Tyga Ordered To Pay $200,000 For Stealing Jewelry

0124-tyga-jewelry-1

From TMZ:

Tyga was sued last year by Jason of Beverly Hills — a famous jeweler who said Tyga never paid $91k for diamond and gold jewelry back in 2012 (a pantheon timepiece and a chain; pictured below). He also wanted a late fee … which doubled the amount.

Tyga tried downplaying the story when the lawsuit was filed, tweeting, “I don’t f*k with #bitchn**gas @jasonofbh” … however, a judge feels like he did eff with Jason … and entered a default judgement against him.

Total judgment: $208,334.47

Tyga’s rep insists this is “all a misunderstanding” and claims they’re working to rectify the issue.

Cash Money’s The Stafford Brothers Sued For Trashing A Studio In Australia

stafford-Brothers-1

From TMZ:

What do you get when you mix the most popular DJs in Australia, tons of booze, bad ass parties, a music video and a kangaroo — one big, fat lawsuit.

Cash Money Records artists The Stafford Brothers were smacked with the lawsuit this week … after owners of a dope pad they rented in Studio City sued them for allegedly leaving it in shambles.

The owners claim the group threw lots of parties — including one for their music video “Hello” featuring Lil Wayne — violating the lease and wrecking the joint by:

— “Illegal” service of alcohol

— Pouring liquid nitrogen in the house

— Installing a skate ramp

— Allowing a LIVE KANGAROO to roam the house

The owners want the group to ante up more than $100k — plus another $25K in punitive damages to teach them a lesson.

FOR THE HELL OF IT: Pictures Of Daft Punk Unmasked

“Are they women? …Were they really robots? …Is it Pac & Biggie?”

Judging from social networks following the GRAMMYs, it would appear as if a lot of folks really don’t know who Daft Punk is, to the point where…well….the robot masks seem to be all anyone knows. So above, enjoy pictures of the duo without the robotic gear on, and then read more about the artists here (Wikipedia is your friend, for once).

VIDEO: Justin Bieber’s Weak-Ass Drag Race; Details Of Arrest

If you’re interested in reading about Justin Bieber’s arrest in better detail, you can head here. Below is a breakdown of what was supposed to be a Lambo-fueled drag race….

CBS4 in Miami got their hands on the video first, which appears to be just before Bieber and his friend Chief Khalil were arrested early Thursday morning. You can clearly see the yellow Lamborghini that Bieber was driving, the red one Khalil was behind the wheel of, and what appears to be an SUV that may or may not be Justin’s own security.

Up to a point, the video corroborates the initial police report, which claimed that “the vehicles were all traveling in a pack.” What it doesn’t capture though is any moment when the two Lamborghini’s were side-by-side, preparing for their drag race.

“There was other traffic beginning to back up… it appeared that the sports cars were preparing for a drag race,” according to the report. “It appeared to me that they were holding traffic to allow an open road for a race… I heard the engines begin to race as the vehicles took off,” said the officer, which he estimated at 55 to 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Whether or not this video tells the whole story is yet to be seen, but TMZ broke the news yesterday that the company Justin rented the car from has contradicted claims he was speeding. They apparently have GPS systems installed in the vehicles that can also register speed and claim he never broke 30 MPH at the time of his arrest. There are also claims that Justin’s blood alcohol level was no where near how high it was recorded in the police report.

34 Couples To Wed On-Air During Macklemore’s GRAMMY Performance

Macklemore-Wellesley-College

From the Hollywood Reporter:

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ piano-based “Same Love” is set to be a wedding anthem at Sunday’s 56th Grammy awards.

During the rap duo’s performance of the track, the telecast will showcase the live weddings of 34 gay and straight couples, according to The New York Times. Lewis’ sister, Laura, is among those set to reportedly marry her boyfriend, Alex, on live TV.

“Same Love,” which features songwriter Mary Lambert on the chorus, overtly addresses the cultural divide on the issue of gay marriage. “A certificate on paper isn’t going to solve it all/but it’s a damn good place to start,” read the lyrics. The title is nominated in the song of the year category at the awards.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter earlier in the week, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich pledged a night of surprises.

“All things are possible on the Grammy Awards,” the producer said when asked about a Madonna appearance, later adding: “It’s what we do, one of the trademarks of this show, what I’d like to believe separates the Grammys from these other shows. You see artists do things that they just don’t do anywhere else.”

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are nominated for seven honors at the awards, including album of the year for The Heist.

VIDEO/PICS: Gunman In Columbia, MD Mall Attack Identified

Video clip is below. From CNN:

Police say the man arrived at a busy mall in Columbia, Maryland, in a cab, about an hour before he walked into a small shop and fired a shotgun at least half a dozen times, killing two people who worked there.

Why Darion Marcus Aguilar shot two people to death and then killed himself is still a mystery to police. They’re investigating who the 19-year-old man was and whether he even knew the people he shot on Saturday afternoon.

Police said Sunday that Aguilar showed up at The Mall in Columbia in a taxi and stayed in a “generally confined area” before going to Zumiez, a shop that caters to skaters, on the second floor.

There he fired six to nine shots, killing 21-year-old Brianna Benlolo and 25-year-old Tyler Johnson before turning the shotgun on himself.

The shootings, which also left five other people injured, ended a violent week which saw shootings or gun scares at American schools or shopping centers — ordinary places where people once felt safe.

Howard County Police Chief Bill McMahon identified Aguilar as the shooter at a Sunday morning update for reporters.

Aguilar purchased the gun, made by Mossberg, in December, the chief said Sunday.

On Saturday, a federal official briefed on the shooting told CNN that preliminary information indicated the shooting may have been related to a domestic situation.

McMahon said Sunday that police had yet to determine that, but learned Saturday night that Benlolo lived in College Park, Maryland, near the shooter.

Benlolo was an assistant manager at the store and had worked there since November 2012, according to her Facebook page.

Johnson had worked at the store for about three months, according to his Facebook page.

Aguilar also had a backpack that contained two homemade bombs, police said. Both were disabled, authorities said.

Aggressive Driver Assaults Cyclist In London (Video)

Spotted on the Independent:

A cyclist is searching for a man on a bike who was allegedly assaulted by a driver in Farringdon, London.

A video of the incident, which appears to have been captured on Thursday using a camera affixed to the cyclist’s helmet, was uploaded to YouTube under the cyclist’s username George ‘Jude’ Hill.

The footage shows events from Mr Hill’s point of view as he pulls up to a set of traffic lights on the busy road in the centre of the capital. A man on a bike then overtakes Mr Hill, and pauses at the top of the cyclist box.

At the corner of the frame, a white vehicle can be seen edging slowly into shot, and then suddenly moving forward. The car then remains stationary at the lights while taking up the length of the cyclist box.

The alleged victim moves towards the passenger window, and signals to the road while repeatedly saying “this is a cycle area,” at which point the car speeds off from the traffic lights.

As Mr Hill continues down the road, the biker overtakes him and meets the car at the next set of traffic lights. In the footage he can be heard yelling “f*cking pr*ck” at the car’s closed window.

Mr Hill then turns around, by which point the alleged passenger of the car has pushed the man off his bike and appears to punch him in the face.

Passers-by stare as the men shout and gesture at each other in the middle of the road.

Soon, the man is back on his bike and rides off in the opposite direct, as the white car drives away.

Mr Hill commented below the video that he has reported the incident to the police, and is trying to find the cyclist. “Need him to report the incident in order to get prosecutions. Could you all share this as widely as possible to try and find him?” he adds.

It is unclear whether the police have been contacted by the two men regarding the incident.

The footage comes amid growing concerns over cyclist safety in London. 14 cyclist died in the capital in 2013, and in November, the Metropolitan Police began deploying officers at 166 key junctions to stop people breaking road traffic laws in an attempt to make roads safer.
