Yesterday, TDE’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith caught wind of Suge’s recent comments (he stated that The Game and Top Dawg’s own Kendrick Lamar has slave-style record deals, among other things) and said if Suge can provide proof of his claims, he’ll sell him the label for a buck.

BET can dress its hosts however the hell it wants — even if that means forcing a transgender person to dress like a man — and that’s why the judge threw out B. Scott’s discrimination lawsuit.
TMZ broke the story, Scott sued the network, claiming it humiliated him during the BET Awards last year by forcing him to change from women’s clothes into men’s clothes … and then yanking him off the show entirely.
But the judge in the case just ruled in the network’s favor, dismissing the lawsuit.
The judge ruled BET has the 1st Amendment right to run its shows the way it wants … and that includes ordering Scott to change from women’s to men’s clothes … and that’s that.
Scott tells TMZ, “It disheartens me that the message sent today wasn’t a message of acceptance, but rather it’s acceptable to discriminate against transgender individuals on the basis of their gender identity and expression.”
Scott’s attorney has said he plans to appeal the decision.

“Scandal” star Columbus Short has been thrown out of his house and his wife has filed for divorce … after he allegedly put a knife to her throat last week and threatened to kill her and himself.
According to a new restraining order — obtained by TMZ — Short got into it with his wife April 7 at their Chatsworth home, where she claims he came into her room intoxicated with a wine bottle in hand, acted like he was going to hit her with the bottle and then unloaded the wine on her.
Tanee Short claims Columbus then ran to the kitchen for a knife, pinned her to the couch and began choking her. She says he then demanded they play a game he called “Truth or Truth.” He allegedly said if she lied he would stab her in the leg.
She says he then started naming men he believed she was having affairs with. She denied them all but he allegedly then put the knife to her throat and threatened murder/suicide. As she tried escaping she says he slashed her tire.
The restraining order requires Columbus to move out of the house. We’ve learned cops were there today to ensure the peace as he moved out.
Tanee also filed for divorce Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for sole custody of their 2-year-old daughter.
In addition to the incident April 7th, Short has been charged with criminal domestic violence and child abuse for allegedly abusing Tanee while their child and his son were in the house. He pled not guilty. And he was arrested for yet another alleged domestic violence incident a few weeks earlier.
It’s interesting … just last month — after the first 2 domestic violence arrests — Columbus and his wife put on a united front at The Grove in L.A.

Jose Luis “Cheo” Feliciano, a giant of salsa music and Puerto Rican legend, died in a car crash early Thursday morning in San Juan, police said. He was 78.
Feliciano was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and made a name for himself in New York as a musician and singer for a number of groups.
Considered salsa royalty, Feliciano was awarded a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
The fatal car wreck happened at about 4:13 a.m. Thursday, Puerto Rico police said.
Feliciano lost control of the Jaguar he was driving land crashed into a light pole, police said. He died at the scene.
Police told CNN en Español that the singer was the only person inside the car. The speed he was traveling at was under investigation, police said.
His wife, Coco, told reporters that Feliciano did not like to wear a seat belt.
The singer was diagnosed with a treatable type of cancer last year, and he had undergone cancer treatments.
Puerto Rico’s governor declared three days of mourning for Feliciano, who was beloved for his hits such as “Anacaona” and “Amada Mia.”

Common (and Rhymefest, apparently) recently held a press conference to announce that his Common Ground Foundation has linked up with Kanye West’s Donda’s House to create 20,000 jobs for the youth in the city of Chicago. Statistics from the Chicago Urban League revealed that a whopping 92% of all Black male teens are currently unemployed. From Poppinlines:
Common is hopeful that The Chicago Youth Jobs Collaborative and its jobs will provide black youth with enough opportunity to detour them from a life of crime.
“Obviously, one of the biggest reasons our kids are going through what they’re going through is because of poverty. I was doing an event in the neighborhood and there were some kids from Englewood and I said, ‘Man, what do y’all really need? What’s gonna stop this?’ And they were like, ‘We need money. Man, if we could work.’ They want a chance,” said rapper Common.
And these won’t just be temporary jobs….
“It’s one thing to provide summer jobs for these kids, but we’re trying to provide year-round jobs,” said Andrea Zopp, CEO of the Chicago Urban League. “We’ve had hearings and the kids have told us that they need jobs year-round.”
The initiative will also launch a musical festival, the AAHH! FEST, that will act as a yearly fundraiser to raise money for the jobs and other programs. It will be held September 20-21 at 6300 S. Hayes Drive, behind the Museum of Science and Industry in Hyde Park. No word yet on the line-up for the festival but the organizers are hoping to pull a few big names from the Chi.

Drake cheated and lied on his latest album — shamelessly stealing a jazz musician’s lyrics and then lying on the album that he got permission — so claims the jazz musician’s people.
The song in question is “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2.” The song begins with a 35 second monologue from a 1982 song — “Jimmy Smith Rap” — recorded by jazz musician Jimmy Smith.
According to a new lawsuit — obtained by TMZ — Drake never got permission to use the clip. Even worse, represented in the liner notes that the clip was properly licensed.
Jimmy’s dead, but his Estate insists in the lawsuit NO permission was given nor did anyone ask for it.
The Estate is going after Drake, Cash Money Records and a bunch of others … gunning for more than $300K.
TMZ reached out to Drake for comment … so far, no word back.

HollywoodLife.com can tell you that they live together and French suddenly stopped speaking to her when he started hanging out with Khloe.
The rapper and reality star have been hanging out quite a bit in LA but we’ve learned from a source very close to French, that his longtime girl, Trina, is “devastated.”
“She feels like French is an opportunist,” the insider tells us. “He dropped Trina and went right on to Khloe, Trina stood by his side through everything and he just discarded her. They were living together, I mean come on. She has no clue what’s going on, she’s reading about it just like everyone else is.”

The rumors about legendary AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young being ill are true. But the rumors about AC/DC retiring from music are not.
On Wednesday, the band posted a statement on its website:
“After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support.
“In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family’s privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music.”
While the band would not reveal Young’s illness, their close friend, Choirboys frontman Mark Gable, told Australia’s ABC Radio that his condition is very serious.
“That is true, Malcolm is sick,” Gable told ABC radio Wednesday morning. “From what I understand, and it’s even been confirmed in part by his son Ross (Young), that it would appear Malcolm is unable to perform anymore.
“It’s not just that he is unwell, it’s that it is quite serious. It will constitute that he definitely won’t be able to perform live.
“He will probably not be able to record.”
A person who goes by the screen name Thunderstruck started the rumors via e-mail to Australian radio station 6PR. ”My information is that Malcolm Young has moved himself and his family back to Australia, he’s very very ill and that AC/DC may well be history,” Thunderstruck told 6PR on Tuesday morning. ”I have extremely good contacts in Europe that are very close to AC/DC. I have it on very good authority that one of the band members is quite ill and has returned to Australia with his family.”
Reports of Young’s illness sparked the retirement rumors because the band made a pact that they would not replace any of the members should one of them leave.
The 61-year-old co-founded the band along with brother Angus in 1973. He has played with them continuously except during the 1988 Blow Up Your Video World Tour, when he was recovering from alcoholism.

A rapper affiliated with Wu-Tang Clan was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday after he cut off his penis and then jumped off a second story balcony in what police believe is a suicide attempt … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
Our sources say … they were called to an apartment building in North Hollywood at around 1:00 AM and found Christ Bearer — aka Andre Johnson — on the sidewalk critically injured.
Christ Bearer is a member of the rap group Northstar … a group founded by members of Wu-Tang Clan. Two members of the group live in the same apartment building and tell TMZ they were there early this morning when Christ Bearer suddenly — without warning — cut off his penis and jumped off the balcony. They say they were not on “any hard drugs that would cause him to do such a thing.”
The two men say they rushed downstairs and Christ Bearer had already jumped up and began screaming incoherently.
Johnson was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. It’s unclear if doctor’s are attempting to reattach Johnson’s penis.
Johnson is a rapper who was in a group founded by members of Wu-Tang Clan.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Budweiser Made in America music festival is coming to Los Angeles, but who is performing and how the city will manage the two-day concert are still mysteries.
Jay Z and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti held a news conference Wednesday to announce the music festival, which is planned for Labor Day weekend and will be held simultaneously with one in Philadelphia. They did not announce the lineup of performers or address residents’ concerns about the venue — a park in downtown Los Angeles that is crossed by several streets and partially surrounded by residential buildings.
The Made in America festival could draw 50,000 concertgoers, Garcetti said.
Jay Z wants to create a festival that brings together diverse musical genres, where “all walks of life and all people can come, and it’s in the city and it’s not some far-off place that you can’t get to — no disrespect to any other festivals,” he said, taking an obvious dig at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in the desert more than two hours east of Los Angeles. Jay Z and wife Beyoncé each made surprise appearances at the event last weekend.
“Look how beautiful this park is,” he said. “It’s accessible to everyone.”
The Los Angeles City Council has expressed concern that such a crowd could be disruptive for downtown residents.
County Supervisor Gloria Molina attempted to allay those worries, saying, “We know how to handle all of this.”
“I’m sure every single LA resident is going to deal with a little bit of intrusion from time to time, because at the end of the day, LA is going to have tremendous benefit,” she said, citing the event’s anticipated economic infusion to the city and its philanthropic element (some proceeds will benefit the United Way of Greater Los Angeles).
Molina also quoted a lyric from a Jay Z song: “Los Angeles has 99 problems, but Jay Z and Made in America ain’t one.”
None of the politicians nor Jay Z took questions from the assembled press.
