50 Cent Speaks On Drake/JAY Z ‘Beef’

This was during his appearance as guest host on a Washington, D.C. radio station (The Russ Parr Morning Show). It was mostly jokes as far as his response, aside from the fact that he only sees this as the beginning (I doubt their respective ladies — Beyoncé and Rihanna — will be jumping into the fray….but it would be hilarious).

50 Cent Speaks On Leaving “Beats Records” (Interscope)

From MTV, where you can read more on the story:

50 sat down with MTV News on March 17 at Eminem’s Shade 45 radio station, the same night he taped a SIRIUS XM Town Hall special with fans which will air on the station on March 31. Fif opened up about his issues with music executive Steve Stoute and the current state of his G-Unit rap group. Then, of course, there was his split from Interscope.

“Not that there wasn’t a whole lot of support, but just an actual fear factor created from the aura of respect that Jimmy[Iovine] has within the Interscope system,” Fif began to explain. “When you see Interscope turn into Beats Records, where everyone that you see is actually marketing Beats headphones — you don’t even see a music video without Beats headphones in it.”

The push to market Beats headphones may have been particularly off-putting for 50, who not only doesn’t have any stake in Beats, but actually owns a competing outfit. In 2011, three years after Beats was launched by Dr. Dre and Interscope chairman Iovine, the G-Unit general acquired a majority share in KonAudio and rebranded it as SMS Audio, which specializes in headphones, but also sells other electronics and accessories.

“So, when the only task from the actual video department is to make sure that I don’t put my headsets in the actual video — and then when we do see a rough cut, I see SMS Audio that I had on my hat is blurred out of the music video,” he said.

Last week, he confirmed to Forbes that the video in question was “My Life,” his collaboration with Eminem and Adam Levine, which was released in November 2012.

In the end, Fif may have won the battle, as the SMS logo on his hat is visible in the final cut, but the war took its toll.

“I’ve never had a record company at any point… decide to alter the artist’s clothing,” he said.

50 Cent Has One Artist Left On His List To “Get Rid Of”

And I’m sure that we can all guess who that artist might be….from Complex:

Earlier this week, Complex News had the opportunity to sit down with 50 Cent in the leadup to the forthcoming release of his first album in almost five years, Animal Ambition. And 50—who has a way with a good quote—didn’t dissapoint. He talked to Complex about what it’s like to destroy another artist, and how former adversaries Jadakiss and Styles P ended up on the new record.

Which also ended up with 50 recalling the old Jay Z vs. Nas beef. And telling us that there’s still someone out there he has yet to “get rid of.” Check the video above, and keep it tuned to Complex News for the final piece in our three-part interview with 50 Cent.

Jimmy Henchman’s Son Responds To 50 Cent Diss

50 Cent recently released a new track, ‘Hold On’, from his upcoming album Animal Ambition…in the track, the below line was said:

On the phone I heard ‘Ya smacked the shit outta a kid…Now Jimmy got life/Gonna smack him again.”

That line referred to an incident when G-Unit affiliates (which originally included Tony Yayo) slapped Henchman’s son back in 2007 (by the way, the guy who actually did the smacking was murdered).

James Rosemond, Jr. has since responded to the line through AllHipHop:

“First and foremost, when is it cool for four grown men in their 30′s to surround and hit a 14 year-old middle school kid? The incident in 2007 was a bad situation I didn’t deserve, and seven years later it’s now being made fun of in a record? What real gangster condones grown men assaulting a minor or a young man who has no involvement in the beef? Plus, these guys have kids of their own, and they should know better!”

“Secondly, who gets credit for trying to diss a man who is currently down and in no position to defend himself at this moment? It’s so easy to try to kick a man when he is down. What “real” street person applauds when a person is fighting against the same corrupt and prejudice system that has incarcerated a lot of black men? I guess that’s how some “gangster rappers” build their credibility… At the end of the day we are not catering to any negativity on our side and we have much bigger things to put our energy into.”

Rick Ross Responds To 50 Cent Diss….By Not Responding At All

rick-ross-statement-rape-lyrics

From TMZ:

50 Cent may have been hoping to start a blood feud when he publicly insinuated Rick Ross and Diddy were gay lovers … but sources close to Ross tell us there will be NO reprisals.

Sources tell us Ross won’t retaliate for one simple reason — he doesn’t give a crap about 50 Cent or anything he says — he thinks 50 is IRRELEVANT.

We’re told Rick plans to let it slide … he wants to focus on making hit records … and not on a childish beef with an old enemy.

50 Cent Throws Up Suspect Pictures Of Rick Ross, Diddy & Steve Stoute

50

From TMZ:

50 Cent raised the stakes in his beef with 3 rap heavyweights — publicly insinuating Diddy, Rick Ross and former record exec Steve Stoute are gay together … but he backed down minutes later.

The shots were fired Sunday — Fiddy posted the 2 pics on Instagram, one showing a pink-shirted Stoute embracing a pink-shirted Diddy. The other shows Diddy and Rick Ross from an angle that makes it look like they’re kissing.

Underneath, 50 wrote the caption, “I ain’t saying nothing, but something ain’t right. Lmao.” He yanked the pics down a short time later.

The photos were the latest in 50’s ongoing feuds with the rap titans — Stoute recently appeared in a VH1 documentary about hip hop, in which he called 50 a has-been. 50’s been feuding with Rick Ross and Diddy for years.

As for why he pulled the post … 50 probably thought twice about starting a nuclear war.
