Ed Sheeran (@EdSheeran) To Go Into The Studio….With One Direction (@onedirection)

Sounds like our favorite ginger-haired Brit Ed Sheeran is planning on helping boyband One Direction out on their next album!
We previously told you that the boys announced they’d have a new album out by the end of this year and it sounds like they’ll be hitting up the studio this summer!
In a recent interview, Sheeran spilled that he’d be passing along two of his unreleased tracks for the 1D guys to use for album number two!
Ed revealed:
“I wrote a couple of songs when I was 17 that One Direction want for their next album. I’m going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them.â€
How exciting! Such a good move on both parts — 1D gets to work with a brilliant singer/songwriter and Ed gets the credits on an album that’s sure to be a global success!
Don’t get too excited to hear a collaboration, though! Ed said “there’s definitely a divide in genre,†so he won’t be featured on the tracks.
We can’t wait to hear what he has saved for the boys, nonetheless!!

I laughed ALL THE WAY OUT LOUD when I saw this. Spotted on Jump-Off TV UK:
Tim Westwood managed to get Mic Righteous’ “Sack City” diss track aimed at him taken down from YouTube due to copyright claims, as Mic Righteous used an audio snippet from one of Westwood’s radio shows, which is legal property owned by Tim Westwood and he obviously wasn’t about to give rights to a diss track aimed at him.
Not much else to explain here, the proof is in the pudding.
Example (@Example) Announces New Single
Example recently announced via his Twitter that he will be dropping a new single called ‘Say Nothing’ (produced by Dirty South), along with a remix featuring TC, Burns, Roska, Foamo & Hardwell. ‘Say Nothing’ will be premiered on Capital FM on Monday 30th July at 8am, and will be performed at the V Festival (along with another track ‘Perfect Replacement’, produced by Feed Me).

Nas (@Nas) – Life Is Good Hits #1
Early reports are out and according to HDD, Nas’ 10th solo album, Life Is Good will debut tomorrow at number 1 with an estimated 139K copies sold in its first week sales. If the numbers holds up, this will be Esco’s fifth number one album. We shall find out tomorrow once the final numbers come out.

Dizzee Rascal (@DizzeeRascal) Reveals Track For The Olympics (@PepperOfficial)
Dizzee Rascal is set to release his official Olympic Games song ‘Scream’ on August 5.
The track – which is one of five tracks that will soundtrack London 2012 – will also feature Dizzee’s protégé, vocalist Pepper.
Other artists who have contributed songs to the sports presentation programme of this year’s Olympics are Muse, The Chemical Brothers, Delphic and Elton John and Pnau, who are all part of the ‘Rock The Games’ programme.

Prince Offered To Be Delilah’s (@delilahmusic) Personal Photographer?

Delilah built up such a good friendship with Prince on tour – he even offered to be her personal photographer.
The Purple Rain legend handpicked the Hackney-born singer to support him on tour dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in June.
And she reveals they bonded over their love of photography.
She says: “He was lovely and we got along like a house on fire.
“We had dinner at the hotel and we hung out and had a couple of parties at the hotel.
“It was weird at first when I thought I’m sitting here with Prince, but by the second day I just felt like he was an old friend. He is very chilled out with people he knows.”
She continued: “We chatted about music and took photographs of the amazing things around.
“He likes his photography and said he wanted to be my personal photographer. He said: ‘Can I come on tour and take photos?’
“Can you imagine? At 1pm on a Wireless stage and Prince flies on a helicopter stage to take photographs.”

Sir Elton John, Lord Lloyd Webber and the rapper Tinie Tempah are among other leading musical figures who have signed a letter to the Daily Telegraph calling for more action to tackle the illegal copying and distribution of music.
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, the producer Simon Cowell, and Professor Green, another rapper, are also among the signatories.
The letter, which will also be sent to David Cameron this week, highlights the role that search engines can play in giving people access to illegal copies.
Search engines must “play their part in protecting consumers and creators from illegal sites,†the signatories say, adding that broadband companies and online advertisers must also do more to prevent piracy.
The intervention is the latest phase of a public row between the British music industry and Google, the world’s biggest internet search engine.

Sherman Hemsley Dies At 74
I am sad to report, Â Sherman Hemsley has passed away earlier today at the age of 74. The cause of death is unclear, but TMZ reports he was discovered by his nurse at this El Paso home in Texas. Sherman Hemsley is known for his role as George Jefferson in the sitcom, The Jefferson.
