It appears that French Montana & Co. (Meek Mill was reportedly also present) was hanging out at a Holiday Inn at Penn’s Landing in Philly following a show when someone drove up to his tour bus and opened fire. One 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach (he was pronounced dead after being rushed to Hahnemann University hospital) and another individual was hit in the shoulder (and is currently at Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition).

From NBC Philadelphia:

“It’s just ignorant. You fire into a crowd and you’re gonna hit somebody. In this case, unfortunately, someone was killed. Don’t know if they had anything to do with anything, if they were a fan or what,” said Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

Twenty-five people, including French Montana, his entourage and fans are being questioned by police. Three people were taken into custody for carrying guns. Investigators say that someone iinside the bus returned fired after the intial shots rang out.

So far, there are no suspects in the deadly shooting.
