Update On Mister Cee Getting Arrested For Public Lewdness
In hindsight, perhaps I chose an ill-advised picture for this post.
2nd Update: Not really an update, just some commentary from The Breakfast Club earlier today (spotted on The Urban Daily, complete with mugshots):
Update: I’m not entirely sure if this is the real DJ Mister Cee or not, but it looks like he’s taken to Twitter…and he’s not taking this issue lightly. He has also responded on his show through the music, which you can listen to below. Props to Miss Info.
Funk Flex claimed this was false, too. From NY Daily News:
Mister Cee, a popular HOT 97 deejay and record producer, was busted for public lewdness after cops caught him in a car receiving oral sex from another man, authorities said Monday.
Cee, whose given name is Calvin Lebrun, 44, and a male companion, Lawrence Campbell, 20, were arrested at 3:55 a.m last Wednesday, according to court papers.

The pair were in a car parked at Watts and West Sts. and “the defendants’ behavior was open to public view,” the criminal complaint said.
Both men were charged with public lewdness and exposure of a person. They were released after their arraignment and are due back in court in June.
Cee first made a name for himself in the hip-hop world as Big Daddy Kane’s deejay. He later produced “Ready to Die,” Notorious B.I.G.’s first album.
On Hot 97, he hosts “Throwback at Noon,” a classic hits hour. He was on air today, and a station manager said the allegation against him is not true.
A police source said Cee was busted in lower Manhattan last Oct. 8 and Nov. 20, both times for loitering for the purpose of prostition.
He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after the October arrest. Charges in the November case appear to have been dropped.
Campbell has no previous arrests, according to a police source.
Beyonce To Drop An Album This June

Beyonce is reportedly set to release her new album in June.
News of the singer working on new material with Odd Future and Sleigh Bells has been reported in recent months, and now it seems that she’s hoping to pull it all together for a summer release.
Sony Music Australia chief Denis Handlin told the Daily Telegraph of the plan, adding that the singer was hoping to tour the album extensively.
“It was just amazing,” he said of the songs he’d heard on the record. “She came in and played us six tracks from the album. She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record… these songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she’s gone to another level.”
Beyonce is also set to headline the Glastonbury festival in June.
The new album will be her first since 2008’s ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’.

If you didn’t know, apparently her show in Atlanta last January sucked because she showed up 3 hours late and performed music so fast that no one even knew what she was playing. Welp, don’t fret because she’s coming back, as seen on her Twitter. I’m going to really need to make a show….the one chance I had, I lost on my own fault (had to leave the “DC” Rock The Bells early…..too much heat and too much alcohol. Smh.)
NBA To Investigate Jay-Z’s Contact With Kentucky Players
This sounds pretty ridiculous but I did forget that he was a Nets’ co-owner…from Nets Daily:
In the aftermath of Kentucky’s regional final win over North Carolina at the Prudential Center on Sunday, Nets minority owner Jay-Z was photographed in the UK locker room. The rapper presumably has a relationship with Kentucky (and former Net) coach John Calipari through William Wesley, aka “Worldwide Wes.”
Well, the problem is that NBA team personnel aren’t allowed to make contact with college players before they declare for the draft, and the Kentucky roster includes a pair of potential lottery picks. So Ken Berger reports that the NBA will look into the matter and cites a previous case where Celtics GM Danny Ainge sat with Kevin Durant’s mother at the Big 12 Tournament in 2007. Ainge was fined $30,000.
Wow: Lil’ B Inks Tour Deal With Live Nation

Long an irregular presence on the live stage — over the last year, the Internet star played two sold-out shows to ministers of the blogosphere in New York, but no headlining hometown sets — Lil B recently inked a deal with tour giant Live Nation for a string of shows around the East Coast and the Midwest. He also lined up a headlining show at Mezzanine here in San Francisco, set for April 21.

DJ Megatron Shot & Killed In Long Island
A Staten Island deejay and rising hip-hop star was shot to death while walking to a local bodega to buy a cigar early Sunday, police and a close friend said.
DJ Megatron was down the block from his Staten Island home when his killer approached about 2 a.m. and fired a single shot into his torso, cops said.
The 32-year-old regular on BET’s “106 & Park,” whose real name was Corey McGriff, died on the street – his eyes facing the sky and a baseball cap at his side.
“It is just earth-shattering,” his mom, Louvenia McGriff, 60, told the Daily News by phone from her Georgia home.
“Words can’t describe the way my husband and I feel right now. I just don’t know how we’re going to make it without him. He was our golden child.”
Detectives combed the crime scene for several hours but no witnesses came forward, and there was no arrests.
Nor did cops have a motive.

Rick Ross Arrested for Being Too Loud
according to (Shreveport, LA) police, he was busted last night for possession of marijuana. Cops say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from his hotel room and when police investigated, they spotted approximately a gram of it in plain view.
