T.I., PeeWee Roscoe, Young Thug & Shad Da God – Bankrolls On Deck
A new track from the Bankroll Mafia that was featured on DJ MLK’s Goodnight Dont Exist In ATL 6. Yes that’s Peewee Roscoe, not Longway.

Bankroll gives us a little teaser of his upcoming mixtape. Life of a Hot Boy 2 coming April 24th.
J. Slim & Don Cannon – Premeditation (Mixtape)
Richmond, Virginia’s J. Slim taps Don Cannon for his new mixtape, Premeditation. The solo endeavor, featuring producers like 2Tall and Purp Dogg takes a conscious look at life in “the streets.” Definitely worth checking out.
Gucci Mane – Trap House 5 (Mixtape)
More Gucci! Can anyone keep up with the near-constant stream of music? Trap House 5 is supposed to be “the Final Chapter” of the series and is mostly produced by Zaytoven.

Oddisee – CounterClockwise (Video)
2DopeBoyz are callling Oddisee this area’s “Best kept secret.” He’s far from it, the man is basically the king of the Underground around here.
Future – Forever Eva
More Future, so much Future, all the time. “Forever Eva” is off of Beast Mode.
Flex Kartel – Bullet Has No Name Ft. Chaz French
DC rapper Flex Kartel talks about the unfortunate reality of street violence over a Tyrellington beat, with help from Chaz French on the chorus.
Footage from Wale’s Concert About Nothing
Here are three recaps and some bonus footage of Wale’s crazy album concert in DC this weekend, presented by Trillectro. Footage courtesy of our man Grape Jellie, DMV’s The Move, Scott Frantz and Maraud DC.
Chris Fresh 808 – Fresh For No Reason (EP)
808 Mafia rapper/producer Chris Fresh keeps the music coming with a brand new EP, produced and featuring White Rocks and Southside. White Rocks handled three out of five beats on this, and we’ve noticed the young South Carolina’s heavy Trap beats for a minute now, it’s nice to see him get some shine.
Tokyo Daimo – Legend (Freestyle)
Daimo over “Legend.” His lyrical dexterity may sound impressive on this freestyle, but it pales in comparison to his written material.
Tokyo Daimo ft. Tino Loud & Paul McKinley – Wheels (Prod. Fortune)
Tokyo Daimo rolls with Tino Loud and Paul McKinley on the Autotune-heavy, triumphant “Wheels.” Ghostwritten by Wayne Perry, Daimo’s new mixtape is coming soon.
Plus – Ones Up Guns Up (Mixtape)
Plus AKA Big Homie Plus AKA A-Plus has been in this local rap scene for years (he battled Shy Glizzy in 2011.) I haven’t heard much from him lately, but I’m fucking with OUGU, his latest mixtape, hosted by DJ Suspence. It’s nice to hear a break from a lot of the basic Trap you hear out of DC. Enjoy.
Migos Ft. Trinidad Jame$ – Stankin
The Migos and Trinidad Jame$ are “Stankin.” This song is featured on the Durtty Boyz/Mixtape Monopoly compilation The Warm Up Vol. 1.

Fabolous – Ain’t Nuthin Ta F**k Wit Freestyle
The only time in recent memory that someone other than Wu-Tang instrumental was Meek Mill bodying “Ice Cream.” If you aren’t going to do something like that (political commentary and bars) then don’t bother trying, even if you’re Fabolous…Although hearing DJ Clue drops was great
Nude – Microphone Circle
Another track by Nude off of Moose Records from their release Moosetape #8. “Microphone Circle” starts off slow and collected, poised even, with a kind of sexy sample. It then explodes into a fierce rap before going back into a lull and starting again. Check it out.
Wiz Khalifa – The Sleaze (Video)
Khalifa drops the video for one of his worse songs ever. I do wish some of these dudes had some substance.
Curren$y – Pilot Talk III (Album Stream)
In the modern era of the music industry, artists are keen to experiment with new ways to release music and continue their careers. Some continue the traditional album release method (sometimes with a twist, like a surprise release.) Some choose a pay-as-you-like method. Others release their music for free and solicit donations separately. A fourth method that seems to be getting popular is releasing expensive alternatives to free options. Pilot Talk III is one of those. While technically a “free” release, you can pre-order the wavy mixtape from Currensy, the smooth-talking stoner on a plane-shaped USB drive with a lookbook and a shirt for $100. Check that out here.
Johnny Cinco – Trap Religious (Mixtape)
Johnny Cinco surprises us with a new mixtape after no promotion, no announcment, nothing. This tape, Trap Religious, is all simplistic, lowkey Trap records. Unlike the usual Cinco tapes, we don’t get to hear much singing (exceptions are “Ghetto “For A Little.”) We do get to hear some different flows, though, like the No Limit-esque “Shit We On” and the post-Migos flow “When I Grow U[.” Trap Religious also has a lot more features and producers on it. Of course, guys like Spiffy, WillAFool, Profet and Lucci appear. But we also hear from Peewee Longway, Shy Glizzy, Sauce Walka, Ca$h Out and producers Fresh Jones and BeatMonster. Anyways, I really enjoyed this project. Cinco is easily the favorite out of Atlanta Trap right now.
Shy Glizzy – SXSW Recap 2015 (Video)
Kendall Mathis shot a ton of footage from Shy Glizzy’s SXSW tour this year (and his trip to Houston.) Cameos from Sauce Walka and SosaMann from Houston, as well as DJ Lil Keem, Starlito, etc.
Sicaa – Dream Flip
A kind of ambient instrumental track by Moose Records artist Sicaa. The track is vaguely reminiscent of Aphex Twin, with some nice digital flourishes in there. There’s some really nice transitions, like an ever-changing chaos struggling to break through to some sort of clarity.
