Wale took to Instagram to respond to his call-out Meek Mill’s wild Twitter rant today. After reposting an old pic of him promoting Meek’s album, Folarin wrote a rambling paragraph about Meek, himself, MMG, who he is and more. You can view that below;

Few weeks ago. (7w) I posted this .but ok. Movin along . My Avi always changed when it’s THAT time .. Ok that’s not enough y’all see “razor ramon ” post on his no. But I don’t care.. I wrote a long ass post day before his single dropped .. Mariah record dropped nobody said a word I didn’t care .. I still don’t… I carry myself with confidence and humility ., I always try to have a lighter side to MMG.. Cuz I understand I don’t “fit the mold” so if I’m tryna spruce an interview up to show that we not tryn be “serious tough guys” on the red carpet Or try to be a bit more engaging to broaden our audience forgive me . I never wanted anybody to think we take ourselves THAT serious. (Were rappers )I don’t need to take anybody shine.. Or hate on anybody . I walk in a completely different world .. Where I look for slp jeans and Shanghai dunks online and know what “kayfabe” means. I check nbadraft.net daily . I’m on whatculture allll day I enjoy shyt like that. I play fuckin Zelda and fuck wit bitches who teach yoga and paint… I get it . I’m different . I always embrace that shyt.. I encourage y’all to embrace what y’all like or the person y’all wanna be.. I text niggas happy Father’s Day and get no reply .. I laugh it off .. I laugh at how I write songs about “chain music” and y’all get lost or “600benzz” i like to have fun with our culture. Because I beleive I add THAT to a “gangster rap” faction. I made my opportunity work for me that way. I write poems . I watch wwe . I collect kicks. I’m sensitive ok. Maybe bi polar. But one thjng I’m not is a hater.. I see Daquan jokes all day yesterday and patted myself on the back that I’m regarded as the aforementioned adjectives and not “Daquan”. I’m me and I’ll be me and do this shyt wit my “dew” till I don’t wanna do it. I encourage you to wake up soon as you find time. This was a post about #nothin ✊

BEEF: Meek Mill Blasts Wale, Labels Him As Jealous

I really don’t need to say much here, but it doesn’t change the fact that were kind of shocked to see a rift between these two MMG artists go public like this. There’s no doubt that we will be seeing or hearing a response from the D.C. artist at some point (and, subsequently, Rick Ross and others on the roster), but for now you can check out these scathing Twitter remarks from Meek Mill. Damn.

Rico Love Explains Situation Regarding Tiara Thomas, Wale (Video)

The issue has been addressed a few times before by all parties, but during a visit to Sway In The Morning, Rico Love spoke on the evident triangle that is him, his artist Tiara Thomas and Thomas’ former mentee Wale.

Rico Love, is a singer-songwriter and producer who was behind hit records such as Usher’s There Goes My Baby and Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home), as well as Beyoncé Knowles’ Sweet Dreams, just to name a few.

His latest project? Tiara Thomas — the recognizable female voice on Wale’s hit, Bad.

There has been rumors of beef and betrayal between Rico Love, Tiara Thomas and Wale — and Rico stopped by Sway in the Morning to clear the air.

“I met her [through Wale’s partner], and the first thing I said was, ‘Why Wale didn’t sign her?’ She’s amazing, I can’t believe this.” Love tells Sway in the Morning.

“I ended up offering her a contract, we negotiated on the contract.” Rico explained. “After we negotiated, she gave ‘Bad’ to Wale on his mixtape. No one ever said this was gonna be Wale’s single.”

He goes on to explain how Wale’s emotion makes him a genius, “but sometimes that can hurt you when you don’t know how to separate it,” in reference to business deals.

“It got so bad where his assistant was on the line threatening her and a bunch of stuff like that.”

Wale Speaks On Every Blue Moon

screen-shot-2014-01-22-at-3-43-12-pm

Wale sits down with MTV and speak more on his Every Blue Moon brand (that he launched a few months ago)  that will include artists and designers.

“Every Blue Moon is my imprint. It’s not just for recording artists. We’re collaborating with painters. I’ve collaborated with [visual artist] Jay West. He’s not signed to me, but I’ve collaborated with him. We’re gonna do a lot of stuff in the fashion world, as well. I’m working with my man Brock Korsan, he’s A&Ring the project, along with Dallas Martin. And I’m doing a lot of things with Nicky Diamonds. I just wanna affect the culture and wanna be able to support young people with goals that aren’t just limited to rapping and producing.”

Wale Releases Statement Regarding WWE Incident

This statement was released by MTV regarding Wale’s recent incident with a heckler at a D.C. taping of WWE’s Raw:

“It was just a dude that was like, ‘I’mma kick your ass. I better not see you here. I was like, ‘Yo, is this you?’ And one thing lead to another, and I just kind of mushed him a little bit,” the rapper explained, stressing that things didn’t turn violent. “Honestly, if there wasn’t kids right there, it would have went a little bit differently, but I just wanted to be conscious of them. It’s not to say it was the right decision. But in the moment, you know.”

“People get it misconstrued,” he went on. “Like, ‘Oh, you’re so butt-hurt.’ It’s not even that. I come from a place where when we was at the lunch table and n—as was jonesing on each other, I’ll respond. I’m gonna have something better, too. And now we’ve come to a place where, if you respond, you’re a bitch. Somebody could say ‘F— you’ 100 times, if I say ‘f— you’ back, then I’m a bitch. And people be like, ‘You’re famous, you shouldn’t care. I care what people say because I try to be a man of the people.”

“I just don’t understand, [in] society, why we champion people like that in this day and age,” he said. “I remember when people used to admire real people that stand behind their words or are stand-up men. I come from that. I had to address him as such. It wasn’t nothing really serious.”

For the record, he was later spotted at a nightclub hanging with the Washington Redskins. Go figure.
