Lil’ Wayne Speaks On The Miami Heat
Yes, it’s titled “Tune’s Sports Corner”. Why not. From the Weezy Thanx You blog:
Oh Lebron! The recent move by the Miami Heat confirms that we will someday soon have that good ole basketball back with all due respect to the Lakers-Celtics 7 game series. This move reminds me of the days when it was Johnson, Worthy, and Jabbar vs. Bird, Parrish, and McHale, or Thomas, Dumars, and Lambeer. Well now we have Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, and Pierce, Allen, Garnett, and ultimately, Wade, bosh, and James! Do expect this to become “protocol†to win an NBA title. As for many more teams have and will be stacking their rosters with stars.
I believe that this Miami team will be explosive as intended. Anything less than an NBA championship title will be uncivilized. 72-10 anybody?. Well with Wade at the 1 and Lebron at the 2 or vice versa even, or Mario Chalmers at the 1, Wade at the 2, and Bron at the 3… Wow! Not to mention that I didn’t mention Bosh, who can live at the 4 or 5. Zone defense will be a must against this team. That’s 3 players on the court that commands a double team. Just imagine those guys on a fast break, the defender back peadaling… Wade can take it to the hole or throw it up and you know Bron. Bron is going to get it… or dish it back to a trailing Chris Bosh who will definitely finish at the rim… again, wow! Or how about Wade at the 3-point line, Bosh setting the pick, and Lebron in the passing lane. And if you collapse on them, don’t forget that Chalmers can knock down the shot. I bet that they lead the league in alley-oops. And they’re all young! Scary! Hey, what if Pat Riley returns to the sidelines and it ends up being the Lakers vs. Heat in the finals? Riley vs. Jackson! Epic! Gasol on Bosh, Ron-Ron on Bron-Bron, and Kobe on Wade… wow!
More after the jump.
Also, beware of the Bulls. Boozer will fit in well because they’re similar to Utah in many ways. A nice guard surrounded by the shooters. With the addiction of Korrer and Rose should be able to shine brighter. The Bulls led the league in the rebounds last season and I’m sure they will again with Boozer and Noah.
Boston is the team of bad knees! With J. O’neal joining the squad, it adds another big man but his knees are always questionable. So is Garnett’s and now Perkins. But still expect them to do well in the east.
The Knicks are injury prone as well. Not only are their spirits injured from not getting The King, but Amare’s an injury threat as well as Turiaf and Randolph. If they can stay healthy, then expect Amare and Randolph to be beasts in the paint. Raymond Felton is no Steve Nash but he’s a solid point guard. He should do well with Stoudemire. I’m not sure about Orlando in the east this upcoming season. I mean Duhon isn’t exactly a good move but it has potential.
As for the West, Minnesota is stacked now with Beasley, Jefferson, Love, and Milicic. Golden State looks good with Curry and Lee. Though I’m not sure if we can expect Lee to brab all these boards in the west. Too many big men. As for the east is full of guards.
I can’t wait to see how teams stack up next season when those other big name players hit the market. Maybe Melo and Tony Parker to the Knicks? Or Chris Paul and Derrin Williams to the Lakers? They’re gonna have to do something! Good ole basketball.

Kanye’s New Girl…?
The girl in question, Shay (“from the UK”, as that say) may be his new girl after supposedly dumping Amber Rose. I usually don’t do rumors this heavy, especially since I usually don’t give a shit, but it allows me to post the pictures you’re about to see after the jump. BTW they probably aren’t safe for work. Your work, anyways…
Khujo Goodie Released From Jail Today

Great, great news. We reported on his unfortunate circumstance before, but it appears he’s beaten the justice system this go round. From Creative Loafing:
After originally being sentenced to serve two years of a five year sentence, Willie Knighton Jr., aka Khujo Goodie, was freed today after a Henry County judge determined that one of his indictments was legally void. Big Boi and Goodie Mob members Cee-Lo and Big Gipp were all in attendance at today’s hearing, and Big Boi testified on Khujo’s behalf.
Turns out that Twitter has been the leading source of breaking news on this case, which had most Goodie Mob fans wondering what Khujo had done to provoke the long arm of the law in the first place.
In an effort to fill in the blanks, Creative Loafing called Knighton’s lawyer Daniel Kane shortly after the news hit Twitter today.
According to Kane, Knighton had been serving time in a Henry County jail (located in the southeastern suburbs of metro Atlanta) since June 9, after being convicted of three counts of felony possession of a firearm and one count of violation of the Ga. Controlled Substance Act for having marijuana in his possession — charges he’d received in 2009 and 2010.
Khujo was originally sentenced to two years because Henry County had determined that he was already a convicted felon, due to a firearms violation dating back to 1990. But today in court, Kane proved that Khujo’s previous charge was legally void.
“He had a case in 1990 when he was a teenager that was disposed of under the First Offender Act,” Kane explained. “If you enter a plea under the First Offender Act you are not formally adjudicated guilty.
“The mistake was that they thought he was a convicted felon because they thought he was convicted in 1990,” he continued. “So I went back into the archives and got the 1990 case, researched it, pulled the records and presented them to the district attorney and the judge in Henry County and said he could never be a felon in possession of a firearm — there were three counts — because he was never a convicted felon. It was a first offender case, and the court agreed.”
Of course, a two-year sentence would have put a serious dent in the reunited Goodie Mob’s plans for a new album. But the case isn’t totally behind him — a new sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 3. When asked to speculate on the final outcome, Khujo’s lawyer preferred not to comment on the ongoing case.
He did, however, comment on Khujo’s disposition after being freed today: “Well, there’s great joy, great joy and happiness. And also his friends from the music industry, they were very, very happy. Big Boi and Cee-Lo, Big Gipp, they were very happy, as well as [Khujo]’s wife, and his cousin.
In the meantime, it’s back to business for Khujo, who is featured on the hook he penned for the song “Tangerine,” (featuring T.I.), which, according to Kane, will be the next single from Big Boi’s new album Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Return of Chico Dusty.
“It’ll be a smash; I know the song well,” said Kane, who says Khujo will be touring with Big Boi in support of the album. “It’ll get released somewhere down the road as a single after [the current single] “Shutterbugg” runs its course. So we’re looking for great success. [Khujo]’s going to go out and tour with Big.”
Khujo’s lawyer expressed equal excitement for the return of Goodie Mob.
“We’re all very happy for Khujo and we wish him tremendous success, because the Goodie Mob is reunited and they’re touring” said Kane, who, besides serving as long-time legal counsel for Khujo and other Dungeon Family members, also considers himself a fan. “We love Khujo. My son Trevor and Quinn just said, ‘Dad, do anything you can to get him out.”
Maybe we’ll get that official Goodie Mob reunion, after all.

Rick Ross Explains ‘Free Mason’ & Having So Few Tracks On The Album
Hope you’re not tired of coverage on this record. He also spoke to MTV about having a short album:
Rick Ross had a very clear and concise idea of what he wanted to do with his LP Teflon Don. He was inspired in part by some of the all-time classic albums he’s loved throughout his life — Nas’ Illmatic, Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel, Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Each of those albums kept its track listing at fewer than a dozen songs, but every one of those songs was timeless.
When he was done recording Teflon several weeks ago, Ross brought the idea of only having 11 songs on his LP to Island/Def Jam Chairman L.A. Reid.
“He was like, ‘It’s gotta be the right 11 records if it’s gonna be 11 records,’ ” Ross recalled. “I said, ‘That’s exactly why I’m doing it. It’s only a few artists that for one, would take that chance when it’s common to do 15, 16. We all know that you don’t like the 15, 16, 17. You really like the dope eight or the dope five. Or dope seven.’ I said, ‘Let’s trim the fat off a little bit and give them some rich street music.’ ”

Basketball Legends Speak On Lebron’s Move To Miami
Regardless of whatever side you might be on, I don’t see how one could disagree with that statement. Here are quotes from Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Charles “I didn’t even earn a ring” Barkley:
