Courtesy of GQ, the new documentary Magic City (based on the legendary strip clup) premiered July 10th:
Some people go to make it rain, but aspiring rappers go to Magic City in hopes of getting their music played and making it big time. That’s the power the influential strip club has in the hip hop industry. And nobody knows that more than Future, who first got his start at the legendary club.
Lil Scrappy wants you to know that he has no problem with the LGBQTIA community, but one thing is for certain: he doesn’t want children to grow up seeing such things and having their minds swayed to follow suit.
“I don’t want little kids to be on that s***,” the Love & Hip-Hop star firmly states. With news of Caitlyn Jenner’s sex change in the media just about every day, Lil Scrappy hopes that kids will not be persuaded and wants them to “stick to what you [were] made to be.”
Scrappy also feels as if this another “racist situation.””If a Black man [were] to do that, come on, man, you [are] ruined.” Though he believes “men wanna be women” due to the higher power they’ve received over the years, if a Black man were to do it he strongly believes he wouldn’t get as much support as Caitlyn – he even goes on to add that Black men may even get assassinated for such thoughts.
His last piece of advice for young men? Use your member wisely, because the process to physically alter yourself into a woman is not pain-free. “That s*** gon’ hurt,” Lil Scrappy expressed.

Manolo Rose, the rising talent from New York sat down with HHS1987’s EMoney to talk about an array of topics. The man behind “Run Ricky Run,” “Super Flexin,” and Troy Ave’s “All About The Money” talks about his creative process. He briefly discussed the story behind that “All About The Money” record for those who don’t know. Then he talked about how he comes up with some of the concepts for his records.
He talked about his upcoming ‘Concrete Rose’ album and tour. The album drops on June 2nd and will feature the late Chinx Drugz, Vado, Dave East, Rodwy Rebel (GS9), Problem & more. Following the album is the tour, where Manolo will be hitting damn near every city from July 2nd through August 28th.
He talked about working with other New York City artists, and shares his thoughts on the NYC rap scene. He talked about having worked with Chinx shortly after “All About The Money” was released last year. He talked about being at French Montana’s “Off The Rip” video shoot in NYC when the police shut down the set with a few arrests. He talks about having multiple tracks with Vado as well. When it comes to the NY rap scene he wants the area to stop focusing on one aspect of their rap because NY rap gets categorized as Jay Z, Nas & Biggie. He feels like the DMX, Busta Rhymes, Onyx, MOP, and more have always brought more energy to NY’s rap scene. With that being said he talks about the train of thought that complains about the current state of NY rap. He said the internet made the world flat, so connecting with young producers who only know how to produce that “trap” sounding drum pattern is not his fault.
