He spoke briefly on his plans following his heartbreaking (to some) announcement, but in the below interview with Rikki Martinez of Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the now post-G.O.O.D. CuDi goes further into his plans musically and business-wise with Wicked Awesome.
Complex reached out to G.O.O.D. Music and got a pretty straight to the point, positive response pertaining to KiD CuDi’s recent departure:

Earlier KiD CuDi stopped by on Power 106 LA to let us know that he has left G.O.O.D. Music imprint to focus on his solo career and his own label, Wicked Awesome. But before he lefted he spit a few bars over Chris Brown’s brand new ‘Fine China’ instrumental with DJ Felli Fel.
While on L.A.’s Power 106, Cudi announced that he is no longer associated with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. His reasoning seemed to be that he simply wanted to focus on himself, his artist King Chip and his label Wicked Awesome Records. As of now, he is still under Universal Republic. Kid Cudi debuts his new single, “Girls,” off his forthcoming Indicud album which drops on April 23rd. He previewed this track last month at Myspace’s SXSW event. Pre-order the album oniTunes right now.
Kid Cudi debuted his new record “Mad Solar” from his upcoming LP Indicud on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight just before getting into his performance of the album’s lead single, “Immortal” which you can check out below.

While at Myspace’s secret show in Austin, TX, Cudder premiered a brand new verse from the upcoming Indicud. Hit-Boy was also in the building.

Kid Cudi performed at the BUKU Festival down in the N.O on Friday. During his set, he brought out King Chip for a performance of, “Just What I Am“. Below, Kid Cudi performs an acappella version of, “Immortal” .

On antidepressants
I took a trip on antidepressant lane for a little bit. After the WZRD song “Dr. Pill” everyone thought I was talking about molly or ecstasy. But I’m talking about prescription meds. I had just gotten a shrink. I was having an emotional breakdown with this breakup. I kept trying different pills for five months. It fucked me up. They weren’t working. It was every side effect on the bottle. I couldn’t fuck.
On not being on Cruel Summer much
I was a little disappointed. But Kanye had a vision for that. Whatever that vision was didn’t include much of me.
On his father’s burial
We didn’t have any money when my dad died. I knew we didn’t have much, but goddamn. I didn’t know it was like that. My mom revealed to me that the casket wasn’t sealed tight. She said my father’s not there, like there’s nothing.
On being labeled a deadbeat dad
That’s what bothered me about that shit that came out [on TMZ about the child custody case]. Why the fuck would I be a deadbeat? I was like, “That’s preposterous.” I didn’t fucking have a dad since I was a kid. I couldn’t wait to have a family and pick up where my dad left off, and be there for my kid.
Kid Cudi is the latest contestant on ‘Who Wants To Be F***ed By A Record Label?”. Naw, just kidding….but judging from the above, he’s definitely not liking the lack of attention is forthcoming project has been receiving.

I have to be honest: when Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius first created this piece of work, I overlooked it…..if fact, I didn’t even give this project a listen until earlier this week. Yep. Sad. Turns out the project is DOPE, and it only further convinces me when I see the above visual for their pretty dated but still powerful single ‘Teleport 2 Me, Jamie’. Check it out above.

Power 106′s Big Boy held his Block Party event at Hollywood’s Palladium last night. During Big Sean’s set, he brought out CuDi and Hit-Boy for “Clique”. Below, King Chip and Hit-Boy performs ”Busta Ass Niggas” and Lupe performs “Bitch Bad”.

Kid Cudi gave us a preview of this record a few days ago over Skype and tonight he gives Complex the green light to premiere the full record. He later tweet his next album will be the greatest album ever. I can’t wait to hear this album.
