STREAM/DOWNLOAD: SOJA – Live In Virginia
We might as well be honest: as (mainly) purveyors of Hip-Hop, we didn’t truly dive into the sounds of Virginia Reggae/Rock band SOJA until after we learned that Alfred The MC (aka Mambo Sauce’s Black Boo) had a dope collaboration with them (we also learned that Mambo Sauce had toured with the band year’s ago).
Having created music since the turn of the century, you can find their catalog (and other cool stuff) via their official website; below, we’ve provided last week’s concert album release SOJA: Live In Virginia, which features the aforementioned Alfred The MC collaboration ‘Promises And Pills’ (via iTunes/Apple Music).

Collie Buddz Feat. IAMSU! & Berner – Wake And Bake
The first single from GH vol 2. “Wake & Bake” is a sure shot stoner anthem featuring Collie Buddz, IAMSU and Berner. Produced by Collie Buddz the song was originally going to be used as an interlude but the hypnotic hook urged him to revisit it and turn it into a full song. “At first I sent the song to Wiz thinking it would be a perfect fit,” explains Buddz “but then I got a call from IAMSU who heard the riddim and immediately laid down his verse. We still felt that something was missing and enlisted Berner to finish it off for us.”
Mavado Feat. Future & Ace Hood – I Ain’t Going Back Broke
Mavado teams up with Future and (fellow We The Best artist) Ace Hood for his latest single, ‘I Ain’t Going Back Broke’.
Elephant Man – Shmoney Dance (Video)
Although Bobby Shmurda’s famed dance is basically what’s been popular in Jamaica since forever…Elephant Man embraces the young star and dedicates a song to the “Shmoney Dance”. The video is filmed in Brooklyn with Shmurda.
