Chris Brown Released From Jail

chris-brown-court

Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputy Tony Moore told The Associated Press that Chris Brown was released at 12:01 a.m. on Monday morning where he had been in custody since March. He was arrested after being kicked out from a court-ordered rehab sentence for violating their rules. Last month, he was ordered to remain in jail after violating his probation by getting into an altercation outside a hotel during Howard Homecoming in D.C last year. At the beginning of May, Chris Brown was ordered to spend additional 131 days in jail, but he received good behavior and time served for the time he spent in rehab and jail.

Chris Brown Admits Probation Violation, Gets 131 More Days In Prison

UPDATE: Chris Brown’s attorney wants you to know that, while admitting a probation violation, Brown did not confess to the alleged assault in D.C.

****************************************

Spotted on the New York Daily News:

Chris Brown has admitted he violated his probation, and has been sentenced to serve an additional 131 days in jail.

The R&B singer appeared in a Los Angeles court Friday and admitted that he committed a crime in Washington, D.C., last year. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced Brown to serve 365 days in custody, but gave him credit for 234 days he has spent in rehab and jail.

The Grammy winner has been in custody since mid-March, when he was arrested after being dismissed from a court-ordered rehab sentence.

The singer faces a misdemeanor assault charge in Washington after a man accused the singer of hitting him outside a hotel in the nation’s capital.

It is unclear how many days in custody Brown will actually serve.

Brown has been under court supervision after pleading guilty in 2009 to beating pop singer Rihanna, his then-girlfriend.

Chris Brown’s Bodyguard Found Guilty Of Assault

chrisbrown

TMZ reports:

Chris Brown’s bodyguard was found guilty this morning of misdemeanor assault … setting the stage for Brown’s trial later today.

Christopher Hollosy had told police he punched the victim after he allegedly tried to get onto Brown’s tour bus … but the victim said that was never the case.

Brown’s case will be heard later today in D.C. and the stakes are HUGE. If Brown is found guilty of misdemeanor assault (he denies punching the man) the judge in the Rihanna beating case could revoke his probation and sentence Brown to up to four years in jail.

PICS: Chris Brown’s D.C. Arrest Mug Shots

I don’t think a major artist has ever been dragged in from of the American consumer as such an example….with that said, perhaps this will put him in a better mindset to avoid his current troubles in the future. Spotted on WUSA 9:

Chris Brown will be headed to trial soon in a Washington, DC assault charge, and WUSA9 has the mug shots from his recent arrest.

USA Today’s Arienne Thompson says Chris Brown looks like a criminal in the photos, and it’s unfortunate, because he’s an A-List celebrity.

Chris Brown Transferred To Warsaw, VA Jail (DETAILS)

Chris-Brown-in-court1

From TMZ:

Chris Brown just checked into the “Four Seasons” of jails … and good news/bad news — he gets to shower as much as he wants!

Chris arrived in Washington, D.C. after a 5-day trek from California courtesy of Con-Air.

An administrator at Northern Neck Regional Jail in Virginia confirms Chris is currently an inmate — and he’s quick to add Chris isn’t getting special treatment.

Chris has been placed in limited general population with no restrictions — meaning he gets to enjoy all the amenities of the facility, including:

— Daily showers
— TV
— Library
— Telephone
— Exercise
— Meals in the cafeteria

It beats L.A. jail by a country mile … where he was locked down in solitary 23 hours a day.

The downside … besides group showers — he circulates among the other inmates.

Chris Brown Extradited To D.C. Con Air Style

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Chris Brown has been taken into custody by U.S. marshals and will be transported to Washington, D.C., for an upcoming misdemeanor assault trial, an official said Thursday.

Brown, 24, was turned over to marshals Wednesday at a Los Angeles jail, marshals’ spokeswoman Laura Vega said. She declined to say when the Grammy winner would be sent to Washington.

The singer and his bodyguard are accused of hitting a man outside a Washington hotel in October.

Brown remains under court supervision in Los Angeles for a felony assault case filed after his 2009 attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

He has been held without bail in the city since mid-March, when he was discharged from court-ordered rehab for violating the rules of the facility.

He could not be moved to Washington until federal prosecutors — who handle all serious criminal cases in the nation’s capital — obtained a court order there.

The order authorized the transfer of Brown by federal marshals for the trial set to begin later this month.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin ruled Thursday that having Brown go on trial in Washington was the most efficient way to handle his legal troubles,

“It is the most expeditious and convenient method for all parties,” Brandlin wrote in his ruling.

Defense attorney Mark Geragos had been trying to block Brown’s transfer in the custody of marshals, arguing it would deprive him of a chance to properly prepare for the trial.

Brandlin rejected that argument and canceled a hearing scheduled for Thursday on the motion by Geragos, who wrote in an email that the Marshals Service took Brown into custody just hours after the lawyer filed the motion.

Geragos has sought the dismissal of the misdemeanor assault case, and a hearing on that request is scheduled for Monday in Washington.

If convicted in the Washington case, Brown could face additional penalties, including time behind bars, under the terms of a court order in the Rihanna case.

Chris Brown Calls Karrueche From Jail; Leaves Message For Fans (Video)

From E!:

Breezy left a voice message for his fans and his lady on Tran’s phone while still in jail, which she played on speaker and recorded as an Instagram video to share with all of Chris’ admirers last night—and also to let everyone know that they’re an item.

“I’m callin’ all my fans, you know I love y’all, thank you for all the support,” you can hear Brown say in the video. “Thank you for everything. The [“Loyal”] video just came out so I hope you all enjoy that. And most importantly, K, Karrueche, I love you. So thank you.”

If you don’t know, Chris Brown is currently in jail for violating his probation by getting kicked out of rehab. The whole assault thing in D.C. isn’t helping, either.

Judge Orders Chris Brown Sent Back To D.C. For Assault Trial

From TMZ:

Chris Brown may be yanked out of L.A. County Jail next month, shackled and put on Con Air bound for Washington D.C. … where he will stand trial for allegedly assaulting a man.

The judge in the D.C. assault case has signed an order — obtained by TMZ — commanding the honchos at L.A. County Jail to release Chris to the U.S. Marshal.

The Rihanna judge has already ordered Chris to stay in the slammer until his April 17 D.C. assault trial, but the judge never determined how he would get there.

Even though the D.C. judge imposed the order Wednesday … it’s not a done deal. The Rihanna judge must sign off before the U.S. Marshal is able to grab the singer.

Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, opposes the order and says Chris is more than willing to voluntarily fly to D.C.

Los Angeles Police Fire Officer Who Leaked Rihanna Assault Photo

LOS ANGELES (AP) –  A police officer who distributed an evidence photo depicting Rihanna’s injuries after she was attacked by Chris Brown was properly fired for her actions, a judge ruled Thursday.

Former Los Angeles police officer Rebecca Reyes took a picture of an evidence photo and the image ended up on celebrity website TMZ, although she denies that she sent it to the site.

Reyes snapped the photo to show to other officers and acquaintances, court filings state.

The image was one of several taken by police officers investigating Brown’s February 2009 attack on Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty.

Superior Court Judge Luis A. Lavin issued a ruling agreeing with the decisions of a disciplinary panel and Police Chief Charlie Beck to fire Reyes in 2012. After reviewing the record, Lavin also concluded that evidence supports that Ryes “participated in the release of the photography showing Ms. Fenty’s injuries to TMZ.”

The judge said he agreed that Reyes should no longer be a police officer.

“At a minimum, the public is entitled to protection from unprofessional employees whose conduct places people at risk of injury and the government at risk of incurring liability,” Lavin’s wrote in his ruling.

Reyes’ attorney Ira Salzman accepted the ruling without argument during a brief hearing Thursday. He said after the hearing that he was disappointed by the ruling and reiterated that his client did not leak the image to TMZ. He disagreed with Lavin’s descriptions of his client as unprofessional, saying she “made a singular mistake.”

“Rebecca Reyes is an outstanding person and was an outstanding officer,” he said.

Reyes had been an officer for 10 years before she was fired. In the hours after the Rihanna attack, Reyes was assigned to a team planning to arrest Brown but was pulled off the assignment. She saw an evidence photo of Rihanna’s injuries at her precinct and snapped a photo to share with others, including a former girlfriend who records show called TMZ.

The ex-girlfriend, also a Los Angeles police officer, told investigators she called the celebrity news site only to verify details of the attack that Reyes shared with her.

Salzman said Reyes’ ex-girlfriend, Blanca Lopez, remains on the force and that the person who leaked the photo “has never been found and never will be.”

Reyes and Lopez were in the midst of a breakup when the photo was leaked and both were investigated for their actions. Search warrants found no evidence of payments to either woman by TMZ, or conclusive proof of who gave the site the image.

Brown is currently in a Los Angeles jail held without bail after he was arrested March 14 for failing to remain in rehab as ordered by a judge. The rehab stay was part of his sentence for the Rihanna attack and his guilty plea on a felony assault charge.

SURPRISE: Chris Brown Reportedly Doesn’t Like Jail

03-21-14-chris-brown-court-tmz-3

From TMZ:

Chris Brown says he’s finally been scared straight — because he learned pretty quickly … jail sucks.

You’d think the photos of Rihanna’s battered face would have left an impression … on him. But apparently it took a few days in solitary to shake Chris to the core.

One source — who recently spoke with Brown on the phone — tells us, Chris says he feels like “a caged animal,” calling it “the worst experience of my life.”

We’re told Chris has been spending his time behind bars working out and writing music. He’s telling people on the phone, “I’ll never f*** up again.”

Not particularly convincing.

Lucky for Chris … he’s rich enough to buy his way out of jail — as we reported, he’s negotiating to pay off his alleged assault victim in D.C. so the case goes away and the judge in the Rihanna case lets him loose … to roam freely again.

Chris Brown Is Heading Back To Jail

UPDATE: A few things we heard that was going on with Breezy in rehab…

– He apparently stated that he’s “good with guns and knives” during a morning rehab reflection class;
– Touching another female client inappropriately; and
– Possibly failing a drug test.

****************************************

TMZ reports:

Chris Brown is on his way to jail right now, because he violated a judge’s order by getting booted from the rehab facility where he’s been living for nearly 4 months … TMZ has learned.

The judge in the Rihanna beating case ordered Chris to live in the Malibu rehab facility for 90 days to get anger management therapy, and he completed the stint earlier this month. BUT … at the last court hearing, the judge modified things and ordered Chris to stay in the facility while the Washington D.C. assault case ran its course.

The deal was this … if Chris left rehab, he would go directly to jail.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Brown was thrown out of the rehab facility this morning, for violating “internal rules.” We do not know precisely what Chris did, but we’re told it did not involve violence or drugs.

Sources tell TMZ … Chris was caught having “an inappropriate relationship” with a female worker at the beginning of the month, but that is NOT why he was thrown out today.

As you recall, Chris was previously thrown out of a different facility for throwing a rock at his mom’s car window.

Chris was picked up by L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies a short time ago and is on his way to jail.

Chris Brown Is Reportedly Fine With Rihanna & Drake Rekindling Their Relationship

chrisbrown-and-rihanna-2014

This is probably more non-news than anything, but…from TMZ:

Chris Brown is all good with Drake doing the midnight jockey ride with Rihanna — even though she caused MAJOR BEEF between them for years.

Sources close to Chris tell TMZ … the singer is copacetic over the duo rekindling their romance. Chris has his mind on his money … focusing on making a comeback.

Chris Brown Diagnosed With Bipolar Disorder, PTSD

cb

From TMZ:

Chris Brown has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, severe insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder … and that’s why he has had such anger issues … this according to new court docs.

Chris was in court today for a progress hearing in the Rihanna beating case. Documents were filed by the facility where Chris just completed 90 days of anger management therapy. In fact, Chris stayed longer, just completing 95 days.

In the legal docs — obtained by TMZ — an official from the rehab facility wrote that … in addition to his diagnosis … Chris was self-medicating inappropriately.

The facility writes, “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.” They never explain the cause of the PTSD. The letter also says Chris was diagnosed with Bipolar II.

The letter says Chris is on meds for the bipolar and other conditions.

Chris has learned various relaxation exercises, according to the letter, and he’s tested negative for drugs, including weed, during his stay.

The facility says he’s doing really well. It says he gets up at 5 AM and works hard. They say he’s been especially good with community service, saying, “Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”
