Young Jeezy Denies Assaulting His Son

young-jeezy-sons-sweet-16-7

From TMZ:

Young Jeezy says he did NOT brutalize his son and make terroristic threats against him … and claims the whole thing was a set up by his loathsome, greedy, gold digging baby mama who got him arrested.

Sources connected to Jeezy tell TMZ … the rapper and his 17-year-old son Jadarius did indeed get into a nuclear argument in Sept., 2012, but it never turned really violent. We’re told it started when Jeezy told the teenager he had turned into a punk kid with an attitude and he didn’t want the kid staying at his house.

Our Jeezy sources say Jadarius became belligerent and the two starting screaming at each other. Jeezy claims he never hit, choked, or dragged his son, but admits he shoved him to the ground when Jadarius got in his face.

As for the terroristic threats — Jeezy is accused of telling Jadarius, “I will kill you … I will put a bullet in your head right now” — the rapper claims all he said was something to the effect of, “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it.”

Our sources claim at the bottom of it all … Tenesha Dykes, whom they say is brainwashing the son against his dad and trying to squeeze every penny she can get from Jeezy.

NBA Commissioner Speaks On Dennis Rodman’s North Korean Trip

170056556

From NY Daily News, where you can read more on the story:

NBA Commissioner David Stern believes “a flash of North Korean money” has blinded Dennis Rodman’s love of Kim Jong Un and slams that any future trips by him abroad should be conduced in “a far more dignified fashion.”

“Dennis will be Dennis,” the retiring commissioner said of Rodman’s now fourth visit overseas to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Tuesday. “But I think there’s a lot at stake here in terms of a country that has — a very dangerous country.”

Stern’s voice of disapproval comes just hours after the eccentric Hall of Famer delivered a furious public rant in defense of his ties to the controversial young leader.

“Dennis had a meltdown,” Stern said of the earlier CNN interview that saw Rodman having to be physically coaxed by a teammate while on camera.

Stern defended Rodman’s visit as having no involvement with the NBA while calling his current players “terrific” when it comes to checking in on their travel plans.

“We did not sanction this. This is not part of us. We wouldn’t do such a thing without collaborating with the U.S. State Department,” he said.

“This one I believe was a little bit blinded by a flash of North Korean money,” Stern said of the former Bulls’ forward.

He further warned that whatever money Rodman may have been given by the young leader to visit the impoverished country could be counterfeit with the country being “the leader in producing counterfeit money.”

“They need food. They’re the most malnourished country that we don’t do business with,” he stated.

VIDEO/PICS: Dennis Rodman Sings Happy Birthday To North Korean Leader

You can check out pics from Dennis Rodman’s recent exhibition game in North Korea above; the video is below. From USA Today:

Dennis Rodman continued his stay in North Korea, where he celebrated dictator Kim Jong Un’s birthday with an emotional rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ before an exhibition basketball game between a group of American players and a team of North Koreans.

“It’s a very historical day for everyone in the world to see if we can co-exist with each if we take a deep breath and absorb how we look at certain things, so I think it went very well for everyone involved,” he told Sky News afterwards.

“I questioned whether we were doing the right thing because of the media scrutiny and it was important to stand strong and follow up and follow through and it all just worked out,” former NBA player Charles D. Smith added.

Family Of American Held In North Korea Respond To Dennis Rodman’s Outburst

From CNN, where you can read more on the story:

Eccentric basketball star Dennis Rodman’s bizarre outburst about an American citizen jailed in North Korea has drawn widespread criticism, including from the prisoner’s family.

In an exclusive interview from Pyongyang on Tuesday, he reacted angrily to a question from Chris Cuomo of CNN’s “New Day” about whether he was planning to ask North Korean leaders about Kenneth Bae, a U.S. citizen who was sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp by North Korea last year on accusations that he intended to topple the government through religious activities.

Bae’s sister, Terri Chung, told “Anderson Cooper 360” that Rodman’s comments were shocking and outrageous.

Bae, a married father of three, has suffered a series of health problems during his detention and has been transferred from the labor camp to a hospital.

His mother, Myunghee Bae, who visited in October, told CNN that her son was a devout Christian who had not understood the system in North Korea.

North Korea is officially an atheist state and has said Bae’s offenses included planning a “Jericho operation” to bring down its government through religious activities. The regime accused Bae of urging people to carry out “hostile acts” against the state.

Chung said Tuesday she was upset because Rodman didn’t use his relationship with Kim to help gain her brother’s release from the hospital.

“He was in a position to do some good and to help advocate for Kenneth,” she said. “He refused to do so. But then instead he has chosen to hurl these outrageous accusations against Kenneth. He clearly doesn’t know anything about Kenneth, about his case. And so we were appalled by that.”

She said her brother was in North Korea legally, working as a tour operator, when he was arrested in November 2012. She said she hoped one of the former basketball players would take a chance to ask for amnesty for him.

“This isn’t some game. This is about a person’s life,” she said.

The family on Wednesday released a statement — with the title “Dennis Rodman: No Diplomacy, No Kindness or Decency for Kenneth Bae” — that repeated calls for Bae’s release.

Ciara Blasts Social Media In Open Letter

ciara-wake-up-no-makeup

Ciara lets the bloggers have it for spreading negativity. Fair enough. Check out the open letter below (from her website):

I used to sometimes like visiting some of the blog sites to see what new things are happening in the world! Things like cool photos, current events, etc. But nowadays it seems like there’s a competition with sites on “Who Can Tear Someone Down the Most.” The stories are going from cool and creative to pure drama. Even the comment sections are beginning to get out of control and people are using the platforms to exercise a false sense of power.

People sure do have a lot of courage when they are anonymous. It’s like a “Who Can Say the Nastiest Comment Game.” I click onto some of the comments from something as fun as an Instagram post that you’re sharing with your fans, and a person finds a way to turn a positive post into a negative. I think to myself, “I could pick this person apart so bad but what for? Why act ugly like them?” It honestly takes the fun out of it when people seem so miserable.

Or at least that’s how I view someone wasting their energy to tear someone down, just plain miserable. They could be using that to do something much more productive. If only they could channel their energy towards positivity, it could make a difference in their own life as well as influence others. It’s kind of scary for the kids coming up, because even if a parent doesn’t allow their kids to have blog site access at home, they may still have access at school or other places. It’s now almost impossible to protect your kids from the vile things people say on blog sites today, and it’s even worse when kids hear hurtful things about themselves, their parents or other family members. In some cases kids have even resorted to suicide due to “cyber-bullying.”

My questions to people creating slander about people are:
What stops you from thinking twice about trying to defame someone? What are you trying to gain?

Words are powerful. You could say the wrong thing about someone, famous or not, on the wrong day and that could cost them their life because they’re at a weak point. Believe it it or not, you could also be encouraging them to give up on their life or whatever the situation is, when they shouldn’t. Or what about a story that causes unnecessary drama stemming from completely false information? It’s just flat out wrong and sad. I say to myself, I thank God for making me strong, because I’ve always been able to use the negativity as motivation, and it makes me stronger.

But I don’t just think about myself in this, I think about others that I see getting thrashed and think it’s just so wrong. It’s very sad that people just want to tear people down so bad just to see them unhappy. It’s unbelievable how far people are willing to go to get people to come to their site.
I say this to say….

Dear Blogger, It’s never worth it in the end when you sell your soul for a quick dollar, by creating bad stories about people. At some point, it will all reverse on you and you’ll end up regretting all the trash you wrote or said about people.
The universal friend “Karma” has demonstrated this over and over again. I strongly encourage you to project more positivity into the universe. If Social Media is a world that’s growing more massive by the day, why not use it to shed light?? Otherwise, you are merely contaminating our universe.

What about your family and kids?? Do you think about them?? You’re definitely creating a harmful and volatile environment where they must learn to live. It’s almost like you are cursing future generations with your bad energy.
Not to mention…Your “Personal Karma”??… Forget about it!
You better start doing some serious praying and rebuking, cause only The Lord knows!…:)

I sure do miss the good ol days when the focus was about the pure creativity of being an artist. Back then there was still some mystery. Social Media Is Beginning To Take Away The Specialness of What That Was, and Is.

The docs go on — claiming Jeezy subsequently choked his son and said, “I will kill you.” According to police docs, Jeezy’s son claims his dad said, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” adding, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.” The incident allegedly occurred in Sept., 2012.

Dennis Rodman Has A Complete Meltdown On CNN (Video)

This is just sad….and hilarious. From CNN:

Dennis Rodman lashed out at CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday morning after the CNN host questioned his friendship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and his exhibition basketball game in the secretive country.

“I love my friend. This is my friend,” said Rodman, who was flanked by fellow former NBA player Charles D. Smith.

Rodman, Smith and four other former NBA players traveled to North Korea this week to play an exhibition game in honor of Kim Jong Un’s birthday. Rodman, who first traveled to the country as part of a Vice documentary last year, has been a staunch defender of his friendship with the North Korean dictator and often reiterates that he believes basketball can help open the country up to the rest of the world.

In the interview on Tuesday morning, Rodman and Cuomo debated for about seven minutes, until Rodman seemed to be close to tears.

“This is not about me,” the former NBA player, wearing his trademark sunglasses, said in the emotional interview. “If I can open the door a little bit — just a little bit …”

He then likened his efforts to the Olympics.

“No one in the world ever asks why we have the Olympics … There’s no problems. It’s all about the game.”

Throughout the interview, Cuomo asked Rodman repeatedly how he could be friends with someone who killed his own uncle. He also asked Rodman questions about American Kenneth Bae, who has been held in North Korea for over a year. The interview seemed to be the first that Rodman hasn’t sidestepped the issue by denying it was any of his business.

“The one thing about politics, Kenneth Bae did one thing. If you understand — if you understand what Kenneth Bae did,” Rodman said. “Do you understand what he did? In this country?”

“What did he do?” Cuomo said. “You tell me.”

“You tell me,” Rodman said. “You tell me. Why is he held captive?”

Smith defended Rodman’s efforts in the interview, adding to Cuomo: “We’ve been doing these games for 3½ years,” he said. “Outside of what people know of Dennis, you don’t know Dennis. He’s got a great heart, his passion is about children and families, that’s why we are here.

“We are here because it’s about doing great will around the world.”

Missing Doctor Had Stalked Gospel Singer Marvin Sapp

AP – Grammy-nominated gospel singer Marvin Sapp received a personal protection order against a 30-year-old Michigan doctor about three months before she went missing, according to court documents.

A local judge issued the order against Teleka Patrick in September. Sapp, pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, alleged that Patrick claimed to be his wife, contacted his teenage children and had been to his home. He said she had joined his church after moving from California.

“I have at least 400 page(s) of correspondence from her which I have never responded to,” Sapp wrote in his petition requesting the protection order, which is effective until March 18.

Patrick last was seen on Dec. 5 after trying to check into a hotel in Kalamazoo, where she was a resident at a local hospital. Her Lexus was found later that night about 100 miles away in a ditch along Interstate 94 in northern Indiana. Her wallet, cash and identification were in the car.

Police in Michigan and Indiana, and the FBI, are investigating her disappearance.

Patrick’s parents, Mattahais and Irene Patrick, released a statement to The Kalamazoo Gazette saying that authorities advised them not to discuss the protective order because it could impede the search for their daughter.

“There are so many details that have been revealed during the course of this investigation that confuse and hurt us all the more,” they said. “Regardless of Teleka’s emotional state, we believe wholeheartedly that she has encountered some harm or danger. It is unlike her to go any significant length of time without any contact with family or friends.”

Jim Carlin, a private investigator hired by the family, told The Associated Press on Friday that he could not comment on the protection order.

“The family’s position is they did not know this was going on, and regardless of what may or may not be accurate, the focus today is to focus on what happened Dec. 5 and bring her home,” Carlin said.

Teleka Patrick was raised in New York and graduated earlier this year with a medical degree and a doctorate in biochemistry from Loma Linda University in California. She had been serving her medical residency at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Zamata, who earned a drama degree from the University of Virginia, stars in sketches on online comedy engines Jest and College Humor as well as on TV in FX’s Totally Biased With W. JAY Z’s Controversial Barneys Deal Exceeds $1 Million In Profits

barneys

From the New York Daily News:

The Shawn Carter Foundation has $1 million more in its coffers thanks to profits from the luxury clothing line Jay Z launched at Barneys’ flagship Manhattan store six weeks ago.

A source close to Barneys said figures were being tallied on Friday, the last day of sales, but profits had exceeded the million-dollar mark. The collection was unveiled amid a surge of criticism from Jay Z fans who wanted him to pull out of the Barneys deal after two black shoppers said they were racially profiled at the high-end store.

Instead, the rapper and the store pledged that 100% of the collection’s profits and 10% of all of Barneys’ sales on the day of the line’s debut would go to the foundation, which helps needy students pay for college.

Is Nicki Minaj Pregnant With Lil Wayne’s Child?!

lil-wayne-and-nicki-minaj

Rumor Fix reports:

Is Nicki Minaj pregnant with Lil Wayne’s child!? According to several new reports, yes!

The duo, known for their brother-sister type relationship, is said to be birthing a child together in the near future. Rumors began swirling after numerous urban websites began to report the claim. ThyBlackMan.com alleges they “recently got word” that “indeed Nicki Minaj is pregnant. To add fire to this drama Lil Wayne supposedly is the father to be,” the website adds, “It seems like Nicki Minaj was just having a fun night and got pregnant.”

One insider apparently also spotted the rapper sporting what appeared to be a baby bump while out to dinner January 2. The snitch adds Minaj made a conscious decision to stick with water that night, which is out of character for the star, who normally consumes alcohol. “Nicki twice made toasts by drinking water instead of wine, and it’s highly unusual for her to toast with anything but a full glass of wine.”

RumorFix has reached out to Nicki’s rep for confirmation.
