Uncle Luke Wants To Sue French Montana, But Doesn’t Want To Hurt Diddy’s Feelings

French Montana’s summer 2012 jam “Pop That” was a major hit, but not everyone was rocking out. The chorus samples 2 Live Crew’s hit “I Wanna Rock,” which at first had former member Uncle Luke hyped–but when he never received a check for the song, Luke wasn’t as excited.

He explained that French called him to appear in the video without telling him about the sample, essentially being sly about it. When he realized what happened, he decided to go through with the lawsuit.

He also maintained that he doesn’t need to be sampled by current rappers to remain relevant. Listen to the interview above for the whole story.

French Montana’s Ex-Wife/Baby Momma Goes Off On Twitter

I don’t know what’s going on, but the mother of French’s kid (I don’t know how many he may have with this lady) is a woman scorned. We’ll see if he responds to these Tweets.

RECAP: Gig It Launch Party In NYC

Taken from Miss Info, you can explain it better than me (being that she was there):

Gig It? We were pretty confused by the name, too. But last night, NYC media folks were invited out try out the new online game with a ton of special guests. 90% of them being rappers. Everyone from Rick Ross, Pusha T, Raekwon, Ace Hood, French Montana, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Nas, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, Slaughterhouse, Large Professor, Ace Hood, Ne-Yo, Jaime Foxx, T-Pain and more were roaming around the VIP. The game basically allows you to pick real rappers and customize a custom concert with every detail catered to your liking. You can choose the music, backup dancers, speakers, opening act, headline performers, wardrobes, sponsors, etc. So far all of the artists mentioned are in the game, with more big announcements to come.

French Montana – Xclusives Zone Interview

Last night, French Montana invited us to the studio and we were able to sit down with him for an interview. In the clip, he talks about his upcoming debut album ‘Excuse My French’ and the various collaborations and producers on it. He also reveals that Max B will be featured on another record called ‘Hey My Guy’, which will appear as a Best Buy bonus. French then lets us know that he had a record with Snoop Dogg and Lana Del Rey that didn’t make the album because he couldn’t clear it.

The Bad Boy artist then goes on to speak on his new single ‘Aint Worried About Nothin’, how people view him and his ‘best album of the decade’ comment. He goes on to say that his album will be the best to ever come out in Hip Hop. Finally he talks about where he wants to be in the upcoming years.

UPDATE: Who Will Be Featured On A$AP Ferg’s ‘Work (Remix)’?

UPDATE #2: Rocky, Schoolboy Q, French Montana, and Trinidad James, as confirmed by Ferg through VIBE.

****************************************

UPDATE: So we are finding that ScHoolboy Q will be a feature on the song….in addition, sources are saying that Wale isn’t an actual feature. So that means that the emcees to get on this track will (probably) be Q, French Montana, A$AP Rocky & Trinidad James. I guess we’ll find out for sure soon.

Oh yea — above is some footage of Ferg & Co. shooting a scene for the remix in Rucker Park.

In a previous interview, A$AP Ferg revealed that A$AP Rocky and Trinidad James would be on the remix to ‘Work’, but wouldn’t reveal two other additional features; now, it looks like Wale & French Montana will be rounding out the cut.
