Kanye West released the Season zine containing photos for his “Yeezy Season One” collection for Adidas Originals. He collaborated with photographer Jackie Nickerson for his latest foray beyond music. The photos contain a lot of nudity and pictures of trash and other assorted images. The world waits for this latest release (of clothes) but is it art? The images are available for download at www.seasonzine.com.

28 minutes of uncut footage, outtakes, interviews and more on the “B-Sides” from Stones Throw’s Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton documentary which is a must watch. Oh and there is a Kanye West interview that starts at and comes back in at various points 21:44. I included some excerpts below.
Kanye- “It’s amazing: How could we lose Biggie, Pac, Dilla, Steve Jobs, Michael Jackson? It almost feels like the Devil’s winning,” West says. “We gotta make music and think, ‘If Dilla was alive, would he like this?’ I have to work on behalf of Dilla. When I put a weird-ass Jamaican sample, it works at first but it’s not until I put the [makes discordant musical noise] that it sounds like art or sounds slightly wrong. And now it’ll go to the radio now that it’s wrong, motherfucker. Now play this. Play this 5-minute song that completely fucks up your programming. The best respect that we can pay to great artists that have inspired us so much is to never sell out.”

G.O.O.D. Music producer/DJ Hudson Mohawke has been playing unreleased Kanye tracks at live shows for some time now, especially earlier versions of “Bound 2”. This is likely the first time someone has gotten footage of the full track, which is said to have been recorded before Rick Rubin began work on the project. The original track has a different beat, some changes in the vocals and an alternate outro. It would be truly nice if someone leaked the sessions from Yeezus…
Kanye jumps on “Drunk In Love” and raps about sex for a minute and a half (which is essentially all this song — and most of Beyonce’s new album — is about).
The Source reports:
Kanye West…made his way to the Shade 45 building to appear on Sway in the Morning. Sway and Yeezy spoke on his last shows in NYC, A Tribe Called Quest, and working with Jay Z.
Mid-way through the interview, Sway questioned Kanye about his fashion endeavors and asked “Why don’t you empower yourself, and do it yourself?” Kanye lost it.
Kanye: How, Sway!? You ain’t got the answers, Sway! I been doing this more than you! You ain’t been doing the education! You don’t have the answers, though, because you tryna give me advice about something. You ain’t spend $13 million a year tryna empower yourself…What’s the name of yo clothing line? We don’t know… I just told you I lost the money ’cause I didn’t have the knowledge of how to do it the right way!
Sway: Okay, so you don’t have money to do it. That’s yo answer. You ain’t gotta turn up, man. This ain’t no f*cking show, man.
Eventually things cooled down and they resolved everything but Kanye’s turn-up definitely topped his previous interviews today. Listen to Yeezus go off on Sway here.

For Odd Future’s annual “Carnival” concert in LA, Kanye West had a surprise appearance. performing “New Slaves” and “Late” from Late Registration to an amazed crowd. Footage of performances of both songs is below…

Bannon the beatsmith reworks Kanye West’s “Bound 2”, taking heavily from Charlie Wilson’s chorus to construct a jungle-influenced track that works surprisingly well. Bannon’s Place Crusher EP came out October 9th, go grab that.
According to TMZ, Kanye West played the wedding of the grandson of the president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Nazarbayev is reportedly a corrupt dictator worth billions, as well as a frequent violator of human rights and political freedoms (CBS). Perhaps Kanye should be more like the controversial revolutionary he once wished to be and less like the reality TV star he has now become. Pictures below.

According to the LA Times:
“The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office on Friday declined to file felony assault and attempted robbery charges against the singer and referred the issue to the L.A. city attorney to see if the incident warranted a misdemeanor charge.”
Watch the original footage here.
The original video, found by Fake Shore Drive via Gawker has been taken down, but here is another video with some commentary over it. I honestly like it, I would watch it.

Vice President of Nappy Roots Entertainment Group, Jonathan Hay; “We’ve had this song with Kanye West for exactly ten years now. I’ve wanted to re-produce this song for a long time because I’ve always felt it was never done justice by us. I’m not saying this because I’m biased, but it has always been one of my favorite Kanye West tracks of all-time. It desperately needed to be revisited. I’m sure Kanye will be much happier with the song this time around.”
Ten years ago, superstar Kanye West was in the studio with the Grammy-nominated Nappy Roots for the follow up to their Atlantic Records debut Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz – one of the biggest selling rap albums of the year. West was producing a song for their next album and was in the studio to help them choose a track to write to and record. While listening to several of West’s productions, the group ran across an instrumental that immediately jumped out to them, but to their dismay, West told them that he already had plans for that song and he intended to keep that track for his own Roc-A-Fella Records debut album The College Dropout. The guys continued to press on about how much they wanted that particular song and tried to convince West to let them to use it on their album instead of “These Walls”, but West stuck to his guns. That track later became one of his career-defining singles “Jesus Walks”.

Yesterday, D Dot dropped two Kanye West demos from the College Dropout era, an alternate version of “All Falls Down” and a different version of “Bring Me Down” entitled “Have It Your Way”. You can stream both demos and read what D Dot had to say about them below.
There’s also an original version of “Bring Me Down” which is labeled “Have It Your Way”, both of these demos are believed to date back to 2001. Again with noticeably different lyrics, a more aggressive Kanye, the second verse on “Have It Your Way” – some of the lines were later used on “Whole City Behind Us”. Take a listen to the vintage Yeezy below.

Pusha T was reportedly shooting a video for ‘Numbers On The Boards‘ today and got a cameo from none other than G.O.O.D. Music head honcho Kanye West. More pictures below.

Kanye releases a trailer for his short film Cruel Winter. A speech from former President George H.W. Bush is what you hear in the background. I got this from the Fader, but I think their analysis of the trailer is pretty lacking. It’s not “weird” that Kanye used a clip from a George H.W. Bush speech because Kanye spoke out against his son…
.
Here is another Cruel Summer leak to make everyone want the album even more. R. Kelly joins Kanye on this upbeat track with hard drums. enjoy.
