Taken from Big Boi’s recently announced new album Boomiverse. Very hype about this one. UPDATE: Big Boi also performed his other new single ‘Mic Jack’ on Jimmy Fallon; that’s been added below.

Killer Mike Tries To Run As Write-In For Georgia State Representative; Turns Out He Couldn’t, Anyway
From CNN:
A local election in Georgia got a jolt of excitement Monday when the rapper Killer Mike threw his hat in the ring.
But it turned out to be the shortest campaign in history — or the longest, depending on how you look at it.
With the slogan “If I win, We Win,” Killer Mike made his campaign announcement on Instagram to his 110,000 followers.
“In Atlanta Georgia there will be special election tomorrow for District 55,” he wrote, referring to a state house district. “I would like as many people as possible to go to the polls and write in Michael Render.”
Render is his real name.
Local politicos quickly took to social media to point out that he couldn’t run as a write-in candidate without filing the necessary paperwork.
But the announcement also got a lot of love, both from the media and from fellow Atlanta rap luminary Big Boi, who shared the news on his Facebook page.
Five hours after he posted his initial plea for votes, Killer Mike posted a video on Instagram saying he didn’t have the paperwork and he couldn’t stand as a write-in. Like any good candidate, he thanked his supporters and urged people to cast a vote “for a qualified candidate.”
Killer Mike Speaks Out On Mike Brown/Ferguson During St. Louis Concert
Run The Jewels recently made a tour stop in St. Louis, Missouri, and given the news from Ferguson nearby, it was only natural for Killer Mike to address some real issues concerning injustice in this country while on stage.
Killer Mike – Sunday Morning Massacres (Mixtape)
While this is in no way new (in fact, these dropped before JUKEBOXDC even existed), Greg Street was cool enough to put together Killer Mike’s classic Sunday Morning Massacres series for one dope mixtape (and some annoying skits). Stream and download below.
Killer Mike & Action Bronson Battle Each Other On Treadmills
Hopefully we can get this up soon, but Killer Mike and Action Bronson decided to freestyle against eachother while running on treadmills…this would only make sense on a show like The Eric Andre Show.
ALBUM STREAM: Killer Mike & El-P – Run The Jewels 2
Thanks to Killer Mike and El-P, we’re able to enjoy their collaboration sequel a few days before the album’s planned release. In addition to the stream, we’ve also included a video clip of the two for the fans below.
Run The Jewels – Album Sessions with the Fader (Video)
The Fader trekked up an hour and a half outside New York City to watch El-P and Killer Mike record their second collaborative album;
Over the summer, we drove up to Garrison, NY to hang out with Killer Mike and El-P in the idyllic country recording compound where they were holed up hammering out RTJ2, their second album as Run the Jewels. As Killer Mike put it to us on camera, standing before a row of stately conifer trees, it was a pretty unlikely setting for the streetwise rappers to record: “The process of doing the album out here in the middle of nowhere is strange,” he said. “There’s no sex clubs and drugs and violence, and it’s pretty peaceful and serene. And that’s kind of not what Run the Jewels is about.” Still, as El-P described the woodshedding session, it was pretty much business as usual for the duo, who also cut their self-titled debut there: “Constant inebriation, consistent and potentially unhealthy marijuana intake, the occasional psychedelic journey, and we just rap our asses off.” RTJ2 is out on Mass Appeal on October 28th, but you to tide you over, we put together a behind-the-scenes experience of all the jamming, bickering, and brotherly love that went into it. Plus, catch that vibe live on the upcoming, ginormous Run the Jewels tour.

Killer Mike & El-P – Meow The Jewels (Trailer)
What the fuck? Mass Appeal says;
Thanks to all the fans who supported the Run The Jewels’ Meow the Jewels Kickstarter campaign, the cat sound-infused album is officially becoming a reality. Having reached the $45,100 goal with 11 days to spare, the campaign currently stands at $54,286.
What began as a joke has grown into a real project featuring an impressive list of collaborators including Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, Just Blaze, Zola Jesus, Dan the Automator, Alchemist, Baauer, Prince Paul, Boots, Nick Hook, skywlkr, and Solidified Sun. While there’s currently no release date for Meow The Jewels, we’re all about to be blessed with a reworked version of RTJ2 featuring nothing but cat sounds sometime in the near future.
A unique project like this deserves an equally epic trailer, so watch the clip in the player above which features clips from movies such as Big Trouble in Little China, Pulp Fiction, a bunch of B-Rated movies, and a shitload of cats. The clip was created by Brooklyn-based artist Hectah, and you can find out more about the man behind the trailer here.
RTJ2 will be available on October 27 at all your favorite record stores, as well as in CD, LP and digital form via Mass Appeal Records. Preorder the album here, check tour dates below, and purchase tickets here.
Run The Jewels – Oh My Darling Don’t Cry

Rick Ross Feat. Stalley, Gunplay & Killer Mike – Black & White (Remix)
Rick Ross decided to use his original Mastermind cut ‘Black & White’ (or ‘BLK & WHT’) to speak on what’s happening in Ferguson, Missouri. He’s assisted by MMG rappers Stalley and Gunplay alongside (who better to speak on this topic than) Killer Mike.
Killer Mike Writes Essay About Michael Brown, Police Violence
We are human beings. We deserve to be buried by our children not the other way around. No matter how u felt about black people look at this mother and look at this father and tell me as a human being how u cannot feel empathy for them. How can u not feel sympathy for their pain and loss. These are not ‘THOTS, niggas/niggers, hoes, Ballers, Divas.’ These two people are parents. They are humans that produced a child and loved that child and that child was slaughtered like Game and left face down as public spectacle while his blood drained down the street.
Look at the pain of this mother; look into her eyes. Look at the man behind her. Look at that father made helpless and hurt that he cud not defend his seed. Don’t debate. Don’t insert your agenda. Save me the bullshit Black On Black Crime speech and look at these two Noble creatures called humans and look at what govt-sanctioned murder has done. It has robbed them of their humanity and replaced it with pain and shame, suffering and hurt.
I don’t care if others rioted or why. I don’t care that ballplayers and rappers are what they shud be. I care that we as humans care as much about one another more. I care we see past Class, race and culture and honor the humanity that unites our species. Stop talking and LOOK at these PEOPLE. LOOK at these HUMANS and stand with them against a system allows a Human PIG to slaughter their child. Forgive any typos love and respect u all.

Scotty ATL – OTR2SJ EP (Presented by Scion)
Before dropping Spaghetti Junction, Scotty and Scion team up for an Extended Play to hold the fans over. The production is mostly from DJ Burn One so expect a little trap, some “Country Rap” and a bunch of great instrumentation. Scotty’s lyricism is on point as well, with great guest spots from Killer Mike and Rich The Kid. I really wish these songs weren’t clean though…download here

Run The Jewels (El-P & Killer Mike) – 36″ Chain (Video); Upcoming Tour Dates
The debut video from El-P & Killer Mike’s new album, Run the Jewels.
Run The Jewels is El-P and Killer Mike, and the 3rd member is arguably Mr. Killums – the deviant rodent-star of El-P’s last 2 videos – who’s kidnapped in the clip below. It’s equal parts Charles Bronson in “Deathwish” and LL Cool J circa “I’m Bad,” as El and Mike brutally (and questionably) fight to rescue their furry, demented companion. Andrew WK, Amber Tamblyn and more partake in this heartwarming tale of friendship, family values and redemption.
Directed by Timothy Saccenti
Produced by GAREN!
