Wale Squashes Beef With WWE

From TMZ:

Wrestling superfan Wale is back in the fold with the WWE after almost 2 years of feeling “blackballed” … and celebrated backstage at “Monday Night Raw.”

The rapper got to hang out and take pics with Triple H, The Rock and even Vince McMahon during the Miami event this week — a huge shift in his relationship with the WWE.

Wale used to attend pro wrestling events all the time, but in the past he’s told TMZ Sports he’s felt frozen out since he fought with a heckling WWE fan. He says the cold war started to end when he recently got chummy with some WWE higher-ups.

Fast forward to Monday when Wale finally scored backstage access, and now he’s aiming even higher — “I actually want to work there and I don’t know if [Vince and Triple H] heard about good Wale or bad Wale. Or if they even know what a Wale is.”

For the record, a WWE rep says there was never any official ban … but clearly things have changed a lot since 2014.

Smoke DZA & Wale – Absolutely Perfect

More dope wrestling rap produced by 183rd. Courtesy of STASHED:

Only a few weeks after Wale dropped off the Sasha Banks tribute, “Legit Boss,” he’s back with another Hip-Hop wrestling mark in Smoke DZA for their latest. It’s called “Absolutely Perfect,” and this track pays tribute to one of the greatest WWF Intercontinental Champions of all time in Curt “Mr. Perfect” Hennig.

WOW: Wale Opens The State Of The Union (And Becomes The First Rapper To Do So)

Wale is winning — not only for himself, but for a city that wouldn’t have come this far in Hip-Hop without him (if you disagree, be real with yourself). Yesterday, before President Obama took to the Capitol “stage” to address the country, the D.C. artist opened at the White House — and became the first rapper to do this, which is absolutely remarkable.

Check out the full pre-show below (Wale comes in a little after 45 minutes). Extra shout out to fellow Aggie Terrence J as well.

Hit-Boy – Yadda Yadda ft. Wale

:

Frequent collaborators Hit-Boy and Wale are tired of the chit-chat on their latest song, produced by Hit-Boy himself of course. For more information, check below.

Playbook’s newest client, Grammy Award Winning Rapper/Producer Hit-Boy teams up with Wale for their new joint “Yadda Yadda.” Talk is cheap as the HS87 frontman and Mr. Folarin urge less talk, more action. The track, produced by Hit is book end by a catchy hook from Wale on his latest, pointing to the gossipers and fakes, over a soulful, breezy guitar loop.

Wale Teams Up With Akomplice For Special Edition Ski Suit

D.C. folks will probably appreciate this more than anything: Wale has teamed up with Akomplice to create a dope ski suit, which comes with the D.C. flag and Yoruba patterns emblazoned onto the mostly blue and black colorway. There’s also a ski mask to complete the look.

Check out pics of the fit below; you can make your purchase here (baller alert: it’s $600).

Wale – MVP (Bryce Harper) [Prod. by Cheeze Beatz]

Wale drops a new ode to the Nationals’ baseball star. Apparently, local artists the Fatboiz (specifically, Darren Hanible) had a song with the same title and a similar flow, and they took to Twitter to call Wale out on the matter (Wale even responded, yet deleted his tweets not long after). Hopefully, we’ll figure out more on that soon; in the meantime, you can enjoy Wale’s track below (produced by Cheeze Beatz).

Shy Glizzy, Wale, Fat Trel, Garvey, Lightshow, Boobe & Lil Tay talk Uniting DC

Screen Shot 2015-10-14 at 8.59.10 PM
Tonight, Shy Glizzy took to Twitter to ask most of the biggest names in D.C. Rap about uniting and try to end disputes in the city. Aside from a reported spike in violence this year, a number of past disputes have caused problems between a number of these men, some less public than others. Here’s hoping they can put all of that behind them and that D.C. can start empowering itself.
