And Now… Here’s Miley Cyrus Making Out With Katy Perry

Because, why not? From MTV:

Katy Perry had the best seat in the house on Saturday night during Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz Tour stop in Los Angeles. But that wasn’t good enough.

In addition to being in the front row while Cyrus was singing the ballad “Adore You,” Katy got the very special VIP treatment when Miley bent down into the expensive seats in the middle of the song and planted a big kiss on Perry’s mouth.

“I just kissed a girl and I really liked it a lot,” Miley said after the smooch. She later posted a picture of their not-so-private moment.

RECAP: Sochi Olympics Closing Ceremony

Sochi’s was the biggest Winter Olympics closing ceremony ever staged, according to organisers, a fitting send-off for a Games estimated to have cost £30 billion to stage – far more than any other Games Winter or Summer.

International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach gave Russia a resounding vote of confidence in his closing address.

“Tonight we can say: Russia delivered all what it had promised,” he said. “What took decades in other parts of the world was achieved here in Sochi in just seven years.”

Addressing the army of volunteers who helped guide athletes, reporters and visitors to their destinations, he said:

“Through you, everybody with an open mind could see the face of a new Russia: efficient and friendly, patriotic and open to the world. We arrived with great respect for the rich and varied history of Russia. We leave as friends of the Russian people.”

After Bach formally declared the Sochi Games closed, three giant mascots of the Games – a bear, a snow leopard and a hare – appeared and the bear blew out the Olympic flame.

A thousand children from the Pan-Russian Choir performed in a rousing finale symbolising the arrival spring, before choreographed fireworks exploded from the roof of the stadium. (AP/Telegraph)

Pentagon Plans To Shrink U.S. Army To Pre-World War II Levels

jp-PENTAGON-superJumbo

From the NY Times:

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel plans to shrink the United States Army to its smallest force since before the World War II buildup and eliminate an entire class of Air Force attack jets in a new spending proposal that officials describe as the first Pentagon budget to aggressively push the military off the war footing adopted after the terror attacks of 2001.

The proposal, released on Monday, takes into account the fiscal reality of government austerity and the political reality of a president who pledged to end two costly and exhausting land wars. A result, the officials argue, will be a military capable of defeating any adversary, but too small for protracted foreign occupations.

Officials who saw an early draft of the announcement acknowledge that budget cuts will impose greater risk on the armed forces if they are again ordered to carry out two large-scale military actions at the same time: Success would take longer, they say, and there would be a larger number of casualties. Officials also say that a smaller military could invite adventurism by adversaries.

Ukraine’s Interim Leader Speaks On Country’s Future

From BBC News:

Ukraine’s new interim President Oleksandr Turchynov has said the country will focus on closer integration with the EU.

Mr Turchynov was appointed following the dismissal of President Viktor Yanukovych by MPs on Saturday.

Mr Yanukovych’s rejection of an EU-Ukraine trade pact triggered the protests that toppled him.

Russia, which had backed Mr Yanukovych, has recalled its ambassador to Ukraine for consultations.

Earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the opposition “had in effect seized power in Kiev, refused to disarm and continued to place its bets on violence”.

The US has said parliament’s actions were legitimate and has warned Russia against military intervention.

Mr Turchynov, a close ally of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, gave a televised address late on Sunday, hours after his appointment as interim president.

He vowed to set up a “government of the people”, and said: “We have to return to the family of European countries.”

He added: “We are ready for a dialogue with Russia… on a new, fair, equal and neighbourly basis, acknowledging and taking into account Ukraine’s European choice.”

European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton has announced she is visiting Kiev on Monday to discuss EU support “for a lasting solution to the political crisis and measures to stabilise the economic situation”.

Mr Turchynov said MPs had until Tuesday to form a new unity government.

WTF: A Random Prisoner Attempts To Have Gucci Mane Freed By Pretending To Be A Lawyer

032213-music-gucci-mane

From TMZ:

It’s like the prison version of “My Cousin Vinny” — a random inmate in South Carolina has just prepared legal docs to get Gucci Mane out of jail … and they’re hilarious.

51-year-old Jerry Lewis Dedrick — who’s currently locked up in a Williamsburg federal prison — has taken it upon himself to get Gucci off gun charges (without Gucci asking) filing a scribbled motion.

To his credit, Dedrick has been spending a lot of time reading — not like he has other stuff to do — and claims he’s discovered the key to Gucci’s case.

Several problems — first, his argument makes no sense. Dedrick rambles on about how possessing a gun in itself isn’t a federal crime.

Dedrick isn’t Gucci’s lawyer, so he can’t file docs on the rapper’s behalf. But Dedrick wants the court to forward his legal work to Gucci’s lawyer … hoping it will crack the case.

Gucci’s currently locked up in Georgia following his September arrest for gun and weed possession — and if this is his best shot at freedom, he’s going nowhere fast.

Security Guard For Twista From Shot To Death, Set On Fire In Chicago

CTFL fire-8368baker-022114 3.jpg

Spotted on the Chicago Tribune:

A man who did security work for Chicago rapper Twista was found shot to death and lit on fire in a South Side home Friday.

The man was identified as Davy Easterling by the Cook County medical examiner’s office Sunday.

Easterling was found in an apartment about 6 a.m. Friday in the 8300 block of South Baker Avenue. That same day, Twista had put out messages on Twitter and Instagram, saying that Easterling, who acted as a bodyguard for Twista and who he described as “A close friend of mine,” had been missing for three days.

Twista has represented Chicago in his music for two decades and his name is a nod to his ability to rap fast in a clear and concise manner – he previously was known as Tung Twista.

On Saturday, Twista sent out “#RIP Davy Easterling aka 6’9 I have lost too many good friends to these streets.”

State records indicate Easterling had received a firearms training certificate that would enable him to carry a gun as a security guard.

Police were conducting a homicide investigation.

The Fire Department’s Office of Fire Investigations determined that the fire was incendiary –meaning that it was somehow started by a person — said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford on Saturday.

Firefighters were called to the 2½-story building on Baker Avenue around 6 a.m. Friday, Langford said.

The man found was dead in the bedroom during a primary search, he said.

Smoke detectors were working in the building, Langford said.

Bomb and Arson investigators from the Chicago Police Department are continuing to investigate.

Chris Brown Blames Former Manager For Music Leaks

chris-brown-tina-davis

Chris Brown recently took to his Twitter to accuse his ex-manager — Tina Davis — of leaking his music…he also claims that she won’t hand the tunes over and is sabotaging his upcoming album X as a result:

My old manager is leaking my NEW album music and refuses to give me my back up hard drive to sabotage my album. That’s F’d up G!

Davis has since fired back, tweeting that, instead of throwing accusations, Chris Brown can find his proof with the assistance of his label:

@chrisbrown Trace it! Find out where it originated from…RCA can do that for you. Then send a defaming tweet out on who really did it.

Both tweets appear to have been deleted since….we’ll update you as the story develops.

In related news, Chris Brown has also been spotted shooting a new visual….his new album is set to drop May 5th.

One Direction Is Not Breaking Up…Because Their Still Under Contract Obligations

1d

From TMZ:

One Direction is NOT breaking up — despite reports to the contrary — in fact, TMZ has learned, the group still has to complete 3 more albums under their contract.

Reports have been circulating that 1D is splintering — especially after Liam Payne said he hadn’t seen the other guys in months at the Brit Awards this week — but sources tell us, the D is remaining a package deal.

We’re told the group’s been writing songs separately … but the solo writing is just part of the process — and the guys eventually compare notes with each other to come up with final versions.

And they better do a lot of that … we’re told 1D still owes the label 3 records before they can even think about calling it quits. So, a break-up just isn’t on the table.

Earlier today … Harry Styles told the UK Sun a similar story — saying the group was just taking time to visit family and will be rehearsing again soon.

CNN Axes Piers Morgan’s Show

pm

From USA Today:

It’s the end of the road for Piers Morgan’s CNN show, reports Politico and the New York Times.

“CNN confirms that Piers Morgan Live is ending,” Allison Gollust, head of CNN communications, told Politico on Sunday. “The date of the final program is still to be determined.”

Piers Morgan Live, which earned low ratings, could end as early as next month, though the former British tabloid editor may stay with the network in another role.

Morgan replaced Larry King in the network’s coveted 9 p.m. slot three years ago.

“It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings,” Morgan told the New York Times. “Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it. …That’s run its course and (CNN President ) Jeff (Zucker) and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.”

Morgan was interviewed late last year by London police in connection with an investigation into phone hacking at a newspaper where he had worked, but has not been charged.

Mexican Drug Kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Arrested

From ABC News:

This morning on “This Week,” Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) called yesterday’s capture of Mexican cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman a “great victory” for the United States and Mexico, and called for his extradition to the U.S. to face charges.

Guzman was the head of the infamous Sinaloa cartel, which authorities say is the single largest supplier of illegal drugs to the United States and responsible for an estimated 25 percent of the illegal drugs that cross our southern border. Yesterday morning, Mexican authorities, working in part off of information provided by U.S. immigration and drug enforcement officials, arrested Guzman in a beach town 600 miles from Mexico City.

“This is the world’s most notorious drug lord that got taken down,” said McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. “He’s really the godfather, if you will, of the cartels, that has brought – smuggled – so many drugs into the United States, [and] killed so many people in Mexico and around the world.”

McCaul thanked ICE, DEA and Mexican agents for their cooperation in making the arrest.

“To bring him to justice finally, after so many decades, is a great victory,” he said.

Guzman bribed his way out of a Mexican prison 13 years ago. Considering the country’s poor track record with handling him, McCaul said he hopes the drug lord will be extradited to the United States, where he faces multiple indictments as well.

“This is an exceptional case,” he said. “This is the largest, biggest drug lord we’ve ever seen in the world, and therefore I think extradition to the United States, where there were multiple indictments in multiple cities — San Diego, New York, in Texas and Chicago — where we could deal with him in a secure, safe way and bring him to justice.”

But would Mexico ever let him go, considering his alleged role in tens of thousands of murders in the country?

“I think it depends on how much pressure our State Department, quite honestly, and our administration puts on the current administration to do this. I think their preference, again, would be to try him first in the United States,” McCaul added.

Lethal Bizzle Gets Dench On Justin Bieber Over Name Use

This is hilarious….even more hilarious is David Letterman, who used the issue for his daily top ten segment (above). Dench!

From Metro:

Justin Bieber has forfeited his Bizzle rap name after our very own Lethal Bizzle got his ‘Dench gang’ involved.

Biebs, who counts rappers Lil Za and Lil Twist among his dearest friends, changed his Instagram name to Bizzle last week – presumably in an attempt to fit in with the kids he’s hanging around with nowadays.

The move angered Lethal, who didn’t take kindly to sharing his name with the naughty pop star, and he instantly got to work on Biebs.

Lethal explained: ‘I let the Dench gang loose and Mr Bieber felt the pressure from them to change his name back to Justin Bieber on his Instagram.

‘I guess he realised there’s only one Bizzle after all.’

However, should Biebs ever revert back to his super cool rap name Lethal is up for a charity boxing match to settle the score once and for all.

‘I’m up for a charity boxing match. Winner gets the to keep the name and has to donate their car to charity,’ he added to The Sun.

Ludacris Wants Full Custody Of Break Baby AND Child Support From Baby Mama

Above, Ludacris baby mama at a recent Atlanta Hawks game.

If you recall, we have been reporting on Ludacris, who now has a newborn daughter that he bore outside of his relationship with Eudoxie. We’ve also found out just how much of a shark his lawyer is in family court. From TMZ:

Rapper Ludacris wants to do something so shocking, it will send shock waves through the rap community — he’s fighting for CUSTODY of his kid.

Luda and baby mama Tamika Fuller are duking it out in an Atlanta court over custody and child support. They had a baby girl 2 months ago and Tamika’s been taking care of the kid.

The rapper now says in legal docs he’s a “fit and capable parent” and should get full physical custody. He offers up his parental resume, saying he’s always been “an active father” to his 12-year-old girl.

Now the plot thickens.

Luda has also asked the judge to force Tamika to pay HIM child support. That’s interesting, because Tamika was asking for $15K a month in child support and Ludacris pleaded poverty, saying Paul Walker’s death derailed “Fast & Furious 7” and his cash flow dried up. The judge awarded her $7K a month.

So the question … does Luda really want custody, or is this a way to turn the financial tables?

DMX Dodges Foreclosure In New York

dmx

From TMZ:

Mr. X has a house in Mt. Kisco NY … worth just south of $1 million. Problem is … he’s falling behind on his mortgage … hundreds of thousands of dollars, so the bank initiated a foreclosure action.

Truth be told … the rapper hasn’t paid a penny for 1400 DAYS … since 2008. He currently owes $258,927.

Somehow, the bank hasn’t sealed the deal and taken the house back. The foreclosure action is still active … but DMX is still the owner.

Atlanta Neighborhood To Hold Protest Against Justin Bieber

0222-bieber-temp-pad-tmz-wm-4

From TMZ:

Justin Bieber’s new neighbors aren’t exactly rolling out the welcome mat … quite the opposite, there’s a big protest scheduled for Monday morning thrown by residents who fear their kids will get mowed down by the pot-smoking, sizzurp-slurping speed demon.

Residents in the uber-exclusive area of Buckhead — where Bieber is renting a house from rap mogul Dallas Austin. The Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition is asking protesters to show up at 6 AM ET … and it looks like lots of people will be there.

More than 200 people say they’re gong … after signing a petition which reads, “We have worked hard to achieve our goals and get where we are. Justin Bieber’s relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children.”

The petition goes on, “Some can’t even let their child play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence before. What’s to say he won’t do it again?”

And the end is great: “Please don’t allow a child to ruin what we have worked so hard to obtain.”

Jury Convicts Man In Jet Ski Death Of Usher’s Stepson

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

The man involved in the Lake Lanier wreck that killed 11-year-old Kile Glover was convicted Thursday of homicide by vessel.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was also found guilty of serious injury by vessel, reckless operation, unlawful operation of personal watercraft and boat traffic violation in a Hall County courtroom.

Kile was being pulled on an inner tube when he was run over by Hubbard in the July 2012 incident, investigators have said. Kile died from head injuries about two weeks later.

Kile, the son of R&B singer Usher’s former wife, Tameka Foster, and TV executive Ryan Glover, suffered a major brain injury July 6, 2012, after being run over by Hubbard. Kile and a 15-year-old girl were being towed on an inner tube behind a pontoon boat when they were hit, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources previously said.

Kile, who was wearing a life preserver, was unresponsive when he was pulled from the lake and never regained consciousness.

Hubbard, a family friend, was arrested March 1, 2013, after being indicted by a grand jury. Defense lawyers said Hubbard tried to avoid the children and that what happened was a tragic accident.

“At the end of the day, I know he didn’t do it on purpose,” Foster told Channel 2 Action News. “He could’ve only loved Kile.”

Hubbard was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs. His sentencing is scheduled for March 5 at 1:30 p.m.

Stevie J Faces Possible Prison Time For Owing Over $1 Million In Child Support

Stevie-J

From Radar Online:

Love & Hip Hop star Stevie J was served with a subpoena on Feb. 13 to appear in a New York family court for unpaid child support to the mother of his two children, Carol Bennett, and RadarOnline.com has all the exclusive court documents and details.

According to the paperwork, Stevie — real name Steven Jordan — must appear in court on Feb. 25 because he has “failed to obey the support order dated January 10, 2012.”

“This subpoena requires Steve J’s appearance or an arrest warrant can be issued by the State of New York,” Bennett’s rep, Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez, told Radar.

“This is not a joke!”

Stevie, 42, must provide the court with proof of his income and assets and show any paycheck stubs and income tax returns.

“You may be required to furnish past and present income tax returns; employment statements; proof of health insurance available; pay stubs; corporate, business or partnership books and records; corporate and business tax returns; and receipts for expenses or such other measures of verification as the Court determines appropriate,” the docket states.

Stevie celebrated the grand opening of a new joint venture bar in Atlanta called Sleazy & Zino Bistro & Bar on Feb. 5, which is coincidentally where he was served with the subpoena.

As reported last year, Stevie owes a staggering $1.28 million in child support and over the course of 14 years, has only paid Bennett $132,220.30.

Man Strangles Passenger With Scarf On London Bus (Video)

Spotted on London 24:

A man who strangled a passenger with a scarf on a crowded bus until he passed out in an unprovoked attack has been jailed for eight years.

Sibusio Majola, 33, was found guilty at Isleworth Crown Court today of attempted murder following the attack which took place on the C1 service in December 2012.

He was arrested after CCTV showing the shocking incident on a crowded single-decker bus was released.

His 37-year-old male victim, a security guard travelling to work for the first day of his new job, got on the bus near Victoria at 1.15pm.

Majola got on at Cresswell Gardens in South Kensington and sat behind him. During the journey he said to the victim: “Are you mad?”

The victim replied ‘no’, but a short while later Majola removed a black scarf he was wearing and proceeded to strangle the victim.

Police said whilst doing so he said: “I will kill you.”

The victim passed out and then regained consciousness, but the suspect leaned over the seat and continued to tighten the scarf around his neck.

A spokesman for the Met said he managed to free himself from being choked and ran from the bus in West Cromwell Road near Earl’s Court, where he found two uniformed officers in the street and reported the offence.

Meanwhile Majola remained sat back in his seat and continued his journey.

After an appeal releasing CCTV footage of the incident, he handed himself into a police station on Sunday, December 23, and was charged with attempted murder later that day.

Investigating officer Thomas Norman, of Notting Hill police, said: “This was a totally unprovoked attack on a man who was travelling to work some distance away from where he lives in order to financially support his family.

“Although the physical injuries he sustained were not life-threatening, he continues to suffer physiological distress and has only recently been able to return to work as a security guard.”

Wig Designer Sues Nicki Minaj For $30 Million

Terrence-Davidson-Hair-Nick

Courtesy of Access Atlanta:

An Atlanta wig designer is suing hip hop superstar Nicki Minaj for $30 million, claiming intellectual property infringement.

In the civil complaint filed Friday morning in federal court, Terrence Davidson claims he and Minaj, his former client, struck a deal to form a wig-making business.

But Davidson claims Minaj, whose real name is Onika Maraj, started the business without his consent or knowledge, turning it into a multi-million dollar business selling his designs.

“I actually hand-made these wigs,” Davidson said. “For me to see them in stores and not getting credit for them is upsetting.”

But he said there was nothing in writing between Maraj and himself promising a business agreement.

Neither Minaj nor her representatives could be reached for comment.

Davidson said he worked for Minaj for three years, and the two discussed going into business to market the signature wig designs Minaj became known for wearing.

“She would always say, ‘I got you,’ ” he said. “So I thought I was going to be taken care of. I trusted her. I felt like what we were about to do we were going to do together.”

But roughly a year ago, Davidson said he was surprised to see his designs in stores under the name Pink Personality. Pink Personality, Minaj’s company, is also being sued.

“When I found out,” he said, “I cried.”

Davidson’s attorney Christopher Chestnut accused Maraj of theft and cheating, saying Davidson put other potential business opportunities on hold with the anticipation of working with her.

“She’s stealing his intellectual property,” Chestnut said. “He’s entitled to compensation.”

Lily Allen Is (Reportedly) Naming Her Upcoming Album….’Sheezus’

lily-allen-hints-at-march-2014-return

I can’t wait to see what Kanye West says about this. From MTV, where you can read more of the story:

According to several reports, during her upcoming appearance on BBC One’s “The Graham Norton Show” (which airs in the UK Friday night), Allen will reveal that she’s calling her third album Sheezus, a none-too-subtle salute to West’s most recent record.

“It’s a confident title choice and a little nod to Kanye West,” Allen tells Norton.
