Exclusive in-depth interview with Dizzy Wright. In part 1 Dizzy talks to Nick Huff Barili about being inspired to rhyme by Krayzie Bone and Bone Thugs N Harmony. Dizzy recalls that at first his Mother, who worked in the music industry, would write his raps but at one point he felt that it didn’t fully represent him so he started writing his own rhymes. Dizzy goes on to share the time him, his Mother and his four brothers and sisters lived in a homeless shelter when he was in 7th grade. Like Asap Rocky whom Nick also interviewed about living in a homeless shelter, Dizzy says that the experience gave him a perspective which he still carries today about being grateful for what he has. “I don’t really want for anything. I don’t expect anything. When you don’t have nothing, anything is cool. Like I said in one of my songs “We was strong when we was weak, thats why I pray before I eat.” As the interview progresses Dizzy talks about how the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ángel Ruiz help inspired Dizzy’s EP The First Agreement. Dizzy calls the book “Life Bars” and says it helps create “Heaven on Earth”. Part 1 end with Dizzy addressing people comparing him to Wiz Khalifa. Dizzy says “Wiz is the new Snoop Dogg….So anybody who comes up with tattoos and smokes weed is going to have to go through thats just another want to be Wiz Khalifa until he creates something for himself.
