Tez Banga – Rixh

Orlando/St. Louis Transplant Tez Banga dropped a track over on DGB that caught my ear today. The self-produced “Rixh” is simple, catchy and influenced by the Atlantan auto-tuned musings of artists like Future and Johnny Cinco. Nothing ground-breaking here, but that’s not always the point. Tez has a mixtape with DJ Rell coming out soon.

Gucci Mane – The Return Of Mr. Perfect (Album Stream)

Gucci Mane, Sean Paine and co release Gucci’s latest album, The Return Of Mr. Perfect for free (at least for now.) Unlike previous releases, the project has beats from a variety of producers as opposed to one or two. Features and beats from Strap Da Fool (watch for him), Chill Will, Wyclef Jean, Detail, Mike Will, 808 Mafia, Dun Deal, Sonny Digital, Drumma Boy and CNOTE.

HNIC – The HNYC (ReMix Tape)

Maryland-based producer the HNIC dropped this re-mix tape about a month ago. Unfortunately it hasn’t gotten much buzz since then. I only came across the tape because its on the first page of Google when you search “Solbiato” the name he gave for his Roc Marciano remix. Great track names, Dirty drums and and eerie samples back 17 tracks from New York rappers both old and new. HNIC channels a little bit of old RZA, Pete Rock, dusty tapes and something clearly his own on this great project.
