Two songs by Local, DC-area artists are in contention for the 2018 Grammys in different categories. Logic’s “1-800-273-8255”, featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid has been nominated in two categories and Goldlink’s “Crew” featuring Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy has been nominated in one. “1-800-273-8255”, has been nominated for song of the year and music video. “Crew” is up for “Rap/sung performance” category. Seemingly backing away from the “Jefe” name change, Shy Glizzy is back with a new banger titled ‘No I.D.’, which features Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. Check it out below.
Jefe and 21 don’t need “No I.D.” as they flex over a sample-based beat by Ceej from Two-9.

It’s a movement DMV and we keeping it moving. This project features some of DC elite artist. In an effort to help push the unity in DMV, Shy Glizzy, Garvey, Light show, Pinky Killa Corn, Mike D’ angelo 187, Lil Tae, King Shugg, Nooch and E4rmDaCity, blessed us with there talent putting on for the city on this DC CYPHER. This is the first project of its kind. We faced and few challenges and set backs, but its finally here. The DC Cypher!!!
Goldlink taps Glizzy and Brent Faiyaz for the groovy “Crew.” Brent provides the soulful chorus, Goldlink comes in with his signature sing-song flow and Shy shines on a boastful guest verse. “Crew” is rumored to be the first single from an upcoming 2017 project from Goldlink. We’ll keep you posted.
