Bodega BAMZ’s latest single gets a boost from fellow New Yorker French Montana.
Jae Millz – T.R.O.Y. Freestyle
If I remember correctly, Pete Rock didn’t take too kindly to Lupe Fiasco jumping on this classic instrumental. With that said, here’s Jae Millz take on Soul Brother and CL Smooth’s hit. 1990+ is on the way.
@LittleSimz Feat. Tilla – Classy Events (@EuphoricStoners)
Little Simz keeps the consistent with a new track alongside fellow Spage Age member Tilla, done over J. Dilla‘s ‘Trashy’. Dope.
Lumidee – Never Leave You (@MNEK Remix)
Apparently, he did this just for fun, but it’s still worth the listen (anything coming from the talented MNEK is).
Young Thug – DJ Scream Interview
Young Thug dropped in on DJ Scream’s HoodRich Radio yesterday. During his visit, he talked about some the one person he wants to work with (Lil Wayne, but that shouldn’t be a surprise), how he feels about people rapping over “Stoner”, YSL, making money and more…although the interview does cut off early.

The Flaming Lips – 2nd Cassette Demo (Stream)
Apparently Flaming Lips head Wayne Coynes was selling a rare 2nd Cassette Demo from 1983 at recent shows, and issued a limited run of vinyl pressings. Those surely sold out, but the rest of us have these Youtube streams of both videos to enjoy.

#LatePass: Mambo Sauce – 4G ft. The Directors
Welcome to #LatePass, a new series where I finish wrapping up 2013 but posting content of note that I forgot to put out/slept on in the past year…
It seems like Go-Go is on the way out. Whether its rap’s new-found popularity in the DC area over the past half a decade, rising costs of living and gentrification in DC, or the violence and subsequent police responses like the “Go-Go Report“, the unique genre seems to be dying…Here Mambo Sauce lyricist Black Boo addresses that problem head on with a beat from The Directors. Who better than the only Go Go band to chart in recent years? Read what the group had to say below’
This song is dedicated to our city. We truly love our city and want nothing but the best for it. The music in our city (Go Go) has been our backbone for years. If it wasn’t for this genre of music Mambo Sauce would not exist. As far as we know, we are the ONLY band that FOCUSES on original music. With the exception of Black Alley, Wisdom Speaks and others that we have yet to hear about, Mambo Sauce focuses on original music because we would like to see Go Go music placed on the global platform. We feel that original music is the only vehicle that can drive us there. This song is not a “Dis” track, it’s more of a pep talk. If you feel some type of way then we are accomplishing our goal. This is a thought provoking track. We are committed to spreading our city’s music across the world. We do this for Chuck Brown. We do this for the DMV. We do this for our kids. We do this because we love it.
Title 4G has a triple meaning
1. 4 Godfather Chuck Brown – Nothing else needs to be said.
2. 4 G’s Go Go Going Gone – Our music is loosing it’s presence within our city.
3. 4 G as in the network. We need to step our network (net-worth) up.
