During Mannie Fresh’s recent interview with NPR, the legendary New Orleans producer confirmed that he will be working on Lil Wayne’s upcoming “endgame”, Tha Carter V, which — along with Wayne’s return to lyricism — sounds like a possible (future) classic in the making.

Another topic brought up was his long-awaiting collaboration with Mos Def. The duo, dubbed OMFGOD, seem to finally be headed toward a completed project. To the surprise of listeners in the audience, Mannie Fresh also played a new track from the two, titled ‘Let’s Go’ (we’ll drop that one as soon as we can). Needless to say, Fresh is definitely bringing some bars out of Yasiin Bey.

Other topics included the current state of Hip-Hop, old school equipment versus new technology, how Katrina affected New Orleans’ culture and more (he also hates AutoTune). Stay tuned for the full interview from NPR.

Juelz Santana Talks Working With Lil’ Wayne On….

….well, we don’t know what yet. It could be some collaborative work on Tha Carter V, or — just maybe — it could be the long-long-awaited I Can’t Feel My Face. From VIBE:

Weezy has said that his next album, Tha Carter V, will be his final solo album, but the N’awlins rapper has never ruled out collaborative projects. Which is where Juelz comes in.

“Wayne told me to come out to L.A.,” Juelz said, while on set for the filming of Avian’s Dipset-featured song, “Billboard Bitch.” “I’m definitely looking forward to going out there and getting some things done. I don’t know what those things exactly are going to be yet.”
