Chief Keef And Migos Go To War On Twitter Over “Sneak Dissin'”

Apparently Migos have sneak dissed Chief Keef in a new song of theirs, and Sosa wasn’t happy about it, so not long after Chief Keef took to Twitter and blasted Soulja Boy with a fake phone number, Keef decided to call out Migos for the allege “sneak diss”.

Vlad TV Reports:

Taking to Twitter, Keef wrote “I Heard Migos sneak dissin No Talkin”, but not long after Keef’s tweet, Migos member, Offset, decided to respond (but then deleted) by saying “We’ll be in Chiraq next week pull up.”

The exchange continued between the camps when Keef laughs off Migos’ threat, writing “Lol “Pull Up” #CallMeSosaSanta” Keef’s tweets turn a bit more sinister with threats of violence. He goes on to mock a line from Migos’ song “Young Rich Ni**as” by writing “What they say money, power, Respect? Well b**ch It’s money, & power with the Tec!”

Keef continued his threats in the form of rhymes: “I got Some ni**as With a Bunch of Tools they Come thru Screwing shit Like moppers do!” and “Like don’t be Talkin when my choppa do Turn ya Block to Lil B b**ch Wounton soup!”

Keef later clowns and accuses the Migos of wearing fake jewelry: “Fake A** Jewels On all my dead Homies Tho!” he wrote. Migos issued a final statement saying they entertain money, not bullsh*t: “Migos don’t sneak diss and don’t entertain bullsh*t. We entertain money #YRN2 #QC,” they wrote.

Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports Star Signs $240M Deal

robinson-cano-jay-z

The Seattle Mariners have signed second baseman Robinson Cano to a $240 Million / 10 Year deal. This comes as a surprise as many believed he would stay a New York Yankee. This has possibly been one of the biggest moves Jay-Z has made as the head of his Roc Nation Sports agency.

ESPN Reports:

The Seattle Mariners have agreed to terms with Robinson Cano on a 10-year, $240 million contract, marking the most dramatic example to date of a franchise taking the $26 million per team per year in new national TV money and actually spending it. It’s a good deal for Cano and a potentially great one for the Mariners.

That new TV deal, announced 14 months ago, granted broadcast rights to Fox and TBS through 2021. Combine that with the league’s existing ESPN deal, and teams now stand to earn $12.4 billion over the lifetime of the contracts, more than doubling previous totals. Last winter and so far this winter, we hadn’t seen many teams that lack the big media-market power of L.A. or New York or Boston spending top dollar to land marquee players. The closest we’d come was Minnesota signing right-handed starters Ricky Nolasco and Phil Hughes in rapid succession to contracts worth a combined $73 million. This free-agent class, like last year’s, is short on superstars, but it still felt odd that the small- and medium-market clubs that had suddenly received a huge windfall of cash seemed content to stick the money under their mattresses, rather than spending it on good players who could help win games. Credit the Mariners for finally getting it.

In Cano, Seattle has reeled in one of the best players in the game by both traditional and analytical standards. Per Wins Above Replacement, only Miguel Cabrera has produced more value for his team than Cano has over the past four years. During that span, Cano has hit .312/.373/.533, which, even after adjusting for Yankee Stadium’s hitter-friendly confines, still produces a total offensive contribution 48 percent better than a league-average hitter. In addition to boasting prodigious power, Cano is also one of the best contact hitters in the league. And while he’ll never get mistaken for Ted Williams, he has posted the two highest unintentional walk rates of his career over the past two seasons, due in part to a combination of pitchers being more careful with him and some iffy Yankees lineups in 2013, but also to Cano improving his approach at the plate. He’s also one of the league’s best glovemen at second base, which should make the Mariners’ top two starters, Felix Hernandez (51.4 percent ground ball rate) and Hisashi Iwakuma (48.7 percent ground ball rate), very happy.

Of course, these are all things Cano has done in the past. When evaluating the merits of a deal for this many years (the contract will end just before his 41st birthday) and this much money, the question is what Cano will do in the future, and whether he’s being paid reasonable market value for those impending seasons.

The cost of a win on the open market is about $6 million right now, give or take a couple hundred thousand. Cano has been a little better than a six-win player over the past four seasons. Even if we peg him as a five-win player, an average salary of $24 million a year would seem a reasonable price for someone that valuable.

The calculation isn’t that simple, of course. Cano might be a five- or six-win player in 2014, but he almost certainly won’t be in 2019, let alone 2023. Then again, just as we have to bake in year-by-year regression as a player ages, we also have to account for year-by-year salary inflation. If we assume a fairly conservative inflation rate of 5 percent per year (which might be low, given the revenue boom in baseball and recent trends), we get … a deal that still looks like it’ll be pretty close to fair market value, assuming Cano continues to perform like a top-10 player for the next three or four years, with a reasonably gentle decline thereafter.

Cano has played in at least 159 games in each of the past seven seasons, making him the most durable middle infielder in the game, and one of the most durable players at any position. That’s a good start if a team is banking on a player to produce through his thirties and into his early forties, given that baseball players tend to peak by their late twenties. It’s also encouraging given that some studies suggest rapid declines for second basemen in their thirties. For example: ESPN Stats & Info looked at the 10 second basemen other than Cano who posted the top WAR from ages 27 to 30 since the start of the Divisional Era in 1961. Since that time frame lines up with Cano’s last four seasons, the intent was to see how the group (Chase Utley, Joe Morgan, Rod Carew, Chuck Knoblauch, Craig Biggio, Bobby Grich, Ryne Sandberg, Lou Whitaker, Dick McAuliffe, and Brian Roberts) fared in their age 31-to-34 seasons. The results?

Is There Beef Between A$AP Mob & Pro Era?

I had no idea until I saw this, but apparently, A$AP Mob’s Nast was accused of biting Pro Era’s style following the release of his Method Man-assisted visual ‘Trillmatic‘. The original story that we spotted in AllHipHop’s Community Section is below (you might want to read that first); above, A$AP Mob addressed the so-called rift with Hot 97.

Last night (Dec. 4th) A$AP Mob member A$AP Nast dropped his new song “Trillmatic” featuring the legendary Wu-Tang member, Method Man. The song and video has been well received, but not everyone is feeling it all the way. Various members of Brooklyn’s Pro Era crew took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the song and the whole A$AP movement, in general. First, A La $ole took to Twitter and he had to say this: “Love to see more rappers bite the pro era swank. Good shit Nast. Smh lol whats new with these “New York” negus?”

La $ole quickly followed up his first tweet with some more harsh words for the fellow New York crew: “I got love for new york rappers but word is bond them asap negus is WACK. #Straightfacts. There are rappers then there are mc’s. You choose.”

Pro Era member Kirk Knight also had a mysterious subtweet at around the same time which could be pointing towards the same opinion: “Bravo bravo I’m so impressed.” Soon Pro Era rapper Rokamouth also weighed in and accused Nast of style jacking: “i don’t like that a.s.a.p. style jacking shit”

This did not sit well with Nast, who fired back, saying: “@rokamouth1 style jacking who my nigguh. 1990 born up you got us fucked up my g need to talk whatchu know” Nast then tweeted his thoughts on the Pro Era crew: “I GOTTA SHOW DEZ LIL NIGGUHS HOW TO REP THE 90’s FOR REAL”

Things got more tense when Rokamouth took shots at A$AP Mob’s stomping ground, Harlem: “You gotta come to Flatbush to get the real fronto not Harlem”

Read all of the tweets during this Pro Era/A$AP Mob exchange above and let us know where you stand on this. Are you Team Pro Era or Team A$AP Mob? And should the two young NYC crews beef after what Trinidad James said about NY?

Teen Duped Into Playing £450….For A PHOTO Of An XBox One On Ebay

From the Nottingham Post:

A TEENAGER has been left fuming after mistakenly buying a photo of an in-demand computer console online.

Peter Clatworthy thought he had paid £450 for an XBox One console on eBay, but actually received a picture of one in the post.

The 19-year-old student, of Bilborough, had saved up in order to buy a limited edition Day One version of the console as a surprise Christmas present for his four-year-old son, McKenzie.

He has now contested the purchase with eBay, which has investigated and stated he should get a full refund from the seller.

Mr Clatworthy said: “I’ve had to make a joke out of it because I was that angry. At least we’ve now got something to laugh about in the years to come.

“I always buy stuff on eBay and this had never happened before.”

Mr Clatworthy made the purchase on November 28, paying £450 plus £8 packaging.

Despite the listing stating it was a photo of an XBox One Day One edition console, Mr Clatworthy said he’d expected to receive the console as it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay.

He said: “It said ‘photo’ and I was in two minds, but I looked at the description and the fact it was in the right category made me think it was genuine.

“I looked at the seller’s feedback and there was nothing negative. I bought it there and then because I thought it was a good deal.

“It’s obvious now I’ve been conned out of my money.”

Mr Clatworthy received the photo in the post on Monday, saying: “They’d written on the back of it ‘thank you for your purchase’. I was fuming.”

The XBox One was released in the UK on November 22, with a special Day One edition reserved for those who picked the machine up on its first day of sale.

Since then, there have been reports of people buying empty XBox One packaging via eBay, and paying hundreds of pounds for the privilege.

When the Post searched for ‘XBox One Day One edition consoles’ on the website yesterday, a number of genuine consoles were up for sale.

There was, however, one lot of ‘XBox One Day One edition retail packaging’ which received 80 bids and sold for £7,200.

Mr Clatworthy was informed by eBay yesterday that, as he paid via PayPal, he can expect to receive a full refund from the seller, who has until Monday to pay up.

Billionaire Heiress Will Face No Jail Time For Vehicle-Related Death

Jacqueline Mars, heiress of the candy Company Mars Inc. and one of the world’s richest women will not serve any jail time for an accident where she fell asleep behind the wheel and resulted in the death of an 86-year-old woman.

NBC News Reported:

One of the world’s richest women will not serve any jail time for an accident authorities say resulted in the death of an 86-year-old woman.

Jacqueline Mars, a co-owner of the privately held candy company Mars Inc., entered the courtroom Thursday using a walker and pleaded guilty to the reckless driving charge she faced. The judge could have sentenced Mars to a year in jail for the misdemeanor charge, but three of Irene Ellisor’s family members read statements in court, forgiving Mars for the October accident and asked that she not be jailed.

The judge followed their request but ordered Mars to pay a $2,500 fine and suspended her license for six months.

“…[I]t’s important for this court and the families to know that I will always live with the grief and the loss caused by this tragedy,” Mars said in court Thursday.

Ellisor’s family embraced Mars in a private room after the judge followed their recommendation, News4’s Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey reported.

Court papers state that Mars told a witness she fell asleep at the wheel just before the crash in Aldie, Va. The sheriff’s office says Mars’ Porsche SUV crossed the center line and hit a minivan carrying Ellisor of Huntsville, Texas, who died at the scene.

Ashley Blakeslee, who was 8-months pregnant at the time, was critically injured and lost her baby. The other four passengers in the minivan, along with Mars, were also hospitalized. Doctors told Blakeslee her unborn son, who the family named Charlie, protected her and was the reason she did not die.

The Blakeslees call Charlie their hero.

Ellisor’s family told News4 the group was in Virginia from Texas for Ashley Blakeslee’s brother’s wedding.

Fewer than 600 feet from the scene, her husband, Travis Blakeslee; father, Arnold Acker; and other family members heard the crash from outside an inn where the rehearsal was scheduled to begin. They ran to the scene and witnessed the emergency response.

Mars traveled to Texas Monday for a visit with the family Tuesday.

“I have been down to see Ashley Blakeslee and her husband and tried to begin to express my sorrow and my regret and my empathy with them,” she said.

Acker told the court he did not support jail time for Mars.

Forbes Magazine ranks Mars as the world’s seventh-richest woman. She tied for 15th place in the magazine’s 2013 ranking of richest people in America with a net worth of $20.5 billion.

That was up five spots from her 2011 ranking, when her net worth was listed at $13.8 billion and she was believed to be the richest person living in the greater D.C. area.

Mars’ father invented M&M’s and the Mars bar.

Nelson Mandela Dies at 95

Former South African President Nelson Mandela passed away today at age 95. The former president had been battling health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.

Check out a Tribute to President Mandela!!!

CNN Reports:

Nelson Mandela, the revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid, has died, South African President Jacob Zuma announced late Thursday. He was 95.

The former president battled health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.

With advancing age and bouts of illness, Mandela retreated to a quiet life at his boyhood home in the nation’s Eastern Cape Province, where he said he was most at peace.

Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the nation’s consciousness.

In a nation healing from the scars of apartheid, Mandela became a moral compass.

His defiance of white minority rule and incarceration for fighting against segregation focused the world’s attention on apartheid, the legalized racial segregation enforced by the South African government until 1994.

In his lifetime, he was a man of complexities. He went from a militant freedom fighter, to a prisoner, to a unifying figure, to an elder statesman.

Years after his 1999 retirement from the presidency, Mandela was considered the ideal head of state. He became a yardstick for African leaders, who consistently fell short when measured against him.

Warm, lanky and charismatic in his silk, earth-toned dashikis, he was quick to admit to his shortcomings, endearing him further in a culture in which leaders rarely do.

His steely gaze disarmed opponents. So did his flashy smile.

Former South African President F.W. de Klerk, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with Mandela in 1993 for transitioning the nation from a system of racial segregation, described their first meeting.

“I had read, of course, everything I could read about him beforehand. I was well-briefed,” he said last year.

“I was impressed, however, by how tall he was. By the ramrod straightness of his stature, and realized that this is a very special man. He had an aura around him. He’s truly a very dignified and a very admirable person.”

For many South Africans, he was simply Madiba, his traditional clan name. Others affectionately called him Tata, the Xhosa word for father.

Mandela last appeared in public during the 2010 World Cup hosted by South Africa. His absences from the limelight and frequent hospitalizations left the nation on edge, prompting Zuma to reassure citizens every time he fell sick.

“Mandela is woven into the fabric of the country and the world,” said Ayo Johnson, director of Viewpoint Africa, which sells content about the continent to media outlets.

When he was around, South Africans had faith that their leaders would live up to the nation’s ideals, according to Johnson.

“He was a father figure, elder statesman and global ambassador,” Johnson said. “He was the guarantee, almost like an insurance policy, that South Africa’s young democracy and its leaders will pursue the nation’s best interests.”

There are telling nuggets of Mandela’s character in the many autobiographies about him.

An unmovable stubbornness. A quick, easy smile. An even quicker frown when accosted with a discussion he wanted no part of.

Despite chronic political violence in the years preceding the vote that put him in office in 1994, South Africa avoided a full-fledged civil war in its transition from apartheid to multiparty democracy. The peace was due in large part to the leadership and vision of Mandela and de Klerk.

“We were expected by the world to self-destruct in the bloodiest civil war along racial grounds,” Mandela said during a 2004 celebration to mark a decade of democracy in South Africa.

“Not only did we avert such racial conflagration, we created amongst ourselves one of the most exemplary and progressive nonracial and nonsexist democratic orders in the contemporary world.”

Mandela represented a new breed of African liberation leaders, breaking from others of his era such as Robert Mugabe by serving one term.

In neighboring Zimbabwe, Mugabe has been president since 1987. A lot of African leaders overstayed their welcomes and remained in office for years, sometimes decades, making Mandela an anomaly.

But he was not always popular in world capitals.

Until 2008, the United States had placed him and other members of the African National Congress on its terror list because of their militant fight against the apartheid regime.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston Will Not Be Charged For Rape

Today Prosecutors announced that Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, will not be charged for allegedly raping a female Florida State University student.

CNN Reports:

Almost a year after a Florida State University student first accused quarterback Jameis Winston of rape, the state attorney for Lee County, Florida, was set Thursday to make an announcement involving the investigation.
Lee County State Attorney Willie Meggs gave no indication of what his announcement would be. Winston’s attorney, Tim Jansen, said he also did not know what would happen.
The woman said Winston, quarterback of the Florida Seminoles football team, raped her in December. According to police documents, the woman told investigators she was drinking with friends at a bar called Potbellys. They later left her after consuming several shots, according to the documents.
She said she does not remember much of what happened next, but told investigators she remembered winding up in a ground-floor apartment where a man took off her clothes and had sex with her despite her objections.
The woman came forward a month later to accuse Winston, but Tallahassee’s interim police Chief, Tom Coe, said last week that she “broke off contact” with investigators in February and at the time no longer wanted to go forward with the case.
The woman’s family has said that a detective had warned her attorney that Tallahassee is a “big football town” and that her life could be miserable if she pursued the case.
The case resurfaced after media outlets made public records requests for the initial complaint.
Last month, Winston’s attorney announced his client and the woman had consensual sex. The woman’s family shot back saying, “To be clear, the victim did not consent. This was rape.”

U.S. Citizen Killed In Libya, State Department Official Says

libya2

(CNN) reports: — A U.S. citizen has been shot and killed in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, a U.S. State Department official confirmed to CNN Thursday.

The official did not identify the slain citizen. The news came after other reports that gunmen killed an American chemistry teacher working at an international school in the city of Benghazi.

Reuters reported the teacher was slain Thursday, citing medical and security sources.

“He was doing his morning exercise when gunmen just shot him. I don’t know why. He was so sweet with everyone,” Adel al Mansouri, the director at the school in Benghazi, told Reuters.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the killing, Reuters said. CNN is working to get details on the incident.

The U.S. State Department official told CNN that “we offer our condolences to the victim’s loved ones.”

“We are in contact with the family and are providing all appropriate consular assistance,” the official said. “Out of respect for the privacy of those affected, we have no further comment.”

Benghazi, Libya’s second-largest city, is where militants attacked a U.S. diplomatic mission in September 2012, killing four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

More than two years after the fall of Moammar Gadhafi’s regime, the Libyan government has been struggling to control the country, which is awash in weapons and armed groups. The security situation has deteriorated over the past year, especially in Benghazi, which was the cradle of the 2011 revolution.

The United States blames one of the armed groups, Islamist militant group Ansar al-Sharia, for the deadly attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

10 Things Rich People Do That Poor People Don’t

rich people

News.com.au Reports:

ARE rich people just good with money or is there something a little deeper underpinning their success?

Most people would agree that certain lifestyle choices and daily habits are as valuable in the quest for wealth as a sound understanding of finances.

On the flipside, there’s a bunch of stuff you should never, ever do if financial security is one of your main goals.

Two American wealth gurus have combined these two ideas into an excellent list this week.

What happened was, wealth guru Tom Corley wrote a list of 10 rich habits that will make you rich, followed by 18 poverty habits that are keeping you poor. You can read it here.

Then along came another wealth guru, Dave Ramsey, who helpfully condensed Corley’s ideas into a 20-point list of his own. You can read that list here.

For your sake, we’ve boiled this thing down even further. Here are 10 things which rich people do and poor people don’t. And as we’ve already said, these things have nothing to do with money.

1. EAT RIGHT

Corley undertook his own research on the habits of rich people and poor people – by interviewing real people – and he found that 70 per cent of wealthy people eat less than 300 junk food calories each day. By contrast, 97 per cent of poor people eat more than 300 junk food calories per day.

2. KEEP YOUR CARDS CLOSE TO YOUR CHEST

Only fools disclose what's really on t...

Only fools disclose what’s really on their mind.

Are you the sort of person who blurts out every thought on their mind? Stop it. It’s not making you seem bold or cool or visionary or anything, but is in fact labelling you as dangerous, potentially treasonous and definitely not the sort of person who will ear promotions. Corley found that 11.6 per cent of wealthy people say what’s on their mind, compared to a whopping 69 per cent of poor people.

3. SET GOALS

Eighty per cent of wealthy people are focused on accomplishing some single goal, compared to just 12 per cent of poor people. And wealthy people are four times as likely to write down their goals as poor people. Corley has some great stuff on his blog about the difference between a wish and a goal.

4. KEEP FIT

Well, you know what they say about healthy body, healthy mind. According to our American friends, 76 per cent of wealthy people exercise aerobically at least four days a week. Only 23 per cent of poor people do this.

5. BE ORGANISED

It’s almost too simple to be true, but 81 per cent of wealthy people keep a to-do list. Just 19 per cent of poor people do this. Want a good tip? Try an old-fashioned bit of paper. Crossing stuff off with a pen just feels good.

6. READ

Interestingly, the authors also found that wealthy people tend to read to their kids way more than people do.

Interestingly, the authors also found that wealthy people tend to read to their kids way more than people do.

A massive 88 per cent of wealthy people read material which relates to their education or career for at least 30 minutes each day, while just 2 per cent of poor people do likewise. Want to swim in an Olympic Pool of $100 bills? Then stop playing Angry Birds and pick up a book.

7. RING GRANDMA

Corley found that 80 of rich people make Happy Birthday calls compared to just 11 per cent of poor people. And while we’re not suggesting that ringing Grandma will MAKE you rich, this stat does speak to the old adage: “if you want something done, give it to a busy person”.

8. DON’T WATCH BIG BROTHER

We all know that watching reality TV will turn your brain to eggplant or possibly mashed zucchini. Either way, you are indulging in the number one activity which keeps nobodies from becoming somebodies. Corley found that 67 per cent of wealthy people watch an hour or less of TV each day – and that just 6 per cent watch reality TV. Yes, just 6 per cent, compared to 78 per cent of poor people.

9. DON’T PUNT

Only 23 per cent of wealthy people gamble, compared to 52 per cent of poor people. Bear in mind these stats pertain to Americans, so the number of gamblers is likely significantly higher here in Australia.

10. RUN YOUR OWN RACE

It might not hurt to run to the side of the road a little, both literally and figuratively.

It might not hurt to run to the side of the road a little, both literally and figuratively.

The advice to run your own race isn’t contained anywhere in the material published by the American wealth guys this week. But the irony of lists like these is that you’ll never get anywhere in life if you follow everything word for word. Take the bits that apply to you, but remember to be a little flexible and do things your way.

… AND ONE LAST THOUGHT

The author of this piece is firmly of the belief that a lot of poor people are simply too busy or disadvantaged one way or another to change their situation. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to pick themselves up.

That said, there’s a great comment on Dave Ramsey’s blog which offers hope to all. Writes “Poornomore”:

“I was born poor, raised in poverty and watched my parents die that way. I worked hard, eliminated my bad habits, started doing what the wealthy did. Mostly I stopped blaming others for my lack of wealth. Now I am wealthy, and help others who want to be helped.”

Reality TV Star Dominique Scott From TLC’s “The Sisterhood” Accused Of Forgery

Domscott1

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, pastor turned reality TV star Dominique Scott was arrested for grand larceny. Scott is charged with first-degree forgery and three counts of giving false statements.

Prosecutors said Scott submitted false documents that inflated the value of assets and liabilities of a tutoring company that only existed on paper. Scott reportedly attempted to qualify for funding through the Federal Supplemental Education Services tutoring program.

From the AJC.com:

Scott sent to the state Department of Education a false balance sheet, a false statement of net income, a program summary showing a false start date for her company and a forged letter from a fictitious bank representing a non-existent cash line of credit, prosecutors said.

Scott’s company was hired to tutor students in DeKalb, Clayton, Bibb, Richmond and Muscogee counties as a result of the fraudulent documents, prosecutors said.

The federal program eventually dropped Scott’s company, prosecutors said.

If convicted, she faces up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $400,000.

Georgia Men Just Don’t Size-Up In Condom Study

Sandra Rose reports:

Men love to brag on the size of their members and their sexual prowess, but have you ever wondered how Georgia men measured up to peen sizes in other states?

Time magazine published a non-scientific study that analyzed the purchases of larger sized condoms state-by-state.

The study was done by Condomania.com, which claims to be America’s first online condom store.

Surprisingly, North Dakota sits atop the list as the state with the bragging rights to the biggest peen sizes among its male populace.

Equally as surprising is the fact that Georgia didn’t make the cut out of the 50 states listed. What does that say about Georgia’s men?

Well, let’s begin with the statistics: The Center for Disease Control ranks Georgia among the states with the highest rates of STD infections, including Herpes, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and HIV.

What that means is the majority of Georgia’s men don’t strap up before engaging in risky sexual behaviors. I guess we can say that Georgia lives up to its name as the “Dirty South”?

Perez Hilton Announces New Reality TV Show ‘Gay Dads Of New York’

perezhilton2

Entertainment media personality Perez Hilton is creating a new reality TV show ‘Gay Dads of New York’ in which he will be documenting his life as a father. Perez son Mario Armando Lavandeira III was born this past February and he is as cute as a button. The show will follow Hilton and a group of other gay single and married men as they provide support for each other through the joys and not so pleasant times of raising their children without women. The show is in the casting process now and has yet to be picked up by a network but I hope it does because I am very interested to see.

The Hollywood Reporter, quotes Hilton:

“What is your typical American family like? These days, it looks a lot like mine!,” says Hilton. “I am honored and excited to bring to television a show that will be filled with love, humor and drama. What will it not be? Trashy or boring!”

Hilton adds: “Up until now people know me more for my opinions than who I am. This show will give viewers the opportunity to get to know the ‘real’ Perez Hilton and my family, as well as some other really dynamic gay dads, and the women that make up their support system. I am a recent transplant to New York City, looking for friends and open to — hopefully — love. To new beginnings and this exciting new venture!”

D.C. Officer Investigated for Alleged Inappropriate Misconduct With Teen

A veteran of the D.C. Police Department is under investigation for possible inappropriate conduct with a teen after a missing girl was found inside his home.

NBC News Reports:

The officer was found inside his Southeast D.C. apartment with a girl who appeared to be 15 or 16 years old Tuesday evening. Police executed a search warrant on the home Wednesday, and seized several cell phones, marijuana and a laptop computer.

Multiple sources told News4’s Shomari Stone the officer is being investigated for alleged inappropriate conduct with a teen girl.

Neighbors said they would often see a young girl going in and out of his apartment.

“By him being the age he is, the woman that he brought in there look a little young,” one neighbor told News4.

The officer is on leave pending the results of the investigation. As of late Wednesday evening, no charges have been filed.

The incident comes one day after D.C. Police officer Marc Washington was arrested and charged with production of child pornography while on duty.

JAY Z Is Celebrating His 44th Birthday By Becoming A Vegan With Beyoncé

From the L.A. Times:

Jay Z and Beyonce are giving themselves the gift of health for the rapper’s birthday. The musical power couple are challenging themselves to a 22-day vegan diet.

The “Magna Carter Holy Grail” rapper, who turned 44 on Wednesday, made the announcement on his Life + Times blog Tuesday, letting fans know that he and his wife are undergoing a major lifestyle change in an effort to become more spiritual.

“Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way,” he wrote.

“On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ every day. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought … ”

Is that good friend Gwyneth Paltrow, perchance? We’re not sure. No matter, Forbes’ top-earning couple is wealthy enough to figure out a way to make the diet extra-delicious. Some of the diet’s health benefits include increased metabolism, cancer prevention, lower cholesterol, decreased blood pressure and reduced risk of diabetes, asthma attacks and heart disease, according to the 22 Days nutrition website.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper also seems to believe that the change is rooted in the mysticism of numbers. So why now?

There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day … It just feels right!” he said.

You’ll recall, he and Beyonce also talked a big game about numbers when they got married on April 4, 2008. Both singers’ birthdays land on the fourth of their respective birth months and, oddly enough, 4 + 4 = 8.

Jay Z said to call it “a spiritual and physical cleanse.” He added that he will post his progress on his blog and elicited advice from fans for recommendations on “great food spots” and to “please help out! Please ha.”

As for what happens after Dec. 25, he isn’t sure.

“I don’t know what happens after Christmas,” he wrote. “A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We’ll see … ”
But he did end the post on this note: “P.S. B is also joining me.”

Indeed, B, 32, who is currently touring the world with “The Mrs. Carter Show,” shared an Instagram photo collage of her meals on Wednesday, simply captioning the fare “#22dayveganchallenge.”
The menu for the diet’s first day included vanilla chia pudding with 1 cup fresh berries for breakfast; crunchy red cabbage and green apple sesame slaw with 1 cup steamed, cubed sweet potato (or 1 small sweet potato, baked) for lunch, 1/4 cup hemp hummus with fresh vegetables (carrots, celery, romaine leaves, bell pepper, etc.) for an afternoon snack; black bean and quinoa salad with quick cumin dressing for dinner and dark chocolate for dessert.

So now, we can’t wait to hear Hova’s lyrical take on hemp and seitan instead of Champagne and caviar.
