Yo, real talk. There are so many independent acts out right now putting out good a** music that it has me over here cheesin’. ….It makes me want to not even THINK about turning on the radio. Ya know? Why subject myself to such filth when there’s so much quality at my fingertips? …In EVERY genre too.
I mean just listen to this new joint by NYC rapper Perrion. One word. Dope! …And to think I almost forgot about this dude. (Digital consumption overload problems).
Perrion is a pretty dope rapper though. Last I’d heard from him was his song “Get A Job”, which was about 10 months ago. Played that to death actually. Especially during my Friday night V’jay sets. Completely forgot to check back on him though since I hadn’t seen his name pop up in a while. …Gotta thank my YouTube suggestions on this one. Seen the name come up and was like “Oh’ sh*! …hadn’t heard from this dude in a while”.
Went through his latest’s and found this gem “Rollin” (and a few others below). Figured I’d share. …Love the raw New York inner city vibe. And as an ex skater myself (too old now. I just cruise…), I’ve always appreciated a good skate video. So check it out. “Rollin” (below). Enjoy…
