Brodinski – Brava Minimix (Ft. iLoveMakonnen, Yung Gleesh, Slim Thug, Peewee Longway, Young Scooter, 2$ Fabo, SD, Bloody Jay, MPA Shitro, Chill Will….)
French DJ Brodinski (who has been involved in the American Hip-Hop scene for a while) does more melding between Electronic music (EDM) and rap on this minimix from his upcoming album Brava. Set for a release March 3rd, the album is filled with features from Southern-based rappers like iLoveMakonnen, Yung Gleesh, Slim Thug, Peewee Longway, Young Scooter, 2$ Fabo, SD, Bloody Jay, MPA Shitro, Chill Will and more. Not only is it great that one of DC’s own is one a song from a well-know French producer who co-produced “Black Skinhead,” but Brodinski (or someone around him) clearly knows Atlanta rap. MPA Shitro and Chill Will, while talented artists are not exactly mainstream. The music is wonderful, oddly dissonant synths, driving basslines and the occasional “Trap” sound make everything fit together perfectly.

A year after the track was played on various radio mixes, remixed by the biggest names in Dubstep and partially leaked, DeadExit (now a duo, formerly a trio) finally releases the full version of the monstrous track “Snake.” The DnB/Trappy Dub track “Murder Tune” is the b-side. Skism – Never Say Die Vol. 3 Mix (Presented by UKF)
Skism’s label “Never Say Die” has dropped their third compilation of Bass and Dubstep records (in conjunction with UKF.) To celebrate, he did a huge mix of songs from the compilation and some other songs from frequent collaborators at Circus Records (home of Flux Pavillion, Doctor P, Funtcase, etc), Disciple (Bar 9 and others) and Big Tuna (Trampa). Basically, some of the biggest names in making Dubstep what it was/is and expanding the huge Bass genre. This is a crazy mix, definitely something worth checking out if you’re into Grime, “EDM”, basically anything Dance or Electronic. Enjoy and support by purchasing the compilation here.
