Spotted on Ace Showbiz:

Frank Ocean has been hit with copyright infringement lawsuit. A music company named TufAmerica has sued the rapper, claiming that his track “Super Rich Kid” illegally samples Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love”.

TufAmerica only owns 3.15% of Blige’s song, as it was awarded after they sued the singer and her label for illicitly using a sample of a 1973 track they actually own, The HoneyDrippers’ “Impeach the President”. Shortly, Ocean is being sued for using a sample of a sample.

“Super Rich Kids” is a song that he recorded with fellow Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All member Earl Sweatshirt. The track appears in his Grammy Award-winning album “Channel Orange”.

Meanwhile, TufAmerica is the same company who has sued Kanye West, Jay-Z and Beastie Boys among others for allegedly sampling its tracks without permission.

Tyrese Denied Visitation Of Daughter By His Baby Mama; Files For Contempt

02123-norma-tyrese-gibson-tmz-getty-3

From TMZ:

Tyrese Gibson has made good on his promise to go after his ex-wife for not letting him visit their kid … and worst case scenario for her is JAIL.

TMZ broke the story … cops came to Norma Gibson’s home Tuesday night over Tyrese’s right to take their 6-year-old daughter away for a visit. The cops talked to a very upset Tyrese and left. Tyrese left too … without his daughter.

He’s now filed a formal motion with the court to hold Norma in contempt for violating their custody order. In the legal doc — obtained by TMZ — Tyrese quotes from the custody order, which seems pretty clear — “[Tyrese] shall have custody of Shayla every Tuesday with pick-up from school, and if no school, pick-up from [Norma’s] residence at 10:00 a.m.”

It’s interesting — Tyrese showed up Tuesday NIGHT — not at 10 AM.

We’re told Norma told Tyrese their daughter was sick and that’s why she wouldn’t let her go.

Drake Bitches & Moans Over Losing Rolling Stone Cover To Philip Seymour Hoffman

Simply out, Drake is apparently upset because Rolling Stone was supposed to give him the cover of their latest issue for his feature….too bad one of the world’s greatest actors died abruptly. In addition, he’s backtracking from recent quotes made regarding Kanye West’s lyricism on Yeezus.

Looks like we won’t be seeing any magazine interviews from Drizzy for a while (check out the above tweets).

Drake Questions Kanye West’s Bars On ‘Yeezus’

Yesterday, Rolling Stone put out the first part of the interview with Drake where he shared his opinion of Macklemore sending Kendrick Lamar an apology text after his Grammy win. In the second part, Drake questions some of Kanye’s lyrics on Yeezus, and even seems to throw a shot at Fabulous. In addition, he spoke on his relationship with Rihanna. Check out some candid quotes from the article below.

There were some real questionable bars on there. Like that ‘Swaghili‘ line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some shit like that.”

“Kanye’s the reason why I’m here. I love everything about that guy.”

[ON RIHANNA] “She’s the ultimate fantasy. I mean, I think about it. Like ‘Man, that would be good’. We have fun together, she’s cool and shit. But we’re just friends, she’s my dog for life. I’m not after p*ssy like I was three years ago, when I was trying to make up for all the years when no girl would talk to me. But I haven’t met somebody that makes everybody else not matter.”

PICS: Teenager Stabs One Girl & Beats Another….Because They Called Him Harry Potter

Click through the gallery to see the gruesome pics of the victims. From the Mirror:

A teenager who stabbed a girl in the face and smashed another’s head against a fence because they called him HARRY POTTER has been jailed for more than four years.

Ryan Walker wears glasses and has short black hair like the boy wizard created by JK Rowling, and played by actor Daniel Radcliffe in the hit movies.

But the 19-year-old snapped after the girls called him Harry Potter, stabbing one in the face so hard the blade of his vegetable knife broke.

Walker then smashed the other’s head against a fence and shouted “die, die”.

He claimed he launched the ferocious attacks in Southampton after being goaded repeatedly by the girls.

Victims Emma Keeble, 15, and 16-year-old Leah Pearce, are still coming to terms with their injuries, which left their faces battered, cut and bruised.

Southampton Crown Court heard how Walker returned to his family flat after shopping for his mother and had to pass the girls sitting on the stairs.

One touched his shopping bag before verbally abusing him and telling him he resembled Harry Potter.

Outraged, Walker saw red and came back downstairs with a milk bottle full of water and threw it over the girls.

He then went back into the flat and re-emerged with a vegetable knife before walking to a local park – knowing the girls would follow him.

Walker then lost his temper, stabbing Leah in the face, who then started bleeding profusely.

He attacked Emma, flooring her with a series of punches and kicks, before smashing her head against a fence, shouting “die, die”.

After his arrest he made a full confession, describing his actions as “monstrous”.

He pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, attempting wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article.

Walker’s defence barrister Keely Harvey told the court he was bullied at school and seen as a “wimp”.

She said: “He finally lost it. He flipped and attacked them in this most horrific way, not justifiable, but I hope they can now see where it came from.”

Passing sentence, Judge Peter Ralls QC, said the girls may have been rude, but there was no justification for what Walker did.

He said: “It was deliberate and planned. It was a sustained attack in which you used the knife as a weapon and your foot as a weapon.”

Walker was sentenced to a jail term of four and a half years.

After the sentence, Leah’s mum Claire Pearce, said: “The injury has left a scar on Leah’s face that will be there for years.

“I don’t think the sentence was enough for what he did. He admitted he flipped and it was the final straw.

“I think he is a dangerous man given he flipped like that and attacked the girls.

“I feel sorry for the next person that calls him a name.”

Fan Sues Skrillex, Claiming His Stage Diving Caused Her To Suffer A Stroke

Thanks to TMZ, you can also check out a video of what is assumed to be the stage dive in question.

Skrillex might wanna cut stage diving out of his repertoire — TMZ has learned, a fan has just sued the DJ for leaping on top of her from a stage in 2012 … and giving her a stroke.

Jennifer Fraissl filed the lawsuit, claiming Skrillex — real name Sonny John Moore — took a flying leap from his DJ table during a performance at The Belasco in Downtown L.A. in February 2012 … and landed on top of her.

Fraissl says she was standing near the front when Skrillex beckoned the crowd forward — making it impossible for her to leave or even protect herself — and that’s when Skrillex jumped from his table … several feet above the stage.

Fraissl says she suffered several injuries when the DJ landed on her, and later suffered a stroke as a result of the trauma.

She’s now suing Skrillex (who’s pretty well known for stage diving during his shows) as well as the nightclub — claiming Belasco failed to prevent Skrillex from acting so recklessly. She’s asking for unspecified damages … medical expenses, loss of income, and more.

Calls to the nightclub and Skrillex’s camp weren’t returned.

Suge Knight Attacks Weed Dispensary Owner (VIDEO)

From TMZ:

Suge Knight punched a guy hard at an L.A. pot dispensary … and we got the surveillance video.

Suge got angry at an employee … allegedly threatening to kill the guy …. after the rapper was told to leave because he didn’t have a medical marijuana card.

When you watch the video, things start out friendly enough inside the pot shop — called Medstar Collective — but turn ugly quickly. Suge and the employee walk out and the mogul socks the guy in the jaw without warning … then storms away.

The employee filed a police report and the cops have the video. Suge is being investigated for making felony criminal threats.

Suge’s position — he agreed to make an appearance for cash and weed and they went back on the deal.

Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Found Guilty Of Corruption

From CNN:

Ray Nagin came into the mayor’s office in New Orleans as a would-be reformer and led the city through the worst disaster of its modern history.

He left a federal courthouse a convict Wednesday, after a jury found him guilty of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes and other favors from businessmen looking for a break from his administration. Of the 21 counts against him, he was found guilty of 20.

Nagin had little to say as he left the courthouse Wednesday afternoon, telling reporters only, “I maintain my innocence.” A small knot of supporters yelled, “Keep your head up” and “He’s just a patsy,” CNN affiliate WDSU reported.

His lead attorney, Robert Jenkins, told reporters his client would appeal the verdict.
“We did the best we could do,” Jenkins said.

Prosecutors argued the 57-year-old Nagin was at the center of a kickback scheme in which he received checks, cash, wire transfers, personal services and free travel from businessmen seeking contracts and favorable treatment from the city. Several of those businessmen had already pleaded guilty to bribing the ex-mayor, who left office in 2010.

A January 2013 indictment detailed more than $200,000 in bribes to the mayor, and his family members allegedly received a vacation in Hawaii; first-class airfare to Jamaica; private jet travel and a limousine for New York City; and cellular phone service. In exchange, businesses that coughed up for Nagin and his family won more than $5 million in city contracts, according to the January 2013 indictment.

The earliest of the charges date from before Katrina, which struck when Nagin had been in office for about three years. The storm flooded more than three-fourths of low-lying New Orleans when it struck on August 29, 2005, and left more than 1,800 dead — most of them in Louisiana.

Supporters credited Nagin’s sometimes-profane demands for aid from Washington with helping reveal the botched federal response to the storm — a fiasco that embarrassed the George W. Bush administration and led to billions of federal dollars being poured into Gulf Coast reconstruction efforts.

But the onetime cable-television executive also had his detractors: A congressional committee criticized him for delaying evacuation orders, and his frantic description of post-storm New Orleans as a violent wasteland with up to 10,000 dead turned out to be greatly exaggerated.

As he sought re-election in 2006, with much of the city’s African-American population displaced by storm damage, Nagin was blasted for insisting that New Orleans would remain a “chocolate” city.

Nagin won a second term despite the controversies, but left office with his approval ratings in the cellar and told CNN his career in public office was over.

“I have given my pound of flesh,” he said.

Nagin sought to have the charges dismissed in October after another federal judge blasted what he called the “grotesque” misconduct of prosecutors in the post-Katrina shootings of unarmed civilians by police at the Danziger Bridge.

The judge tossed out the convictions of five cashiered cops after ruling that members of the U.S. attorney’s office tainted their 2011 trial by anonymously posting “egregious and inflammatory” comments at online news sites.

Nagin argued that he was the target of the same underground effort, citing “a continuum of pejorative statements and demeaning racial epithets” aimed at him. The U.S. attorney’s office said none of the prosecutors involved in the Danziger Bridge case played a role in the Nagin investigation.

Rihanna Was Actually Broke At One Point (Since She’s Been Famous)

Rihanna-Bikini-Photos11

From the Irish Examiner:

The ‘Only Girl in the World’ hitmaker blames her accountants’ poor decision making for her fortune dwindling away from $11m in cash at the beginning of the year to $2m several months later.

In documents filed in her gross mismanagement case against the accountancy firm, Berdon LLP, Rihanna claims they gave her the go-ahead to buy a house priced between $7m and $7.5m, which she did – and later sold for a $2m loss.

To further add to her financial woes that year, the singer’s expenses “doubled”, TMZ reports.

In the lawsuit, Rihanna also claimed her 2009 ‘Last Girl on Earth’ tour was losing money but she was never warned of this by the accountants.

Berdon previously claimed Rihanna’s own “financial action or inaction” or those of people working for her caused her to lose money, not their decision-making.

They also dismissed the ‘Diamonds’ star’s previous objection she paid an “above-average” commission of 22% as something she had signed off on herself.

The 25-year-old star is now worth an estimated $43m.

Drake Calls Macklemore’s Grammy Apology Text ‘Wack As F***’

1727034079

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Drake told them how he felt about Macklemore sending Kendrick Lamar an apology text after winning three Grammys. Drake thought it was wack as f***:

I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better — make better music’. It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?

To name just Kendrick? That shit made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages.
