Kanye West Settles Case With Beverly Hills Beating Victim

KanyeWestNov2013_large

TMZ reports:

The guy Kanye West beat up in the waiting room of a Beverly Hills chiropractor hit the jackpot … scoring a settlement of MORE THAN $250,000 … TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the negotiations tell us … the young man who allegedly hurled racial epithets at Kim earlier this month has agreed to the civil settlement and now feels satisfied enough that he does NOT want to go forward with a criminal prosecution.

Law enforcement sources tell us … the D.A. has not decided whether to charge Kanye with battery. The reality is … there’s almost no chance of that happening. First, the D.A. now has an uncooperative victim. Second, the victim’s alleged racial epithets will not sit well with the jury. And there are probably lots of Kanye fans in the jury pool.

We’re told during the settlement negotiations the victim’s demand soared to the upper 6 figures, so $250K is just a fraction.

We called Kanye’s civil lawyer, Shawn Holley for comment … but we got nothin’.

Nevertheless … we’re calling it case closed.

T-Pain Reveals That Kanye West Wrote A Diss Track Aimed At Him

From Vlad TV:

T-Pain elaborates on why he said he wouldn’t buy Kanye West a gift after the birth of his daughter, explaining that when he was working on “808’s & Heartbreak,” Kanye penned a diss track aimed at specifically at him. To make matters worse, he reveals that the “Mercy” rapper got the entire studio to join in on the song while T-Pain sat in agony.

The “Up Down” rapper also shares his thoughts on Kanye’s line of Confederate flag clothing that was sold during his “Yeezus” tour, explaining that he’s not too worked up over it. Being from Florida, T-Pain claims that he wore Confederate shirts when he was younger because they were cheaper, adding that he’s from a younger generation that wasn’t concerned with the meaning of the flag.

Kanye West Gets Slammed By PETA (Again)

kanyefur

Kanye West was seen in a new fur heading to the Givenchy show in Paris during Fashion Week. Naturally, PETA had this to say about Kanye West:

“Kanye has only to lie down, and he’d be mistaken for roadkill in all that skin and fur. This isn’t a style that the public has embraced since the caveperson era. Kanye may be admired for his music, but he and his fiancée are vulgar dressers and callous when it comes to the suffering of living beings other than themselves.”

“Youngsters naturally identify and empathize with animals – so even though Kim and Kanye will undoubtedly serve as poor examples when it comes to kindness toward animals, perhaps their child will take after aunt Khloe and choose kindness by rejecting fur.”

PETA previously had some words regarding a pretty bold statement Kanye made to the organization in the track ‘Way Too Cold’ (formerly titled ‘Theraflu‘).

Eyewitness: Kanye West Hit Man 30 Times Who Insulted Kim

0114-kanye-west-kim-kardashian-3

TMZ reports:

Kanye West was like a boxer going in for the kill … pummeling an 18-year old guy with more than 30 blows … this according to an eyewitness.

We broke the story … an 18-year-old allegedly called Kim a “n****r lover” on his way into the office of a Beverly Hills chiropractor. Minutes later, Kim and Kanye stormed in — Kim ID the kid — and her baby daddy went nuts.

The eyewitness tells TMZ … the 18-year-old was sitting in a chair as Kanye made a beeline for him and, without saying a word, started slugging him in the face. The kid was covering his face but Kanye was unrelenting. Kim just stood there and silently watched the beating.

The receptionist was screaming, “Stop, stop,” but Kanye ignored her. The kid quickly curled up into a ball to block the blows.

The massage therapist rushed into the waiting room and pushed Kanye off the kid and ordered him out of the office. Kanye got out of the building and Kim went to another office for a meeting.

Kanye West Allegedly Assaults 18-Year-Old Man For Calling Kim K. A “N****r Lover”

0113-kanye-west-fight-x17-3

TMZ reports:

Kanye and Kim were at a Beverly Hills medical building when they were swarmed by photogs. We’re told the guy allegedly said to Kim, “F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs”” — referring to the paparazzi. Kim then told him it was not appropriate to use the N-word. We’re told he then screamed at her, “F**k you bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut.”

Apparently that got Kim hot as fish grease … she watched the guy walk into an office. A short time later Kanye arrived and went into the office.

Sources say Kanye and Kim rushed into the waiting room of chiropractor Richard Hill and found the 18-year-old sitting there. Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, “We have it all on tape.”

Sources say the massage therapist in the office separated the 2 men. Beverly Hills cops were called and the 18-year-old said he wanted to press charges.

T-Pain Speaks On Future Using AutoTune & Influencing Kanye West

From Vlad TV:

T-Pain clarified statements about Future not using auto-tune correctly, explaining that no other artist out right now knows the technology better than himself. He then begins to explain the history of why auto-tune was invented, which came from knowledge straight from the creator, whom he also met.

T-Pain also speaks about working with Kanye on “808’s & Heartbreaks’ in Hawaii, but admits he was upset over all the praise that Kanye got, because he felt that “Rapper Turned Singer” was the same album. When asked about working on Kanye’s “Good Life” track, T-Pain admits that it was one of the hardest songs he’s ever worked on.

Kanye West Sends Cease & Desist To The Creators Of Coinye Currency

coinye-west

AllHipHop reports:

According to the Wall Street Journal, lawyers for West sent the papers to seven anonymous coders responsible for the online money featuring the likeness of Ye. The people behind Coinye so far have refused to back down and are moving forward with their monetary plan. They have even transferred their website to a domain registered in India.

“We want to release this to the public before the man can try to crush it,” one of the coders texted to the WSJ. “They’ll still come after us, but that’s OK.”

Kanye’s attorney Brad Rose has demanded the coders stop using the name or any variation of it, hand over their website ,and deactivate all social media sites featuring the tag Coinye. Rose says West also plans to “pursue all legal remedies against any business that accepts the purported Coinye West currency.”

Child Star Accuses Kanye West Of Stealing Samples For ‘Bound 2’

Looks like that obvious sample that Kanye snatched for the best song on Yeezus (and the worst video from Yeezus) wasn’t authorized, and the source of the sample is crying foul. From TMZ:

The guy behind the lawsuit is Ricky Spicer — an ex-member of the ’70s soul group, “Ponderosa Twins Plus One” … which recorded a song called “Bound” back in 1970.

Spicer, who was 12 years old when he laid down the track, says he recently heard Kanye’s new hit on the radio and IMMEDIATELY recognized his old work.

Problem is … Spicer says he never granted Kanye (or anyone affiliated with Kanye) permission to use his voice … so on Monday, he filed a lawsuit in Manhattan.

Ricky is suing the rapper’s labels for allegedly stealing his vocals … and is demanding West stop using the song and pay him an unspecified amount of money.

Just listen to the song … the Ponderosa Twins’ ditty is clearly the main sample on “Bound 2” — and Kanye’s title suggests his version is a sequel to the original.

But this ain’t Kanye’s first rodeo when it comes to sampling music (see: Stronger, Gold Digger, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, etc.) … and it’s unlikely he would just jack the tune without trying to obtain the rights.

Kanye West Brings Out Drake During Second ‘Yeezus’ Show In Toronto

During the second show of Yeezus‘ Toronto tour stop, Kanye broke out of character to bring out hometown hero Drake, who (along with ‘Ye) performed ‘Forever’ and his street hit ‘All Me’. You can check out more below….I can’t help but wonder how Kendrick Lamar feels about inadvertently opening for his competition (a better question: have they met up and talked backstage)?
