Chief Keef’s spokesman has revealed the enigmatic rapper’s motive behind naming his newborn child Sno Filmon Dot Com Cozart.
Owen Phillips, a spokesman for Chief Keef’s record label FilmOn who also handled publicity for the rapper’s failed hologram shows in July, told DNAinfo Chicago on Wednesday evening that the Chicago rapper named his newborn Sno “in order to promote” his upcoming new album, according to a statement attributed to Keef’s record boss Alki David.
The baby’s middle names reference Keef’s record label’s web address, Phillips said. He declined to provide explanation for the baby’s first name.
“Alki David has announced that Chief Keef and his newest baby mama have agreed to name the newborn Sno FilmOn Dot Com Cozart in order to promote the release of Sosa’s double album Bang 3 with FilmOn Music and MondoTunes on September 18,” Phillips said in an e-mail. He declined to comment further beyond the statement.statement.

Bryce Williams/Vester Flanagan said the Charleston Church shooting in June spurred his homicidal rage … which exploded this morning when he took the lives of a Virginia reporter and photographer.
ABC News in NYC says it received a 23-page fax from Williams this morning — almost 2 hours after he had killed Alison Parker and Adam Ward. In the document … he says he put a down payment on a gun on June 19, 2 days after the Charleston tragedy.
He wrote, “What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.” He also addresses the Charleston shooter directly, writing … “As for Dylann Roof? You want a race war (expletive)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE (expletive)!!!”
Williams also called out the Columbine and Virginia Tech shooters — “Also, I was influenced by Seung-Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold got…just sayin.”
The document also includes a “Suicide Note for Friends and Family” … where he says he suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and was attacked for being a gay, black man.

A disgruntled former news reporter who shot dead two of his ex-coworkers during a live TV segment this morning is in very critical condition after attempting to kill himself.
It was previously reported that Lester Lee Flanigan had died after shooting himself, but authorities are now saying that they have found him in Fauquier County, Virginia and he still has a pulse.
Viewers of WDBJ, a small CBS affiliate in Moneta, Virginia, watched in horror this morning as the employee shot dead 24-year-old reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, as the two were filming a light-hearted live segment just before 7am.
Flanigan fled the scene after the shooting and then took to Twitter to explain his reasons for killing his former coworkers, all while being pursued closely by police.
Flanigan, who is African American, wrote that Parker made ‘racist comments’ and that a complaint was filed against her through the equal employment opportunity commission, but his station chose to hire her anyway.
As for Ward, Flanigan says that after working with the cameraman once, Ward complained to HR about the former general assignment reporter. It’s unclear what exactly happened between the two men.
But the most shocking post of all was a video Flanigan took of the attack, which he shared on his Twitter.The chilling clip is taken from Flanigan’s point of view and shows him approaching the two journalists as they were interviewing Vicki Gardner, the local chamber of commerce.
He opens fire first on Ward and then turns to kill Parker. Parker and Ward died at the scene while Gardner was rushed to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery and is now in stable condition.
After posting the graphic video of the attack, Flanigan’s Twitter account was suspended.

Last night, Fetty Wap and his Remy Boys were in Stadium Nightclub and — much like Migos encountered — found themselves in a tight situation with some D.C. goons. Even with security, Wap seems to have come out of the eventual fight chain-less and hair-less:
Fetty’s security and his REMY BOYS bomies tried to fight off the DC THUGS .. . but they were outnumbered. As Fetty was trying to leave, we’re told that the THUGS ripped out his WEAVE (he has synthetic dreads) and they stole his chain.
Damn (if it’s in fact true). Regardless, Fetty Wap will probably bounce back, and D.C. will come out the loser in the long run (good luck — to actual Fetty Wap fans — being able to catch the artist out-and-about in the city moving forward).

A man was fatally shot on the grounds of a Catholic church in Southeast Washington on Tuesday afternoon, and hours later, gunfire in an apartment five miles away in Congress Heights killed a woman and wounded a child and a teenager, D.C. police said.
Those shootings and a third that also turned fatal came amid a surge of violence across the city that began in late spring and has touched every quadrant. The District has recorded 97 homicides this year, up about 30 percent from this time last year and nearing 2014’s total of 105.
Mayor Muriel E. Bowser arrived at the scene of the triple shooting on Savannah Street SE and with Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier expressed anger over what they called a proliferation of weapons saturating the city’s streets, some falling into the hands of children and teens.
“When people say what is driving this,” said Lanier, referring to the killings, “it is illegal firearms in the homes and hands of the wrong people, and when children have access to firearms, bad things happen.” On Monday, Lanier said that officers had seized 102 illegal guns in the past 30 days, which she termed a “staggering number.”
In addition, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Police Chief have added to their supposed reasons for the violence: “a rise in the use of synthetic drugs, an increase in guns, repeat violent offenders out of prison and on the streets, and petty disputes being settled with gunfire” as well as a shortage of officers and a growing “retirement bubble”.
Frustration is increasing throughout the city. In Northwest and Northeast, residents are calling for more meetings and more police.
