Was Chris Brown Arrested?

Above is the interview surrounding the situation….I spotted this on AllHipHop:

Where are Chris Brown’s handlers? The boy reportedly dumbed out on Good Morning America just this morning after they asked him about Rihanna. You would think his people would have media trained him for this stuff. According to TMZ, Brown dumbed out after the interview, not during. He went into his dressing room screaming and broke a window. Security was eventually called and when they got there, he had torn his shirt off. He was supposed to do a performance for another ABC-owned entity, but he bounced. eportedly exploded in rage behind the scenes at ‘Good Morning America’ this morning. This could be an exaggeration, but they said on the way out, Chris got in the face of a producer like he was going to do something, but he left.

UPDATE: It looks like Chris Brown has been arrested for the outburst. Remember dude is on probation over the whole Rihanna thing…so this is a problem.

Nipsey Hussle Involved In Shooting

From Street Gangs (?):
This evening the two men got into physical altercation near the alley at the rear of the Shell gas station at Crenshaw and Slauson in Hyde Park. According to eye witnesses, Nipsey’s brother, Samiel Asghedom pulled out a gun to defend his brother and fired into the air to end the conflict. That’s when an LAPD officer arrived on the scene and fired at the brother, missing him.

What I wanna know is….what’s going on with the music?

Wyclef Shot In The Hand While In Haiti…

This is crazy…last night, Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand while in his native country of Haiti. The incident occurred in Delmas, Port-au-Prince as Jean was hit by armed gunmen while travelling in a vehicle that included occupants Busta Rhymes & Jimmy Rosemond around 11pm. While no one else was injured, Wyclef was taken to hospital and released shortly after being treated for a gun shot wound to his right hand. This happened just a day before the presidential election in Haiti. (AP)

Really? L.A. Reid Leaves Island Def Jam Records To Join X Factor

From MTV: L.A. Reid resigned from his post as chairman of Island Def Jam Records on Thursday (March 17) and will join Simon Cowell’s “X Factor” as one of the show’s judges, according to a statement from the label sent to the BBC.
A memo from Reid obtained by MTV News opens with a quote from Colin Powell: “Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate and doubt, to offer a solution everybody can understand.” Reid goes on to say, “After much consideration, I have decided to leave my position as Chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group. I have always thrived on growth and the next great challenge, and I look forward with much enthusiasm to what the future holds.
“I am extremely proud of our beautiful roster and all we have accomplished in my seven years with IDJ,” the note continues. “We continue to have incredible success together with today’s most phenomenal superstars — Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, The Killers, The-Dream, Chrisette Michele, Jeezy and Ludacris to name a few. I want to thank all of you for your amazing contributions.”
Reid joined Island Def Jam in 2004 after a successful 15-year run at LaFace and Arista records in the late ’80s through the early part of the millennium. He helped launch the careers of a wide array of superstars like Usher, Pink and Avril Lavigne, and is credited with revamping Mariah Carey’s career in 2005.
Reid’s contract with Universal Music Group was set to expire this December, and now that he has left the position early, he is free to take a position with Sony Music, the label that will provide the “X Factor” winner with a recording contract.
When reached by MTV News, a rep for “X Factor” had no comment on the judge choice.

Suge Knight Still Being Suge Knight

From TMZ:

Suge Knight got into a full contact FIST FIGHT with another man at a Las Vegas casino this weekend — unleashing the fury on a man half his size…

It all went down on the casino floor at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas early Saturday morning. Suge can be seen throwing haymaker after haymaker … but it doesn’t look like he landed a single punch.

According to an eyewitness … Suge flew off the handle when the little man approached him with a challenge … saying, “I can take you.”

Eventually, the whole thing was broken up — and cops were spotted at the hotel soon after. We’re told Suge was not arrested over the incident.

A rep for Aria tells us, “Due to guest privacy policies, I am unable to confirm information about guest activities in our hotel.”
