Kanye West performed on Randall’s island tonight at the Governors Ball and opened his set with a new song from Yeezus titled ‘Black Skinhead’ (it’s a little different from his performance on SNL). Below, he performs ‘I Am A God’ from his upcoming album, which is set to drop on June 18th.

HudMo Debuts New Kanye West Song At Parklife Festival
Hudson Mohawke previewed another new Kanye West song tonight at the Parklife Festival…seems like Kanye recorded over TNGHT’s ‘R U Ready‘ (which was incidentally taken down from their official Soundcloud page). With that being said, I’m not sure if this will end up on Yeezus, which is set to drop on June 18th. It’s good to hear more new Kanye.

Did ‘Yeezus’ Features Leak?
I’m not sure if this is true, but the Yeezus features may have been leaked on the net on two websites: Sanity & JB Hi-FI. The collaborations on the project are said to be with No I.D., RZA, Thomas Bangalter (of French electronic duo Daft Punk), Skrillex, Young Chop, Chief Keef, Travis Scott, King L, Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, John Legend, James Blake and many more.

RUMOR MILL: Is Kanye West Re-Recording ‘Yeezus’ In Its Entirety?
I don’t normally pay that much attention to rumors, but the combination of J. Cudder and our new devotion to checking out KanyeToThe.com for updates has me on edge about this Yeezus album, and now I see this in AllHipHop’s Rumors section:
Word on the streets is that Kanye is actually making an attempt at re-recording Yeezus because of the lukewarm reception to the first songs? I’m not sure. I have not really heard those songs. As far as I know they aren’t on iTunes and have not been sent around. But, I think the second rumor is more feasible. And, that rumor says that Yeezy is adding some additional songs that are more commercially viable. Everything can’t be dark and gloomy songs about slaves and black skinheads. Insiders say that Kanye isn’t scared or anything. He’s just doing what he does to create the best product possible.
Remember folks: this is just a rumor that I simply wanted to bring to anyone’s attention that missed it.

REAL OR FAKE: Kanye West’s Real Album Cover For ‘Yeezus’?
Chances are this is fake, but I figure I’ll entertain the rumor, courtesy of Illseed:
Kanye West just has a flair for staying relevant on a number of fronts. And today is no different. It seems like somebody has leaked an image that could be fan made or Yeezus made. Nevertheless it seems like people are taking to this depiction as Yeezus Christ. Do you think there is a chance in hell that this is real?
Kanye West “Yeezus” No Pre Order Album Ad
Jean Touitou of A.P.C. Paris has given us another look at Kanye West‘s Yeezus album artwork in the form of an ad featuring the album’s disc in packaging that doesn’t have the melting gold seen in previous Yeezus album packaging images that surfaced the net.
The new ad features the Yeezus album disc with nothing but copyright text on it in an empty jewel case…or what appears to be an empty jewel case covered with red tape with the album’s title. The ad also shows the June 18th release date, and says there will be no pre orders: please purchase. You can check out the full ad below.
Kanye West Wanted To Be On Tyler, The Creator’s Album; Tyler Turned Him Down
Not really that crazy, although I’m sure the opportunity to get Kanye West on your record is damn near mythical at this point. From Complex:
Tyler, the Creator says he was offered an additional feature on his Wolf single “IFHY” from Kanye West.
However, according to his answer via Formspring, he turned down Ye’s offer and just kept the vocals from Pharrell.
Tyler said: “cause it was mine. he wanted to be on IFHY too! but i was like, nah hahaha. ye is soo awesome, i talk to him almost everyday it seems like. its cool to have someone you can level with about art and everything else.”
He also confirmed that he will not be appearing on Kanye’s upcoming album Yeezus.

Well….that was pretty anti-climatic for folks in the area, wasn’t it?
Apparently, the Baltimore Police Department have caught wind of the planning screening for Kanye West’s ‘New Slaves’ projection and made sure that it wasn’t going to happen before it could even take place. This is not a far cry from the shut down that happened in Houston.

Kanye West Projection In Houston Shut Down By Police
I guess something this big couldn’t go off without a hitch……Houston police shut down Kanye West’s screening of ‘New Slaves’ when they forced the crowds to disperse on the grounds of trespassing. Ah well, guess they can enjoy it on the internet like the rest of us.
Kanye West’s Video Projection Hitting More Cities This Weekend

In an announcement made this afternoon (May 24) via Twitter, Chicago wordsmith Kanye West revealed the locations of “New Slaves” video projections that will take place throughout this weekend in 24 different cities around the world.
Among the cities in the United States that will be treated to projections from the rapper are Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Diego, and Austin.
The G.O.O.D. Music emcee first premiered “New Slaves” last weekend when the music video for the Yeezus song was projected onto 66 buildings in cities across the globe.
