From WUSA9:

A video of a D.C. cop in a dance battle with a local teenager has gone viral after it was posted on Facebook.

The Washington Post reports that a D.C. officer told a group of teenagers to disperse. Aaliyah Taylor, a 17-year-old Ballou High School student, then makes a deal with the officer to have a dance off, according to the Washington Post.

“Instead of us fighting, she tried to turn it around and make it something fun,” Taylor told the Washington Post. “I never expected cops to be that cool. There are some good cops.”

PG County Police Officer Caught On Video Punching Handcuffed Man

The other parts of the video are below. You can read the full story here:

In a shocking video uploaded to Twitter on Saturday evening, a handcuffed black man is seen being viciously assaulted by a Prince George’s County officer in Hyattsville, Maryland.

The video was tweeted in four parts around 6:15 p.m, by Twitter user @yungthugrat, who asked to be identified by his first name, Prince.

As the car rolls up and Prince begins filming, the man is seen lying on the ground as the officer straddles him and and punches him in the face, while he is handcuffed. A woman in the vehicle with Prince notes that the man is bleeding.

McKinney, TX Police Officer Resigns Over Pool Party Video

From the NY Times:

A police officer in McKinney, Tex., who was seen on video pulling his gun on teenagers in swimsuits and shoving a young black girl’s face in the ground at a pool party has resigned, the police said Tuesday.

Cpl. David Eric Casebolt, who had been placed on administrative leave after the episode on Friday, remains under investigation, Chief Greg Conley said at a news conference. The corporal will keep his pension and benefits, the police chief said.

“Our policies, our training, our practice doesn’t support his actions,” Chief Conley said. “He came into the call out of control, and as the video shows was out of control during the incident.”

The video was taken on a cellphone and posted to YouTube, where it set off another in a recent series of debates involving race and police tactics. The police said Corporal Casebolt and other officers were responding to a call about a fight and a disturbance at a community pool in Craig Ranch, a racially diverse subdivision north of Dallas.

Corporal Casebolt can be heard shouting profanities at the teenagers, and officers handcuffed several who had followed his orders to sit on the ground. He appeared to grab the girl and pin her to the ground after she did not heed his orders to leave.

One adult man was arrested on charges of interfering with the duties of a police officer and evading arrest. Chief Conley said on Tuesday that those charges had been dismissed.

At the news conference, Mayor Brian Loughmiller said that officials recognized a need for better training for officers, but that there needed to be expectations for interactions with police.

Greg Willis, the district attorney for Collin County, said in a statement on Tuesday that his office had received numerous inquiries about the case.

“We share the public’s legitimate interest in a full and fair investigation of this matter,” he said. “We are currently awaiting the results of the McKinney Police Department’s investigation and ask for patience as their investigation continues.”

Police Try To Crack Down Homelessness….By Seizing Possessions From The Homeless

From the Independent:

Police in north London have seized blankets, sleeping bags and food donations from rough sleepers in a crackdown on homelessness.

A local paper reported that the belongings, mostly donated by sympathetic members of the community, were snatched by police from a group of homeless people as they sheltered in an abandoned public baths for the night.

The nine people, including a man in his sixties, were seeking cover from a cold night in Redbridge and were left stunned when their worldly possessions disappeared into the back of a police car.

One of the men targeted in the action, Adam Jaskowiak, pleaded with officers to be allowed to keep his possessions for warmth. The 34-year-old said: “They [the police officers] were just taking the sleeping bags and chucking out everything. I asked to keep it, and the food, but they said ‘No’.

“I just grabbed as many of my things as possible and put them into a bag and ran.”

Police later confirmed that the shocking intervention was part of a co-ordinated effort to “reduce the negative impact of rough sleepers”.

Chief Inspector John Fish told the Ilford Recorder: “The public rely on the police to reduce the negative impact; this includes the need for us to assist in the removal of tents and bedding from public spaces and other inappropriate locations.”

In response, Joanne McCartney, chair of the Police and Crime Committee at the Greater London Assembly, has written to the Metropolitan Police Commissioner asking for an explanation for the seizure.

Her letter, seen by The Independent, raises doubts over the legality of the police’s approach and asks Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe on whose authority the officers acted.

“These are the most vulnerable people in society and they have to be offered assistance,” Mrs McCartney said. “To take someone’s only source of food and warmth seems to be extremely draconian and misguided to say the least.”

The move has also sparked outrage from the voluntary sector. Rita Chadha, head of the Refugee and Migrant Forum of East London, said the move was dangerous as well as confusing. “We are going through one of the coldest summers we have ever had, it’s a strong possibility that someone could die,” she said.

D.C. Officer Investigated for Alleged Inappropriate Misconduct With Teen

A veteran of the D.C. Police Department is under investigation for possible inappropriate conduct with a teen after a missing girl was found inside his home.

NBC News Reports:

The officer was found inside his Southeast D.C. apartment with a girl who appeared to be 15 or 16 years old Tuesday evening. Police executed a search warrant on the home Wednesday, and seized several cell phones, marijuana and a laptop computer.

Multiple sources told News4’s Shomari Stone the officer is being investigated for alleged inappropriate conduct with a teen girl.

Neighbors said they would often see a young girl going in and out of his apartment.

“By him being the age he is, the woman that he brought in there look a little young,” one neighbor told News4.

The officer is on leave pending the results of the investigation. As of late Wednesday evening, no charges have been filed.

The incident comes one day after D.C. Police officer Marc Washington was arrested and charged with production of child pornography while on duty.

LMAO: Footage Of Scotland Police Dealing With Cheeky Driver Goes Viral

From the Mirror:

TWO policemen who keep their cool and have a laugh with a cheeky motorist who refuses to give his details have become an internet hit.

The officers pulled over a van driver suspected of using his mobile phone at the wheel.

The YouTube video, which has been viewed 73,000 times, shows 20 minutes of banter which wouldn’t be out of place in a Chewin’ the Fat sketch.

The driver, who will only tell the officers he is “John, son of David”, repeatedly denies the road traffic charge.

The man claims he was going to get a banana and said: “I’m not driving today, at this point in time I am simply travelling.”

Even when he is threatened with arrest for obstruction, “John” refuses to give his date of birth because he “can’t remember coming out my mother’s water”.

At the start of the clip, the driver is asked if his name used to be John Burns.

He replies: “I probably used to be when I was born but I didn’t consent to it because I was only wee.”

One officer tells him: “I’m asking you for your name and date of birth so I can check if you have a valid driving licence.”

The driver says: “The birth certificate is Crown Copyright and I cannot use that. You’re asking me to commit fraud.”

Showing the patience of a saint, one policeman, referring to the driver’s giggling girlfriend, asks: “See this lady here, does she ever buy you a card once a year?

“And if so, when does that happen?”

After getting a date of birth and address,, one of the officers tells the driver that he will dedicate a chapter to him in his book.

Asked by the man if he enjoys his job, the policeman quips: “I used to enjoy it – up until about 20 minutes ago.”

He then says to the driver: “You better not be putting this up on YouTube.”

When told it would be going online, the PC has a laugh saying he’s “Tam, son of wee Bobby fae the Calton”.

He stresses that it’s “wee Bobby” because “big Bobby is in the same street and you dinnae want to confuse the two of them”.

A police spokesman said: “A 44-year-old man is subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with an alleged road traffic offence on November 6.”

Armed Police Arrest Men In The Middle Of Shooting Music Video

Is this a case of police overdoing it once again? Courtesy of AVIT UK:

I noticed a group of boys filming on an estate in Deptford yesterday for over an hour, before witnessing armed policeman rushing on the estate pointing their guns at them and shouting. If the police had observed the area before making such an entrance they would of seen many residents outside enjoying the hot weather and in the park right next to where the boys were filming. Apparently the police had received three calls that a group of black boys were pointing a gun at man on the floor. None of the residents I spoke to seemed bothered by the filming the boys were doing. The boys had used a wooden gun as a prop. They should of got authorization first, but educate them, don’t run on the estate frightening people and causing a disturbance.
