andre 3000 is featured on a song that he produced on Drake’s forthcoming project. After talking about wanting a Andre 3000 feature for so long after being turned down on his debut LP Thank Me Later, it looks like Drizzy Drake finally got his wish granted.

Diddy’s Credit Card Info Gets Jacked

Was looking for a Diddy pic, found this, laughed, decided to use it anyway.

From TMZ:

Diddy is on a mission to find the person who stole the numbers to his personal American Express Black Card and posted them on a web site this week … TMZ has learned.

Earlier this week, someone who clearly has a beef with Diddy, posted copies of the rap mogul’s super exclusive credit card on a website, along with his passport and private phone numbers.

The website where the info is posted seems to make a vague reference to the ridiculous rumors that Diddy is a member of the Illuminati … a secret society rumored to run the world.

Sources close to Diddy tell us … he is aware of the situation and has launched an internal investigation to find the person responsible.

A rep for Diddy had no comment.

Nas Celebrates 20 Years In Hip-Hop; Interviewed By Tyler, the Creator In XXL

Spotted on Karen Civil:
This is a special year for Nas, who has a few anniversaries to celebrate including the release of his first verse ever. The Queensbridge poet, who’s gearing up for the release of his 10th solo album, Life Is Good, helped to pioneer shock rap with his timeless breakout verse on 1991’s “Live at the Barbeque,” with lines like “When I was 12, I went to hell for snuffing Jesus.” With that in mind, XXL Magazine recruited a new controversial MC, Odd Future’s frontman Tyler, the Creator, who’s a longtime Nas fan, to interview the veteran MC for the November issue’s cover story.

Who would have guessed the two rappers would have hit it off so well. Throughout an in-dept interesting conversation that lasted over an hour-and-a-half, Nas and Tyler touched on a variety of topics including: music, religion, family, decision making, drugs, the Internet, and even Star Wars.

Rihanna Supports Chris Brown Success

It’s incredible to see how he pulled out of it the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he’s putting out. I’m a fan of his stuff. I’ve always been a fan. Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I’ve put that behind me. It was taking up too much of my time. It was too much anger. I’m really excited to see the breakthrough he’s had in his career. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.

Quote Of The Day: Dr. Dre Speaks On Working With Kendrick Lamar & Slim The Mobster

From Global Grind:

I am never going to give music up. Music is like air to me, [music] is like oxygen, so I am always doing that. As soon as I get back to Los Angeles, I am back in the studio doing my thing. I have a couple of new artists that I am excited about, Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster. These are the next two artists, and these are probably my final two artists that I am going to be working with at least for the next couple of years. I am going to devote all my attention to them and make sure their sh*t comes out the way it should be. I am just having fun with life right now.

Kanye West, Russell Simmons & More Join Occupy Wall Street Protesters

You can check out a couple of video clips (one of which features Talib Kweli) after the jump. From MTV:

With a group of protesters that has grown steadily in numbers, the Occupy Wall Street movement received a one-two celebrity punch Monday (October 10) in the form of supporters Kanye West and Russell Simmons.

The hip-hop heavyweights caused a stir when they visited the demonstrators’ “base camp” at Zuccotti Park, where Simmons appeared on Al Sharpton’s radio show to speak in support of the group’s efforts.

“People are here with an honest heart and honest intentions,” Simmons said, according to New York’s Daily News. “These young people are our future leaders.

“I’m happy to pay a little more taxes if it means better education for our children,” he added. “I don’t pay enough taxes, and I know it.”

Simmons and West are the latest celebs to jump onboard the Occupy Wall Street movement. When MTV News caught up with Talib Kweli last week, he spoke out about why he’s in full support of the protests.

“There’s no other place in New York City to be,” Kweli told us. “People are taking their destiny in their own hands. This is one of the most American, if not the most American, things that I’ve ever seen.

“When I see things like Occupy Wall Street, I just try to align myself with things that make sense,” he continued. “Shame on me if I know something and don’t spread it, you know? If I know, it becomes my responsibility to spread the information.”

Occupy Wall Street, which has also spread to cities like Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles, marked its 24th day of protest Monday.

Lupe Fiasco To Put Out A DJ Album; Speaks On His Favorite Hip-Hop Artists

Lupe Fiasco seems to be doing everything but make the kind of Hip-Hop that his core fans have asked for since the Lasers fiasco. A few quotes from The Examiner:

“Me and my partner Scott started a dj collective called Soundclash so we’re working on that album right now and hopefully we’ll have a single out by Halloween and will try and push an album out around that and tour and all that.

There’s a Lupe Fiasco mixtape that’s coming which hopefully we’ll have out before the end of the year and that will hopefully lead up to the next Lupe Fiasco album. And that’s really it, just more touring, touring, touring and music, music, music, music.”

“When it comes back to hip hop I still like Nas and Mos Def and even the newer guys like Kendrick Lamar and Kid Cudi who can definitely kind of catch my ear and keep my edge sharp I guess.”
