Freeway is undergoing dialysis after being diagnosed with kidney failure.

The Philadelphia rapper was diagnosed following a recent routine checkup with his physician.

Someone close to Free’s camp exclusively told REVOLT the rapper was rushed in for an emergency dialysis after the discovery. As of this writing, he is currently resting and expected to receive another round of the treatment tomorrow (September 18).

Plans for Freeway’s upcoming Free Fest showcase, originally set for Saturday (September 19), is subject to change.

Plies has responded to Young Thug’s threats regarding the video of Thug’s daughter posted on Plies’ Instagram. His response is even more heated than that of Thugger.

Plies has seen the video of Young Thug threatening him, and though Thug has since deleted the video, Plies is not happy, and he’s posted a heated video of his own.

Last night, Plies posted a video of Young Thug’s daughter saying, “I’m motherfuckin’ tired,” and wrote that those words reflected his mood at the time. Thug saw the clip and then issued a video threat directed at Plies on his own Instagram, warning the South Florida rapper that there would be serious problems if he didn’t remove the video by the end of the day. Plies has now responded to Thug’s threat, and he’s coming back at Thugger with violent words of his own.

Plies captioned his response to Thug by writing, “Ion Disrespect Nobody Children.” In the clip, he claims that he had no idea the little girl was Thug’s daughter, and he reaffirms that he posted the clip simply to reflect how he was feeling — “motherfuckin’ tired.”

He then addresses the way in which Thug threatened him: “If you had a problem with it, fuck n*gga, you ask me to take it down. You don’t threaten me to do nothing, pussy n*gga.”

Moses Malone Passes Away At 60

Former NBA great Moses Malone has died in his sleep in Norfolk, Va., according to multiple reports.

Malone committed to the University of Maryland, but was drafted by the Utah Stars of the ABA in 1974 and decided to go pro. He played a season with the Stars, a season with the Sprits of St. Louis before coming to the NBA in 1976.

He played for five seasons with the Houston Rockets before joining the Philadelphia 76ers in 1982. Teamed with Julius Erving, the Sixers won the 1982-83 NBA title. Malone averaged 31.9 points and 12.8 rebounds during the playoffs run.

In 1996, Malone was named one of the 50 greatest NBA players.

He was named NBA MVP in 1978-79, 1981-82 and 1982-83.

Alpo Martinez Has Reportedly Been Released From Prison

According to the website of the street wise publication Don Diva Magazine, 49 year old Alberto “Alpo” Martinez has been released from ADX Florence federal prison. According to the website, Martinez is currently in the federal witness protection program awaiting his identity.

It has been alleged that Martinez indirectly reached out to the publication’s owner and respected Harlem OG, Kevin Chiles, and requested to speak to him about him allegedly becoming an informant against Chiles, something which Martinez denies.

Alpo, whose life was replayed by Cam’ron in the movie Paid In Full, was to serve 35 years for 14 counts of murder when he was sentenced in November 1991. It has been confirmed that Martinez did turn informant on his enforcerWayne “Silk” Perry, who because of Martinez’s testimony, was handed down a life without parole sentence on a 27 count federal indictment.

The government has not confirmed any such release of Alberto Geddis Martinez.

50 Cent Sued For $200 Million Over ‘Power’

50 Cent has another creditor — aka “Plaintiff” who is suing the rapper for brashly stealing his show idea.

Larry Johnson claims he wrote a manuscript, “Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid,” and in 2005, sent it to Nikki Turner, who works for 50 at G-Unit Books. He says the book was eventually published elsewhere, but believes Nikki showed the manuscript to 50.

Johnson claims much to his horror, in 2014 Starz debuted “Power,” Fiddy’s show about a drug dealer who’s trying to go legit.

Johnson says it’s a carbon copy of his manuscript. In his book, the primary character has a goatee … ditto “Ghost” in “Power.” In fact, Johnson says he even uses the nickname “Ghost” as his pen name.
And Johnson says in his manuscript the main character’s best friend has a short fuse, just like Tommy in “Power.”

In Johnson’s manuscript the main character owns the hottest nightclub in Atlanta. In “Power,” Ghost has the hottest club in NYC.

Johnson is looking for $200 million to make things right.

DMX “Betrayed” As Son Sells Off His Platinum Records

DMX is indignant and hurt over what he considers supreme betrayal by his own son, who is selling the rapper’s platinum records while he sits in jail.

X’s son Xavier wants to jump-start his own music career with cash, and the cash cow was laying right in his closet. DMX lived with Xavier and his mom until 2007, when the woman threw X out. He left lots of stuff behind, including the platinum records.

Xavier put precious platinums for the albums “And Then There Was X” and “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood” on eBay for a total of $3,000.

X is livid, telling us it’s his stuff and not Xavier’s. What’s more, DMX says it shows supreme ingratitude … he says he took his baby mama out of the projects and got her a house next to Martha Stewart’s.

Young Dolph Arrested On Drug Charges

Yes, people still get arrested for marijuana (although, Dolph’s instance also involved other issues). From FOX 13:

A Memphis rapper has been jailed after being arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Adolph Thornton, also known as hip hop star Young Dolph, has been charged with possession of marijuana and violation of vehicle registration.

Police told FOX13 Thornton was stopped around 2:45 p.m. when an officer noticed a 2015 silver Rolls Royce driving on Airways without any tag information. While approaching the vehicle, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana.

When police checked Thornton’s information, they learned he had an active warrant out of Birmingham, Alabama. While the 30-year-old was being detained, the officer noticed what appeared to be marijuana and seeds on the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle.

Police told FOX13 the officer also found a small, clear bag filled with what appeared to be marijuana in Thornton’s left sock.

Adolph Thornton’s bond was set at $100 and he is set to appear before a judge Wednesday morning.

FOX13 has also learned Thornton was found guilty on two previous drug-related charges in 2013 and 2014.

Baltimore Reaches $6.4 Million Settlement With Freddie Gray’s Family

Derek Valcourt reports the mayor’s office confirms the city has reached a $6.4 million settlement with the family of Freddie Gray.

The mayor says the deal is in the best interest of the city, in part because it avoids a long legal battle in the civil court system that could end up costing taxpayers more in the long run.

The deal must still be approved with the city’s Board of Estimates at their next meeting Wednesday morning at 9.

The six Baltimore police officers charged in Freddie Gray’s death will see their court hearing this Thursday.

1 Death As Lil Durk’s Tour Bus Shot Up In Philly

Rapper Lil Durk’s tour bus was hit by gunfire in Philly as shots rang out before his concert, and one man is dead.

It happened Friday night outside the Theater of Living Arts. A man in his 20’s was fatally wounded and died at the hospital. An argument erupted before the shots rang out, but it’s unclear what the beef was about.

It’s also unclear why the tour bus was either targeted or accidentally hit.

The suspect fled in a limo but cops eventually got him. Three men were taken into custody and a handgun was recovered.

“Southern Rights” Group Plans Confederate Flag Rally Tomorrow in DC

According to a Facebook event post by a previously unknown “Southern Rights” group, a rally to support the Confederate flag is taking place tomorrow in Washington, D.C., near the Capitol. More from guest contributor B.R.;

A group known as “Protect the South” is calling for a pro-Confederate rally in the District this Saturday, September 5th. The rally will be held in Upper Senate Park at 11:00AM and 1,300 people claim they will attend on Facebook. These numbers are often unreliable, but this suggests that more than a few people will show up. The Facebook banner for the event features a crowd waving the Confederate battle flag.

The Confederate flag became the center of controversy this summer after white supremacist Dylan Roof murdered nine black churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17th. Roof posted pictures of himself waving the Confederate flag on his Facebook page. Black Lives Matter activists and pro-Confederate demonstrators have been dueling over the symbol all summer. South Carolina took the flag down from its state house grounds in July, after Bree Newsome took the flag down herself weeks earlier. KKK members and anti-racist protesters clashed in Columbia later that month.

No counter-demonstration seems to be planned at the time of this writing.

The “Protect the South” group has organized and attended other protests in the South, including a flag rally in Virginia and a protest to “Ban the NAACP” in Georgia. Most commenters on the Southern Heritage Rally page seemed to show their support for the event, while others expressed outrage. Potential rally attendees have also posted information about a motorcycle ride from the site of the famed Battle of Gettysburg, in Pennsylvania to D.C. to start the rally off. Interestingly, no major news organizations have written about this story, although a number of Facebook users have taken notice. An officer from the Capitol Police Special Events Unit confirmed that an event permit was obtained for part of Upper Senate Park tomorrow.

The king of Saudi Arabia made a royal entrance when he arrived in D.C. to meet with President Obama.

Dozens of cars awaited King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s arrival at Joint Base Andrews Thursday night.

After their arrival, the king and his entourage made their way to the Four Seasons where they booked every room! Guests at the hotel were forced to switch hotels after the king rented every room on every floor. Reports say he even brought his own luxury furnishings to the hotel, including red carpets and gold decorations.

According to Politico, when the king traveled to the French Riviera for 8 days last month, he brought with him a delegation of 1000 people and had a popular beach closed for his privacy.

King Salman and President Obama will have their first face to face meeting since the 79-year-old king assumed the throne earlier this year when his half-brother died.

Coming as an initiative to boost sales amid a three-year long domestic slump, the all-day menu is being rolled out under Steve Easterbrook, who joined as the company’s chief executive in March and has vowed to revitalize the fast food giant’s image. The reason for the prolonged wait is because, while the differing menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner can all be made on the same machines, they cannot be made at the same time — as such, the change to an all-day breakfast necessitates the acquisition of new equipment and processes.

Kevin Gates Charged With Battery For Kicking Female Fan

Kevin Gates has been charged with simple battery after “deliberately” kicking an 18-year-old woman during a recent concert in Florida, the Lakeland Police Department tells Billboard. ABC Action News first reported the news.

According to police, Gates (real name Kevin Jerome Gilyard) “turned and deliberately kicked [18-year-old Miranda] Dixon in the stomach/chest area” after she touched his pant leg during a concert on Friday.

The kick allegedly knocked Dixon back into the crowd and “caused her to lose consciousness for a brief period of time,” according to the press release. A police report on the incident indicates that Dixon wants to pursue charges against the 29-year-old rapper.

By the way: the fan in question has since spoken out about the incident.

Trick Daddy Files For Bankruptcy

Trick Daddy has filed for bankruptcy because, according to him … he’s got next to ZERO money in the bank, and his baby mama bills keep piling up.

The Miami rapper filed for Chapter 11 saying he’s got about $430k in assets – which sounds decent, except he’s also $645k in the red! Including: $34,837 child support to one mother, $22,282 to another, $290k in back taxes, and $280k for his first mortgage.

Interestingly, Trick Daddy says he still makes about $14,500 a month — most of it off music publishing and club gigs — and doesn’t live a baller lifestyle. Hell, TD says he only has $550 in clothes and jewelry!

So fiscally responsible. Outside of baby mamas and the IRS.
