Slim Jesus Talks “Rapping About Guns”, His Hood’s Connection To Chicago & More

Courtesy of Vlad TV, we get to hear Slim Jesus speak on his hometown, whether or not he really lives the life he raps about in his music, his hit record ‘Drill Time’, how Chicago is connected to his hometown (Hamilton, Ohio) and more.

At least he’s (seemingly) telling the truth; nonetheless, Vlad’s obvious skepticism is hilarious (you don’t even have to see his face, you can hear it in his voice).

Master P Responds To Ex-Wife’s Accusations That He’s Trying To Leave Her Homeless

From TMZ:

Master P says his estranged wife can have all his money if certain conditions are met:

1. Go to rehab
2. Take care of our kids
3. Dump your boyfriend

We got Ice Cream Man in Calabasas, and he was angry Sonya Miller has put him on blast, claiming he got the guard at the front gate to keep her out of the house. He says his only beef is that she’s letting her boyfriend stay there.

Master P has big beef with the boyfriend and delivers a very clear threat if he ever sees him in the crib.
And he says, Sonya’s claim that she helped build his company into a $180,000,000 empire is ridiculous … she’s no Cookie, according to him.

Scarface Blasts J Prince Over Past Releases, Calls Him “Disrespectful”

face

The below excerpt was taken from a recent interview Noisey, where Houston rap legend Scarface was asked to rank his entire music catalog:

SCARFACE: As far as some of the records are concerned, The Foundation is an album that I made regretfully. The Good The Bad The Ugly was a fucking trash album. It didn’t have Bushwick on it. That was a time when Master P was taking over the airways, so J Prince wanted to Master P the game. I was like “wow like we fucked up so bad trying to do Master P when we should’ve just continued to do us.” I feel like that was the fall of Rap-A-Lot Records to me. A lot of people may not see it like that, and some people might have gotten paid but from a creative stand point, trying be like Master P and put out albums every six or seven minutes fucked up our brand. I think greed fucked up the brand. So everybody, stay where you at. Don’t go trying to be like somebody else. Just cause somebody shit on their record, don’t go shit on yours. Don’t do that. And I totally stand by that.

Some solo records I don’t like either. The World is Yours is forced, so that’s no comment. The Last of a Dying Breed was forced. Balls and My Word was cut and paste material that I never used, and so was My Homies Part 2. Like the mass majority of the motherfuckers on the My Homies 2 album… I don’t know who the fuck they were, so they couldn’t have possibly been my homies. They were Rap-A-Lot’s homies!

NOISEY: So a lot of the artists on there were forced on to you.
SCARFACE: I mean, I didn’t even record that shit. I didn’t even know that shit existed until it came out. That’s how disrespectful this guy was with your material.

NOISEY: Thats unbelievable.
SCARFACE: He put my name on My Homies 2! If anything, I feel like he was trying to ruin my career with cut-away material that never ever made the album. Just a totally disrespectful dude when it came to your shit. J didn’t give a fuck about you, he gave a fuck about him. He didn’t give a fuck about your family, he gave a fuck about his. He didn’t give a fuck who you fed, he only fed his people. That’s real shit, I’m not making this shit up.

Inside The Box: DC White

Recently, I got to talk with DC-to-Atlanta transplant “White” about the music scenes in both cities, his Breaking Bad Edition project with Trap-a-Holics, and more.
-JL for JukeBOX:DC

1. What was your upbringing like?

Pretty much like alotta kids who parents was part of that 80’s era in DC … My mom ended up being a victim of the wave and my dad was in the streets and ended up down Lorton…raised by my step-dad who was a good man but it didn’t effect my childhood…I never gave up. Most dudes from DC got the hustler mentality to turn nothing in to something so I kept that in my head and it turnt out for the better. I was well known for playing football and basketball in city which spreaded my name as kid…

2. How and when did you first start rapping?

When I was bout 15 but it didn’t get serious till I got older and went thru the whole Gogo band phase I dropped two tapes during that whole Datpiff.com era that had to be like 2009.

3. In your music you’ve told stories about the streets, your come-up and your past. What other stories would you like to tell?

I got plenty stories but I try to push my message thru the music, basically trying prove to people u can be than what u accustom to and always trying do better for yourself and taking care of your family like a good man suppose to.

4. What do you think DC and Atlanta have in common?

Probably the nightlife which is a good way to push your music Atlanta been a part town but DC is like the 80’s all again folk partying every night and people from different states be in both cities so if ur music heard it’s a good chance they go home singing the song and playing it for they friends.

5. You’ve collaborated with a number of well-known, upcoming rappers like Woop, Hoodrich Pablo, Jose Guapo, Oochie, MPA Duke, Peewee Longway and even had drops from the late OG Double D.
What have you learned from working with other artists?

I used to think recording one song a day was cool…lol hell naw not down here…I learned how to take my craft more serious now from alotta my partners..I went from one song a session to four songs a session. So I would have to say work ethic just staying in the studio more than the street.

6. What is SWE?

SideWalk Executives is my brand and my family and friends mostly from the DC/PG Area but also my own entertainment company that I started in 2013 when stuff started getting more serious. I just wanted to be ahead of the game and have my business straight and boss my self up for any situation for the future.

7. Favorite song off of Breaking Bad Edition?

Probably “4 Drugs” with me, Yak, Kickstand, Pablo and Block. The song was just the a cypher really and we just all went in crazy on the track which was produced by one of my favorite producers Stribb.

8. What is next for DC White?

Next is DinnerWithThePlug with HoodRich Own DJ Scream which is goin be crazy. I got alotta (good) production on this next tape which is goin be big…Breaking Bad was a Trap-a-Holics edition, we came together just to give DC something that nobody done yet and to get the ball rolling for my next project.

Check out the Breaking Bad Edition mixtape and expect some more music from DC White soon.

CHECK OUT: ItsTheReal’s A Waste of Time With Migos & Gunplay

This week we have a special double episode of A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal! First, MMG’s Gunplay came through the apartment for some sea bass and an absolutely insane trip through life in Miami, his friendship with Rick Ross, and how ridiculous his hair has become. He talks about the Meek Mill and Drake situation, his extremely thorough drug use, and most importantly: the fact that he has more teeth than the average human. We also welcomed the Migos to the Upper West Side this week, and spoke with them about how Gucci puts out so much music, traveling through Russia, and of course, Quavo and Takeoff spit their favorite ad-libs. It’s not only our most-attended episode, but easily our most fun!

Future Responds To OG Maco’s Twitter Comments (UPDATE)

Above, Future sat down with HuffPost Live to speak on his new album DS2 and more, including the “destroying lives” comment that came from OG Maco recently:

He need to rap about whatever he rap about. Church Bible verses, whatever, and then he won’t have an opinion on hip-hop.

OG Maco, he goin’ have to respond. He goin’ have to see me about this. When I see him, he going have to tell me to my face. All that Twitter stuff, I’m not with that. I’m one hundred percent, a thousand percent. So if he can say it on Twitter, when I see him, I’mma see him and if he don’t say nothing I’m not going even respect him but if he say that in my face, he ain’t going get the response I’m saying right now. I promise you.

UPDATE: OG Maco has since responded, and everything seems cool:

UPDATE #2: Don’t know how we missed this, but have you seen OGMACO.com?
