UPDATE: ….and now we know who that person was. Mack Maine. And according to TMZ, he will be formerlly charged with assault and sexual battery:

Rapper Mack Maine WILL be charged with sexual battery and assault for allegedly groping a female and then punching her female friend on Lil Wayne’s tour bus last week … officials tell TMZ.

TMZ broke the story … Maine has been accused of inviting the alleged victims onto Wayne’s tour bus following a concert in OKC last week. While on the bus, one woman claims Maine stuck his hand down her shirt and squeezed her breast without consent.

The woman claims she slapped Maine and tried to get off the bus, along with her female friend … but Maine was so upset, he blocked the door and punched the friend in the face, breaking her jaw.

The D.A. tells TMZ it’s unclear WHEN they will file the charges against Maine, but officials say it’s just of matter of time.

T.I. has already spoken about the incident, claiming that he knew nothing about it and that nobody of the sort came aboard his bus. From TMZ:

More drama for the Lil Wayne/2 Chainz/T.I. tour buses — law enforcement sources tell TMZ, a female fan says she was invited on board one of the vehicles after the show in OKC this week … and an entourage member punched her in the face, breaking her jaw.

The alleged attacker isn’t named in the police report — but the victim says her jaw was broken in two places … and the damage is so bad she required surgery to repair it, and her jaw is now wired shut for six weeks while it heals. The victim says she’ll be on a liquid diet for the entire time.

Here’s the story … the victim told police, the unidentified entourage member had been hitting on her during the concert … and invited her on board one of the rappers’ buses after the show.

The victim says she took the guy up on his offer — but when she showed up with her girlfriend, he stuck his hand down her shirt and grabbed her breast.

The victim says she slapped his hand away and he turned around and punched her in the jaw, sending her flying out of the bus door. She says she landed on her back on the pavement with blood pouring out of her mouth.

According to the police report, the entourage member ran off, and the victim was taken to the hospital.

A rep for the Oklahoma City PD tells TMZ, the incident is under investigation. So far, no arrests have been made.

FYI, the incident allegedly occurred just hours before police searched 2 Chainz’ tour bus for drugs … and arrested the rapper.

Juvenile, Mannie Fresh & Turk Perform Cash Money Tribute With Birdman & Lil’ Wayne In Attendance

Looks like everyone is cool again! Birdman, Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj scored BMI Icon Awards recently, and prior to accepting said awards, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and Turk performed Cash Money classics for their former label family (other members, such as DJ Khaled, were also in attendance). Lil’ Wayne even joined in on the performance….definitely a dope site to see. Additional clips below (including Trina’s honoring of the aforementioned Nicki Minaj).

Maybe we’ll get those official Big Tymers and Hot Boys reunion albums after all.

DMC Did Not Diss JAY Z & Lil Wayne (Or So He Says)

dmc1

I missed this, but apparently there are some rumors that DMC dissed Hov & Weezy (alleged quotes can be found here). DMC has since responded to those allegations by way of Illseed and AllHipHop, which you can read in full below:

I could never DISS Lil Wayne or Jay Z!

They are very good and successful at what they do! I would and could never disrespect either of these two men!

Their success is my success!

I love and respect Lil Wayne! He treats me well and is very very nice to me and my family!

And Jay Z inspired me and assured me that great Hip Hop will exist forever in all generations and eras when he dropped Hard Knock Life, which one of my favorite Hip Hop songs ever! Hard Knock is incredible to me!

After reading the negative comments coming at all of us, I had to personally apologize to my two fellow artist!

I do not like negative shit! I cannot tolerate anything that will divide us and our Hip Hop Culture!

The power is in Wayne, D and Jay standing side by side representing this sacred culture together! No matter how “different” we may be!

Now with that being said, the point I was trying to make is that Jay and Wayne(and even me when I was on radio all day) aren’t the only ones that are so called “hot” because there is a lot of talent that may be just as “hot” and even better, but they don’t get heard on the radio.

All I’m saying is a DJ should be able to discover an incredible ass rapper in any city state or country today, and be able to come on the air tomorrow, and play that song…but he or she can’t…because of programming!

Fan Throws Ice At Lil’ Wayne During Concert In New Jersey; Weezy Was Not Pleased

Above, you can watch some footage of Lil Wayne talking to the crowd at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey last night for a stop on his America’s Most Wanted music festival.

During Weezy’s speech, someone in the audience throws some ice at him to which Wayne then responded with: “Don’t throw no ice at me homie, because listen, not none of these security, none of these niggas around me, it will be me that fucks you up!”

Birdman Speaks On Reebok & Mountain Dew Dropping Rick Ross & Lil’ Wayne Over Lyrics

From MTV:

The #1 Stunna feels so strongly about his current artists and their music that on Wednesday’s episode of “RapFix Live,” he revealed he’d considered a boycott against Mountain Dew and Reebok, when the companies dropped Wayne and Rick Ross, respectively, over controversial lyrics. (While Ross is not signed to Cash Money, he and Birdman are close friends and frequent collaborators.)

“Really, we could’ve reversed that [termination of endorsement deals] because my whole take was, ‘Since they wanna clown, I can clown and group all my people up.’ But on the respect I have for Swizz [Beatz, a Reebok partner], that’s why I didn’t clown,” Birdman told Sway. “I could’ve put all my people together and say, ‘Now my culture and my community, we’re not supportin’ y’all.’ ”

Back in April, Reebok broke off their deal with Rick Ross after he spit some lyrics on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” that conjured up images of rape for some listeners. The sneaker deal was one that hip-hop producer and Cash Money friend Swizz had helped to broker. PepsiCo.-backed Mountain Dew also severed ties with Wayne after outcry over his sexual reference to Civil Rights icon Emmett Till on Future’s “Karate Chop.”

“Does it make you be more conscious of what you say? It shouldn’t because we should be able to say what we want, man,” he reasoned. “We look at it different, but apology-wise? I don’t know about all that. It’s not nothing we’re intentionally trying to do — harm or hurt — we’re just considering ourselves. When we’re in the lab, we’re just doin’ music, not conscious of what I say might affect you or a deal.

Birdman says he wouldn’t apologize for any of his lyrics and the next time one of his artists come under fire from a corporate entity, he’s ready to flex his muscle. “Next time, we’re gonna stand up and we’re gonna shut that sh– down,” he threatened.
