Young Thug Apparently Signed With Lyor Cohen’s 300 Label
I called this a while ago, when Thug was caught up in that whole Atlantic/1017 debacle. Kevin Liles, an A&R for Lyor Cohen’s 300 record label, did a RevoltTV interview and explained Thug’s situation. If you didn’t know, 300 is an “independent” label with distribution from Atlantic. Run by two former major-label big wigs (Cohen and Todd Muscowitz), the label is smaller, has Google backing ($5 Million) and is geared more towards digital “content” than the old record label system.
Stream Gucci Mane’s 3D Trilogy
Despite being incarcerated, Gucci Mane drops a trilogy of albums for the second summer in a row. The Green Album features the Migos, the White Album has Peewee Longway and the Purple Album has Young Thug although crossovers are frequent. Stream all three albums below thanks to DJ Day-Day, but be wary of mislabeled tracks. Support and buy the albums, the White Album is already on iTunes.

Whether as manager or big brother, Birdman has definitely taken Young Thug under his wing. And so it would seem that big things are guaranteed. Thug is already making music with Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, and Lil Wayne. The whole YMCMB team is riding with him.
Birdman says he’s not Thug’s official manager and that he wants him to join Cash Money “in time.” For now, he says it’s about more than business: “Really, he’s like my little brother. I just want to make sure his business is straight, and that he takes care of himself. I just want to make sure he gets the right treatment wherever he goes. His talent is going to speak for itself. By nature he’s Rich Gang YMCMB. He’s part of us, before he even met us.”
