Huey Morgan Smashes Mug And Walks Off ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ (Video)

From Digital Spy:

Fun Lovin’ Criminals and 6 Music DJ Huey Morgan storms off BBC Two quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks tonight after falling out with hosts Rizzle Kicks.

The singer started sulking after Rizzle Kicks used Fun Lovin’ Criminals lyrics in the ‘Next Lines’ round of the competition, a standard practice on the comedy music show.

Noticing that Morgan was unhappy, Rizzle Kicks asked: “Are you alright with that?”

Morgan replied: “I’m totally alright with that, I just thought you guys might do something different for a change.”

The hip-hop duo reply: “It’s part of the game Huey… It’s next lines mate.”

Growing increasingly frustrated, Morgan ends the game by smashing his mug on the desk, with pieces shattering across his desk near teammates Phill Jupitus and Laura Whitmore.

“Huey, it’s the game bro, I say a line, you sing the other line. You don’t have to smash a mug in my hair,” laughs Jordan Stephens afterwards.

Morgan continued to grow restless as Rizzle Kicks joked about the incident and rival team captain Noel Fielding mocked the mug smashing incident. As the final shot of the episode was filmed, Morgan walked out of the studio, appearing to be annoyed with the presenters’ behavior.

Toronto Mayor Admits To Smoking Crack

robford012way_wide-ac25ea85cb8a03a3f89963202003a4b5b5c95568-s6-c30

Move over Marion Barry…Toronto’s current mayor has come clean on smoking crack cocaine (we covered this previously, where it was said that he may have been found doing drugs on camera). From BBC News (where you can read more on the story):

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has admitted smoking crack cocaine in a “drunken stupor”, despite denying he had taken the drug.

Mr Ford told reporters at city hall he had taken the drug about a year ago but was not an addict.

The mayor has rejected calls for his resignation after the revelation that a video apparently showing him smoking crack was in police possession.

He has defied calls to quit, vowing to run for re-election next year.

“Yes, I have smoked crack cocaine,” Mr Ford said outside his office on Tuesday.

“There have been times when I’ve been in a drunken stupor. That’s why I want to see the tape.

“I want everyone in the city to see this tape. I don’t even recall there being a tape or video. I want to see the state that I was in.”

But Mr Ford maintained to reporters that when he previously denied using the drug: “I wasn’t lying. You didn’t ask the correct questions.”

Turk Says Lil Wayne, Birdman & More Are Fake Friends

turk_lead

AllHipHop reports:

In the statement exclusively obtained by AllHipHop, Turk claims the Cash Money/Young Money bosses (including Roland “Slim” Williams) and Mannie Fresh did not provide any financial or tangible support on burial of his brother, Ronald Smith in 2010. His father, Tab Virgil Sr recently passed on October 30th from an apparent homicide. Aside from support, Turk alleges to even have an open line of communication with the men he’s worked with since 1996 and known longer:

I been calling texting you n*ggas and ain’t receive no call bacc…I’m through trying to make you nig*as look real. When my lil brother got killed I had to bury him out of my attorney fee$ money and now it happend again with my daddy and I have bury him by myself with no help from you so called FRIENDS.

Justin Bieber Offered Pimp Apprenticeship at Nevada Brothel

Best-Justin-Bieber-2013-HD

Huffington Post reports:

“He’s going downhill and we want to help him,” Hof said. “I know he’s from Canada, but his fan base is here, so I’d like him to buy American.”

He thinks the singer’s involvement in the Bunny Ranch could make legal prostitution more mainstream and even has a slogan ready: “Be a Belieber in safe sex.”

“It’s a personality-driven business. We want the young demographic he represents,” he said. “We are creating a special Bieber suite that includes posters, and all his albums on the CD player. Plus, all the visitors can take the bedsheet with them.”

It might seem that Beiber’s mostly female demographic isn’t likely to show much interest in visiting a brothel — even one endorsed by the singer — Hof disagrees.

“This isn’t your dad’s Bunny Ranch,” he said. “Ten to 12 percent of our business is from females.”

Bieber’s camp hasn’t publicly commented on his alleged Brazilian brothel visits, and it’s highly doubtful they will comment publicly about Hof’s business proposition.

That’s OK with Hof, who said discretion is a key component to his occupation.

“We have celebrities and politicians in and out of here on a weekly basis, and you don’t hear about any of them being spotted by paparazzi,” he said. “We have private and discreet entrances for them, and we never have to wrap any of them in bed sheets.”

If you didn’t know about Dennis Hof from the Bunny Ranch HBO show, just know that he’s a shrewd business man and extremely good at pimping. Careful Biebs.

DMX Arrested In South Carolina…Again

1104dmxarticlewmmugshot3

TMZ reports:

Rapper DMX needs a professional driver to keep him out of jail — he just got arrested … again … for three offenses while driving at the airport in South Carolina.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … DMX — aka Earl Simmons — was pulled over by cops at the airport in Spartanburg, SC and nailed for driving on a suspended license, driving while uninsured, and driving an unlicensed vehicle.

A rep for the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport says officers noticed DMX as soon as he pulled up to the terminal — and were apparently well versed on his track record.

X is familiar with the suspended license charge — he’s been slapped with that one multiple times. His most recent busts were for allegedly possessing weed (in Aug.) … and an alleged DUI (in July).

DMX is still in custody, and will have to see a judge — with whom he’s probably on a first name basis — before he can get out.

Later on, Garci talked about his new mixtape, “Stove Top Recipe” and his group’s mixtape “Mobbin Season” and more.

Church of Nobody: “Principles of Protagonist” – Willis Earl Beal & King Krule

Church of Nobody: “Principles of Protagonist” – Willis Earl Beal & King Krule

I don’t care who you are. Press play, skip to the 6:40 mark, and just listen….

Sounds like some black Nirvana type ish, with a touch of Sunday revival . …So beautiful. … So Heavy.

Willis Earl Beal finally impressed me with this! …Well actually, he’s impressing me with this whole Church of Nobody live performance series.

Beal performs in this first episode of the series (above).. …But King Krule follows up with the 2nd performance. …Which I think is super dope. King Krule is one of my favorite artists right now. Matter of fact, with the exception of Beal‘s “Nobody Knows” cover (ie the song at 6:40), …King Krule‘s performance is probably a better overall performance. (below)

Either way, both dope though.

Each episode of the eight part series is supposed to be a book in Willis Earl Beal‘s “Church of Nobody”.

Eight live episode performances. Each standing for one of the Eight “Principles of Protagonist”. (below)

f7e80df0“Principles of Protagonist”:
1. Sincerity: Never say or do anything contrary to your overall intentions.
2. Restraint: Be Moderate. Never fully indulge. Detach yourself somewhat
3. Composure: Never allow yourself to appear nervous. Project serenity. Always pace yourself. Don’t try to keep up.
4. Ability: Be able to learn & apply. Knowledge should equal skill.
5. Levity: When interacting with people, avoid rigidity. Let them pass through you. Be like a thin wall of water.
6. Consistency: Be a pro. Don’t be erratic. Gain trust by being reliable.
7. Neutrality: Don’t take sides. Internalize no politics. Take up no other cause except your own. Be empty.
8. Order: You don’t have to be perpetually clean, but know where your shit is when you need it.

…The combination of which are advisory ways on how to live your life.

willis1Beal‘s episode was Sincerity. …Krule‘s episode was Restraint. Both are crazy good. …Be sure to check them out. ..Trust me. You’ll “feel” them. Enjoy…

Snakadaktal do always have some pretty “interesting” videos… #SideEyeWithASmile( …me smirking as I watch their latest video for “Fall Underneath”)

Always dope! I like them (90% of them) …But you gotta be the artsy, [Ek-lec-tik] type to appreciate a lot of it. (ie Me! #eclectic) …haha

SNAK3BIG1

Anyways, I love Snakadaktal‘s music. Definitely one of my favorite bands right now. …Sonically they’re excellent. Check out the latest video they did for “Fall Underneath” (posted below). …It’s super creative as always. … Something you gotta let sit for a bit before you can appreciate it. …But worth the patience for sure!

snakadaktal-album-cover-sleep-in-the-waterIts off their most recent album, [Sleep In The Water]. …One of the better tracks. …but nowhere close to my favorite “Hung On Tight”. Posted that below as well, plus a link to a previous, more detailed article I’d written on Snakadaktal a while back. Enjoy…

Videos: “Chamakay” & “You’re Not Good Enough” – Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes) [Cupid Deluxe]

Videos: “Chamakay” & “You’re Not Good Enough” – Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes) [Cupid Deluxe]

You have no idea how bad I am anticipating the release of this album ([Cupid Deluxe]). November 19th couldn’t get here any sooner.

BloodOrangeCoastalGrooves600Mg030811The last album, [Coastal Grooves], legitimately made my summer of 2012.

…I rode up the entire west coast listening to this. Bought the album on a whim. Pure curiosity….

Stumbled across one of the videos via Fader online, but couldn’t find much else. The song’s album wasn’t in stores anywhere in the US, and I couldn’t find any streams online. …So I just went ahead and imported it. I knew I’d be going on a road trip soon, so new music would be perfect. …Sidenote: Road trips are the best times to listen to new music. I always buy a bunch of new albums for the road. #hippieLife

IMG_2143

Anyways, doing that was the best move ever. [Coastal Grooves] was a perfect album to groove up the coast with. I loved the style. Loved the musical nuances. (Blood Orange is a musical mastermind! Easily comparable to that of Kanye West.) …. And I loved how Blood Orange reminded me of Prince. …Real similar vocal deliveries. Delicate nostalgia…

dev-hynes-guardian-guide-magazine-cover-060811In conclusion. [Coastal Grooves] was a surprisingly super dope album that in many ways blew me away and made Blood Orange aka Dev Hynes, one of my favorites artists to watch. (He also produced did Solange’s most recent EP fyi).

With that being said, the new album [Cupid Deluxe] drops Nov. 19th. Two singles have been released so far. “Chamakay” being the first and probably my favorite. “You’re Not Good Enough” being the latest of the two.

Both have a slightly different vibe then most of the songs on [Coastal Grooves], but never the less, good songs, and I expect nothing but greatness from this album. Posted the videos for the two singles as teasers until the album drops. And if you’re interested in getting the album on vinyl, go ahead and get your copy/pre-order from our store (here). The cover art is too dope not to have! smh. Anyways, Enjoy…

Extra Bonus: Here’s one of Dev’s earlier videos. Not on either album. …Actually not even sure if its on any album. (shrugs shoulders). …[Coastal Grooves] is still Dev’s best work though.

Ahhh… I’m never gonna get any sleep.

Doing my damnest to catch yall up on some good music. …I’m behind, trying to play catch up. …But there’s so much good!! smh

Just listen to this dope new track by NONONO. “I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m scared…” …so #dope

You won’t expect the song to be as good as it is from the way it starts off. But ….Ahh!… no way “Scared” doesn’t get into you eventually! …It’s a cold jam. Almost alternative blues-like. #different. Enjoy…
